Me leaving the theatre December 17 2015: Wow! I can’t wait for Finn to become a Jedi and lead a storm trooper revolution, and Rey to be a skywalker/Kenobi, and Poe to be a main character with development and lead with Leia, and Luke helping his sister lead the new rebellion and train Finn and Rey. And Hux and Kylo and Phasma are gonna be an evil trio! So much cool stuff is gonna happen!

The fight between Boba Fett and Koska Reeves fills me with so much joy because Bo-Katan is all “hey, hey, break it up” while Din just stands there prepared to let Boba wreck the whole place and it’s a perfect alignment chart of people who grew up in families where sibling arguments were settled with grappling hooks, fists and occasionally fire (Boba, Din, Koska) and people who only fought with their siblings using cold, cold words (Bo-Katan & Satine).

my brain: There’s no way Cassian and Jyn survived Scarif. Their stories are over, plain and simple, and had they lived it would have detracted from the emotional impact of the story

actually one of my favourite things about the mandalorian is that like every character is at least 40. no angsty teen heroes here, just a bunch of middle aged adults becoming aunts and uncles to a baby that is also 50 years old.
