Paul and the poet Ivor Cutler waiting for the bus of Magical Mystery Tour to start their itinerary around London in the most popular places.
London,1967;
I always thought this picture was from the 70’s and when i bought the beatles anthology i found out that it was taken in 1963, he looks exactly like 70s Paul here.
This is another proof to those who say he got replaced in 1966..
the hair,the weight and the sassy looks from the 70s.
“I see this as a huge honour for me and my family and I think of how proud my Liverpool mum and dad would have been to see this.”
[Paul’s statement about receiving The Companion of Honour award today, 4th May 2018]
Photos of Paul, accompanied by Nancy, at Buckingham Palace today to receive The Companion of Honour award from the Queen. Paul wore a custom made suit, designed by Stella.
The Companion of Honour was established in 1917 as a special award which can be held by only 65 people at any one time. It recognises services of national importance and has been granted to people who have made major contributions to arts, science, medicine or government. The award doesn’t come with a title or precedence, but those inducted into the single-class order are entitled to use the post-nominal letters CH. Potentially, Paul could style his name as Sir Paul McCartney, Kt, MBE, CH. There are currently 62 members including our Paul.
Andy: “Who’s your favorite big rock band, Noel?”
Noel: “I’d have to say U2”
Jarvis: “Aw, f*** off!. You don’t like U2!”
Noel: “I know U2 are naff, but they took five years off and came back with ‘Achtung Baby’ and, as far as I could tell they’d actually listened to the Mondays and the Roses and learnt. And it was good. They could have made ‘The Joshua Tree’ for the rest of their careers. But they had the guts to break their own mould”.
