KLr news, July 22
[#] Long time no news entry! Here’s some!
[#] First an unpleasant thing. Deutsche Post increased massively the cost of the so-called “Buch und Wären Sendung”, the small packages that you typically received with out tapes. The cost to ship to the US will be close to 9 €! In order to not shift all the cost to our fans oversees, we had to increase the cost of tapes to 6 €. We didn’t want to join the speculation crowd, but it is really Deutsche Post that forced us to do that.
[#] After a very excellent show in West Germany almost two weeks ago, where they presented also some new songs, Halfsilks will play Fusion Festival this week end, they will be on stage Saturday. In the same festival you ca catch also Jana’s solo Point No Point and Karen’s band Gym Tonic. And, as usual, a lot of very great music, and an inimitable atmosphere.
[#] The Sunday Matinee is resumed, alive and kickin’! We did our June edition some days ago, in the wonderful garden of Villa Kuriosum, hosting live sets of Pieuvre, Rocky Lorelei and Gonghi, plus dj Vomit and the super delicious food of Los Nopales. Drop a line for be in the newsletter -->>[email protected]
[#] We are very happy to announce that we will release a second album from the terrific Earthlogoff. The album is called “Tritium” and sound like an earthquake. Catch them live Saturday July 9th in Kopi!
[#] September 21th is the release date of Matching Outfits first tape, called “A Band Made Out Of Sand”. It features 9 wonderful pop tunes, mastered by Brian Pyle, and you will all be in love with them!
[#] Two shows to catch our beloved Mumbles in the near future: 31.07 in Your Guts Festival, in Hamburg and 24.09 at Ghost Town Berlin.
[#] Very fist show of The Post Spiderhole Ensemble as a band, Sunday Matinee 24.07! More news soon!!!
[#] More releases coming up this year: Adrie’s LP! Ultrabonus! Saiko Ryusui! Vorsicht Kinder! Pieuvre! but all in due time :-)

Presenting my evil twin, SuperCheri
Who knows me also knows how I truly dig music millions of light years from my ecstatic drones that I do as DuChamp. I like to dance, to begin with. I love a lot of loud rock music, the louder the better! So, it happens that in between 2020 and 2021 I had really a lot of time, spend like all of you in waves of anxiety, depression, despair etc. Well, we all went through the pandemic (I actually have Covid right now that I am writing, but being I’m three times vaccinated, it’s still ok) so don’t need to explain. I found myself with time to make music, but with my practice room closed. And my DuChamp music is the music of extasy and I was so far away from that. So I decided to do, as exercise, the following. I had to come up with at least a song for session. The session were in my bedroom, and I was using my Tascam 4-track only. I only had 4 tracks so I had to decide. Actually one track was always the drum machine, so I had 3. I sat there to play, and then, as it always happens, music comes. It turned out to be quite personal, although most songs are very political (personal is politics, right?). Since my husband published his home recording album (The Post Spiderhole ensemble), and it was very well received (it is actually absolutely amazing), I decided that my album should see the light of the day as well. So we publish on Kitchen Leg records. Recording it was a journey, a hard but amazing one, I was literally devouring Tape Op and all interviews with Susan Rogers (the engineer of Prince in “Sign O’ Times”) and then what I learn, is that you have mostly to trust your ears, on tape you got no other clues. I spend one entire day to set up the mic in order to have the guitar sound I wanted. I decided to record the bass on D.I. only, as my bass is absolutely gorgeous (it’s an Höfner!). And couldn’t do punch in by myself, so I had to repeat any time I played wrong, that was aweful, but it also teaches you something. So, those are the songs. “Solida” is a song, that weirdly came out in Italian, about the need to girls and females of being assertives and say “no” when they want, without justifications or excuses. “We despise you” is a song against the cops. It was inspired when I went to a demo for the housing right and there was a lot of cops in front of new buildings, while during the demo of the no-vax, often violent and threating, cops were almost no there. Let’s not call defense or protection of citizen. (For the record: in the last year I had an encounter with a cop that was a very good person, still as a whole don’t like them). “Musicbox” is a piece of heart, is dedicated to the record shop where I used to go as a teen, a wonderful place where I discovered all I know, more or less. “Spinterogeno” is a surf/exotica song. I am crazy for exotica, everyone knows it. “Time” is modeled on “A love bizarre” and I had my husband to sign on it. Talk about time, it’s in between Seneca and Luigino Bruni articles on lithurgy. “Future Tense Bolero” is my anarchist anthem, is about building the future we want NOW and not get discouraged, never, because it will be. “I’m Not” is about the fact that despite I get older, still I don’t care about a lot of things I should, like make career, having the right friends, and sit properly on a chair. “Step Back” is about serial monogamy. I know is better to be alone for a bit to enjoy your own company and set your boundaries, but it never happen to me. “Null Hypothesis” is about the scientific method, First, you should trust your data, and then get other to trust to. Logic and deduction! “Work of Wonders” is for my mom, that left me almost two years ago. As you all know, she was my fist fan, and she was such a wonderful and unique being. I will do a lot of things as artist thinking about her, and the first one is here.

Performing at Noiseberg next Sat!

♫♩♫♩ will once again shake the tiles off the atelier, for a very special event that might or might not be the start of another series. This time we will stick (not literally) to the ground floor area, so no cramming everyone in the tiny sound studio for obvious reasons. On that topic: proof of total immunity + ID + mask, or keep walking — we like people who keep each others safe. Max attendance 20 people, book your ticket on https://www.eventbrite.com/e/206237671427/.For those who can't join (or if the covid numbers get alarmingly high), the event will be broadcast in a 3D version of the space, accessible on your favourite digital device (mobile telephone, personal computer, or virtual reality headset) on https://live.noiseberg.orgNow that's out of the way, here comes the part about music, and we have planned a little selection of food for the ears — sonic canapés and noisy amuse-gueules — to get your evening started. Here's the menu:~
Ernesto Carcamo Cavazos — Degustation of Hi-Hat and Electronics https://www.ernestocarcamo.com - Mexican composer and instrumentalist Ernesto Cárcamo Cavazos will play excerpts from his upcoming release “Cascabeles” a six-course meal of Hi-Hat and electronics — an electroacoustic composition complementing instruments with processing and generative electronics. The piece is funded by MusikFonds and Die Beauftrage der Bundesregierung für Kultur und Medien and Voltage Control Records.+
Auunan — Cream Noise https://soundcloud.com/auunan - A fresh arrival on the Berlin markets, Auunan's warm sound collages are a musical Baumkuchen: morphing layers of washed out loops and eerie melodies, slowly cooked with electric guitar and sound machines, and glazed in a noise dream.+
Du Champ — Tutti Droni https://duchampdrone.tumblr.com - A Noiseberg special wouldn't be complete without DuChamp's melodic drone tunes marinated in dark atmospheres. Served with a side of accordion, keyboard, or barytone guitar depending on the season.+
Régis Lemberthe — Confiture de Non-Input http://sounds.lemberthe.com - Playing with a variation of the ultraminimal Noisette setup, Régis Lemberthe peels, slices, and hacks melodies into sonic cubes ready to be sautéed, and serves them with a generous drizzle of electromagnetic interferences.=//..EXPECTED SCHEDULE..\\ \\ SHOWS START ON TIME // kinda but mostly 18.15 Régis Lemberthe 19.00 Auunan 19.30 DuChamp 20.15 Ernesto Carcamo Cavazos 21.00 The End? - - Noiseberg is a monthly, non-profit event. You may make a donation in form of moneys (0 to 10€) to the musicians—It isn't mandatory but qualifies you as patron of the arts, which is nice. All music performed is free of any registered content but we're still going to pay GEMA, because they scared us enough before. By the way, there is still this amazing album available for anyone who wishes to help with the big bill we had to pay so they wouldn't break our legs probably: https://noiseberg.bandcamp.com/album/71373

New release soon from Supercheri!
Supercheri is the analogue 4-track minimal funk, bedroom rock, bold lo-fi electronics project of the Italian half of Kitchen Leg records. Most of the songs were composed during the spring 2020 lockdown (how original!), when she could reconnect to her old and faithful Tascam as a mean of writing songs, using the crudest drums machines, bass, guitar and organ. Supercheri likes to think herself as an hell raiser, star chaser, trail blazer, natural born raver, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Noiseberg reloaded tomorrow at 5 pm!
https://electricoffense.be/virtual
Electric Offense ϟ Noiseberg— EO (enthusiastic): Today, we present you another takeover !!! EO is proud to welcome Noiseberg from Berlin, let's see what they have to say— NB (solemn): Hello dears, I hope you've been keeping busy and made the best of this little time living like hermits. I don't know you but I've missed you all. I'm also missing going to shows, a LOT, and damn me if these online screenings and streamings are doing the job. We tried it last year, remember? It was awesome music and lovely musicians, but the interaction — how we did miss the interaction.Anyway.Now, there's this nice Belgian bunch called Electric Offense, who are running this quaint little online space, not unlike the inside of an old first-person video game, minus the mobsters and/or aliens to shoot. They happen to have a venue in there where we can play music and, most importantly: watch it together. And they're happy to let us takeover their space for some events. So, should we give it a try? Here is yourOFFICIAL INVITATION TO NOISEBERG x ELECTRIC OFFENSE #1 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Sunday, February 7. Doors open 5pm Music starts 5.30pm https://electricoffense.be/virtual Join with or without VR goggles, in your firefox / chrome browser or right from your pocket computer. Best served with headphones.Like in any real-world concert, your own sounds have the potential to disturb other people's experience, so please restrict mouth noises to between the sets. On that note: it seems people online are sometimes mean to each other, can you believe it? As a result, please follow Electric Offense's code of conduct: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/...What else? Right.THE LINE-ÜP:Laure Boer — shamanistatic music / france http://laureboer.com - Laure Boer's sets are a bit of a mystical experience, propped by instruments from faraway lands and objects of the past tweaked into sound machines—they are intricate electroacoustic patchworks perpetually morphing ito each other until they are really just one big warm bug nesting in your brain.=Matt Burnett — song without qualities / usa https://mattburnett.wordpress.com - We know Matt Burnett for his tendencies to plug more inputs into a single soundcard than any insurance covers; to mashing all the sounds in weirldy sensical patterns; to drinking the coffee and doing the things. He describes his new project as Das Lied Ohne Eigenschaften and I too wonder what it means.=DuChamp — durational voodoo / italy http://duchampdrone.tumblr.com/ - Somewhere between electroacoustic symphonies and synthetic drone tunes, Du Champ's sonic chemistry is backed by an everchanging combination of accordion, keyboard and barytone guitar. The mélange gradually reacts into dark hypnotic clouds rising from the ground up, before culminating into a freaking fireworks show.=Wissam Sader & Régis Lemberthe — harmonic drone / lebanon & france https://www.wissamsader.com http://sounds.lemberthe.com - The accidental harmonium duo of Wissam Sader and Régis Lemberthe was about double the atmospheric, slowly-unraveling drones as would be a harmonium solo, and was mostly performed to put people to sleep in strange places. It now loses one harmonium and gains an e-organ, so maybe it'll be slightly different.=Noisette — oleaginous noise / nutella® http://youtube.com/watch?v=SNJ9bm8u2Hc - Inferring electric occurrences from electromagnetic interferences, Noisette's no-input, no-bullshit noise is all about plugging things into themselves and letting them do as much buzz, humm and t-t-t as pleases them. It's fine until it is no longer fine, but then it's too late anyway.≠Running order still tbc, just come a the start why don't you?See you soon, (っ⌒ ∗ ⌒)っ— EO (conclusive): Oh, and as always, a very big thank you to Mixcloud for granting us the permission to integrate 𝗠𝗶𝘅𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲 with our novel concept!

Tehrapiegruppe review on “Westzeit”!
https://www.westzeit.de/rezensionen/?id=2192
TEHRAPIEGRUPPE
Zu Krank für Punk
Kitchen Leg Records
