You make me seem like a jerk.
Drew asked me to let the people know he is not an asshole. He is a big sweetie who just takes his musicals seriously.

I didn't tell you to shut up! You're going to make people think I'm mean.
Drew told me to shut up for Gee Officer Krupke 馃槶
And he said I was rude 馃檮

I have to pay you a visit just so I can take your phone and make you a new theme 馃槶
It was cuter with the pic of Marvin as your header
What's wrong with my theme? You're the one who made my profile picture.
That picture of Marvin was just a placeholder.
And you know you're more than welcome to come over anytime. Mom is always loves having you over.

What is your favorite scene and musical number from West Side Story ?
Favorite scene differs for productions!
My favorite number is "Gee, Officer Krupke"! That's been a constant since I was a kid!
I saw a community production of it in Brooklyn in 2014 with @mccarthaevita and my mother. I loved their version of "One Hand One Heart".
From the 1961 film my favorite scene is the finale scene because Natalie Wood deserved an Oscar for it. She wasn't even nominated! It's such a powerful scene.
From the 2021 film my favorite scene is when Bernardo, Anita and Maria are in the kitchen the morning after the dance. I love the little bit we get to see of their lives together before tragedy strikes.

Who's your favorite WSS character? Ask Meredith too.
I'd have to say Doc and Valentina. They're both mostly neutral. I did play Doc in my high school production. Wish we still had it on video, but we lost so many things in the move.
Mom said Anita, but that Mr. Alvarez's portrayal of Bernardo in the 2021 movie almost made her change her mind just because "he's handsome".

You can only watch and listen to ONE Sondheim musical for the rest of your life.
Also ask Meredith. I wanna know her answer too.
Why would you do this to me?
Am I stuck on only one single production of the musical. Or is it only one musical, but any production?
Because it's obviously Gypsy. If it's only one production, I'd say the 2003 Broadway revival production of Gypsy.
Mom said Into the Woods. And for specific production, the original Broadway Cast.

Did you hear Phantom is closing 馃槶
Yes! It is very sad news. However, the silver lining is we'll have an empty theater to put in a new show or revive an old show.
I'd like to see Love Never Dies get a second chance with a little bit of some changes.
But knowing Andrew Lloyd Webber, that won't happen.

Did you see the new West Side Story movie yet? How do you feel about it? What are your thoughts? Do you also have a crush on Mike Faist like the rest of us?
I did! Took mom to go see it in theaters. We loved it, though the finale scene felt so rushed. That scene doesn't hold a candle to the 1961 film.
I loved the inclusion of Valentina! Loved the scene when she taught Tony Spanish.
I don't have a crush on Mike Faist, but I think he did a great job as Riff as expected. Mr. Faist is a very talented man.
As is the rest of the cast. Miss Rachel Zegler was a very good Maria! I love her performance. Mr. Elgort who played Tony was also very good!
Miss Ariana Debose was phenomenal! Her performance as Anita was so beautiful. David Alvarez was also a very good Bernardo.
I think the casting directors hit it out of the park. Mr. Steven Spielberg should direct more musicals.

DREW STEPHEN SONDHEIM DIED
I know. My mother wept for three days. She was devastated. I think she cried more for Mr. Sondheim than she did for my father.
She lights a candle for him every single day since.

Do you listen to non musical music? Who's your favorite artist?
That's a hard one. I listen to Broadway performer's solo music. Does that count? Or do you want someone completely separate from Broadway?
I listen to Sara Bareilles. She's one of my favorite singers, but I guess being that she wrote the music for Waitress and was just in Into the Woods, she doesn't count.
My mom raised me with old Jazz. So I listen to a lot of Art Blakey, John Coltrane. Norah Jones is also very good.
I'd say if you want to know what I listen to when I'm not listening to musicals, go find any "Classic Jazz" playlist and that more or less is what I listen to.

Have you found your cat?
This is old. My apologies. We did find Marvin, but he unfortunately passed away in March. He was an old boy and I miss him dearly.

YOURE STUCK ON AN ISLAND
WHO ARE YOU STUVK WITH
WHAT 3 THINGS DO YOU HAVE?
This is why I don't fly nor do I go on boats. I stay on the continent and away from large bodies of water. Just leave me with a pool.
I would hope to be stranded with my mom or Miss Geena Davis. Why Miss Davis? Because she is an exceptional archer and could catch us some food.
Three things? Books. 1. My Bible 2. War & Peace by Leo Tolstoy 3. Frankenstein by Miss Mary Shelley

Seen any Broadway shows lately?
Did you take Meredith to see Into the Woods?
I did! And she loved it. She's got a crush on Mr. Joshua Henry now.
We are hoping to see Phantom of the Opera before it closes!
Our outings have been limited because of the pandemic. Although we're both fully vaccinated and everything is more normal, mom still has some worries about getting sick.
She mostly stays home. Thank God for BroadwayHD! She's been on a Sondheim cycle since he passed last year.

Yes! Mom would love that. She misses you.
Sorry for the inactivity. Mom had a fall down the stairs. Didn't break anything, thank God.
However, she is in a lot of pain. Won't be doing any dancing around the house for a while.
She's got a walker now and is not crazy about it. I thought we should get her a chair lift for the stairs, but she insists she doesn't need one.
Might need @mccarthaevita to talk some sense into her.

has anyone told you you look like andrew rannells?
Yes. Every single day. It was flattering at first but now it's just a bit annoying.
The new one, though is my friend said I look like the "bland" Pedro Pascal.
Which was a joke about me being white, but joke's on them because I take that as a compliment.
He is a very handsome man.
