So I’m stuck on this episode and I’m going to have to rewatch it later but I need to write this out and maybe I’ll delete it, or just not tag it but a thought just went through my head.

Eddie is a good father and I’m not saying by any means that he’s not however I feel like he used Chris as a scapegoat. He had to have known that Buck would let the argument go when he saw Chris in the house because there is no way Buck would ever allow Chris to see him and his dad fight. He wouldn’t let Chris feel even an ounce of what he felt growing up.

You can headcanon it on fanon and say it's ok and all that, but the number of buddie shippers saying how "romantic coded" their fights are really worries me.

Fingers crossed that Tommy and his LAFD helicopter swoop in and save Evan. Or if he gets hurt, Tommy’s there in the hospital when he wakes up. Just give me one more Tommy saves the day episode this season. Fingers crossed for a back yard wedding next season. Perhaps in Athena grants garden so that they’re somehow connected to Bobby even though he’s not there.

Some of the off the wall things people are posting here post episode make me cringe. I just saw a post saying that they better not make Buck Captain or they will “yeet that shit so far away”. Do I think he’s ready no but I do think he would succeed I also think he needs someone who will actually train him and teach him. Realistically I would like to see Buck leave the 118. I think to grow he needs to step away from the “family” to an extent they seem to be holding him back. I’m so tired of the same rhetoric that Buck is to this or to that and a swear it’s like they slipped back into making him out to be a child. Personally I think he could easily be for the others what Bobby was but they just do see it because they’re still so focused on seeing Buck as Bobby’s kid and not an adult. I’m sure none of that made sense but hey other people can bitch why can’t I.

Oh and fuck Eddie, that whole kitchen conversation was giving grocery store all over again and the inability to apologize. Oh and the almost decking Buck. It’s been 6+ season and we’re still resulting to violence and belittling Buck.

Oi,oi,oi. People. Just saw a post bitching about Eddie not immediately flying back to LA. People do realize that Eddie literally is having money issues. Like Chris turns down a ps5 money issues. One simply cannot just buy plain tickets when one does not have money. I missed my grandmothers funeral last year because of money. Sometime shit happens.

On another note holy hell Bucks grays are graying.

And since I’m rambling anyway laying Bobby to rest with his kids absolutely broke me. For me that was the proverbial nail in the coffin that he truly is gone.

As much as I love 9-1-1 (still reasonably pissed with their decisions) I feel like the show runners have the opportunity to bring everything to a close this season and end it on a high note. Buck and Tommy get back together, Eddie and Chris reconcile and move back to LA, Maddy has the baby (Kevin), Bobby and Athena rebuild the house, and Hen and Karen have Mara back. Hell with Ravi coming back you could get him promoted to full time A team. Reasonably you could do a season 9 where buck and Tommy get married and all that but then I fell like your just repeating Lone Star.

With the possibility of another spin off on the horizon and the fact that 9-1-1 is in its 8th season I suspect it’s possible we could be seeing the show end this season if that’s true and season 8 is the end I see things going one of two ways. Either Eddie moves back to El Paso and Buck reconciles with Tommy. Or Buck helps fix things between Eddie and Chris and Buck ends up with Eddie. I say this because both endings result is the resolution of storylines for multiple people. Either we see Eddie happy with his son and Buck happy with Tommy or we see Buck and Eddie happy with each other. All the other main crew are settled. Chim and Maddy will have jee and the new baby. Hen and Karen have Denny and Mara. I expect that Bobby and Athena will get their new house. There really only two story lines to wrap up. Eddie and Buck. The question becomes what do they choose in the writing room. I will say it feels like the show is approaching its natural ending.

Okay so I am one of the few viewers who actually didn’t hate Abby. Was she a perfect person, no does she have flaws absolutely, however she was key to Bucks story. I remember everyone treating Buck like a love sick puppy who couldn’t make his own decisions. While obviously he held on too long the way his friends treated the relationship at the end was frankly kinda terrible. I am all ready seeing the parallels with the Tommy break up and I do not like it. Lord hoping Buck can figure this out on his own because apparently he’s not gonna get any help.

So Dr Wolf has face blindness right? Anyone else concerned it wasn’t actually Dr. Nichols he kissed. Like obviously I don’t think it was some stranger but like it’s absolutely a possibility. He mentioned identifying him by his hands so idk. He was pretty confident it was him I guess.

On a side note I just realized that Lou’s birthday is Sunday and he wont get the birthday video like everyone else on 911 and to have all this drama overshadow the day too. I’m really just disappointed is the fumbling on abcs part to not address anything that has occurred both recently and in the last few months.

I’m very curious how many of us are going to watch next weeks episode live/at all. I have zero plans to watch anything live through the rest of the season because I refuse to be blind sided again and with the state of the world my mental health is more important than this show. Additionally I’m very interested to see if there is a shift in viewer ratings next week.

Last thought of the night and this is crazy 2 am ramblings. If we can’t have Lou on 9-1-1 what would it take to get the man onto 9-1-1 Hawaii? Many people may not agree but I enjoy his presence as an actor and unfortunately I’m not a fan of SWAT so this would be a great opportunity to keep him around.

I would be very curious to know if Lou decided to leave or if he wasn’t given the choice at all or if this is all temporary and he’ll be back later. With Oliver Stark out here talking about having buck sleep around I certainly wouldn’t want to stay on the show. I’m not sure of his background but I can tell you this I would not want my image/person tied to a show that perpetuated the stigma that bisexual people are whores. It is possible that he got wind of them having buck and Tommy temporarily break up to allow buck time to “explore” and he said f that I’m out. I would love a tell all from him but I can guarantee you this ABC issued a gag order/NDA to protect their “image”.

I would apologize for the multiple posts but fuck it I’m not sorry. I feel like abc just shoved my queer identity in the closet and said fuck you, you don’t matter. How did we go from Josh’s beautiful speech to Tommy (who looked at boiled out buck with heart eyes) and what ever that crap was. I’m heartbroken for my identity and bucks “hamster wheel”. So help me god if they have buck sleep around. What sucks is that this is a comfort show for me and now I know I won’t be able to watch past seasons without feeling like I’m supporting a system that wants to erase my existence. If they wanted to up the drama it would have made 100x more sense to have buck break up with Tommy.

I don’t have it in me to deal with what could be a seasons worth of pining and “dating around” or what ever they have planned because as a bisexual person this just feels like blatant bi stigma/phobia. God forbid someone believes buck knows what he wants. I’m not even sure if I’ll be watching live anymore because I can’t emotionally handle the fallout on top of the felon in office.
