My Livspace Review: Interior Design After 6 Months of Moving In
It’s been six months since we moved into our home designed by Livspace, and the experience has been nothing short of delightful. From day one to now, the design has truly stood the test of everyday life. Here’s my take on how it’s all held up.
But before I start, I want to answer some common questions about Livspace.
What is Livspace and how does it work?
Livspace is an end-to-end home interior design and renovation platform which connects homeowners with in-house designers and ge personalized interior designs. Livspace manages everything- from 3D renders to sourcing the materials and executing the project. They provide modular furniture as well, which makes the entire Livspace journey a hassle-free solution for home interiors.
How much does Livspace charge?
The interior design costs by Livspace depend on the size of your home, the scope of work, materials needed, modular units, the level of customization, and labour charges. Livspace offers customized quotes, so you can always match your interior design to your budget. It's best to visit the Livspace experience centres and schedule a call with the design experts to get a detailed Livspace quotation.
What is the 10-year warranty on Livspace?
This is one of the most asked questions about Livspace; and frankly I also have questions about the Livspace 10-year warranty policy. Livspace offers a flat 10-year warranty on all its modular solutions, like kitchens, wardrobes, and storage units that covers manufacturing defects in materials, workmanship, and installation. My designer also informed me that Livspace provides a 1-year warranty for services like painting, electrical work, and plumbing.
The warranty period starts from the date of possession and is applicable only if the handover document is signed. The warranty does not cover misuse, improper maintenance, or natural wear and tear. Any modules that are replaced during the warranty period get covered only for the remainder of the original warranty period.
What much does a modular kitchen by Livspace cost?
The modular kitchen design cost by Livspace typically depends upon the size of the kitchen, the design, and the associated labour cost. Livspace provides a price calculator on their website which will help you get a customized quote. All modular kitchens come with a 10-year warranty, ensuring durability and peace of mind.
What materials does Livspace use?
Livspace uses a wide range of materials depending upon the furniture. For cabinet structures, they commonly use MDF, HDHMR, and Particle Board. For cabinet shutters, Livspace offers finishes like laminate, membrane, acrylic, and aluminium glass shutters. For countertops, materials like granite, quartz, and engineered surfaces like Corian and Caesarstone are commonly used. Backsplashes are typically finished with ceramic, mosaic, or glass tiles, while flooring options include ceramic tiles, marble, and granite.
Livspace has patented technologies like AntiBubble, AquaBloc, and DuraBuild to upkeep the longevity and visual appeal of every Livspace home.
My Livspace review
The entire interior design process was a whirlwind of emotions- exhilarating, overwhelming, and at times, intimidating. But thanks to the interior designers at Livspace, the journey from design to moving in was made seamless.
Now that I've actually lived in this space for half a year, I feel like it's the perfect time to share my honest experience with the brand- what I loved, what surprised me, and what I wish I knew before starting.

How did our Livspace journey start?
Our journey of finding Livspace, negotiating and shortlisting them was not done in a day. It was a very long process. We (my husband and I) started discussing and researching on the design ideas, materials, layout, finishes etc. from the moment we booked the apartment. sketched out on napkins, saved on Pinterest boards, and spoken endlessly about with friends and family.
Since Livspace is a well-known brand, we also visited their website and read multiple Livspace reviews. However, initially, we visited the website and read about the home tour just to get an idea about the materials, finishes and layouts. We thought that once we get to know everything about the backend process, we can hire a carpenter and get the job done easily, also at a fraction of the price.
But my god, weren't we delusional!
So, how did we shift from carpenters to Livspace interior design?

It happened the day we called a bunch of carpenters and thought to get the process started. But it was such a strenuous experience. The carpenters were totally dependent on our ideas and did not bring much to the table. I understand this because carpenters are not design experts; they might build a sturdy design, but everything had to be done by us. We also had to procure the materials by ourselves, which was quite a hassle. Questions like Would it turn out the way I had pictured it? Would it be worth the investment was constantly looking in my mind.
This was when we decided to go with an interior designer firm; and since we already had taken so many design inspirations from Livspace customer reviews, we decided to go ahead with livspace only.
We went to the experience centre in Whitefield, met with the designer, started the negotiation process and booked them soon after. The entire process with Livspace took around 65 days.
Now that we are happily settled in the house, we have so many feelings. Our friends and family keep on praising us for the home design.
Here's my honest candid review of the entire Livspace process, after 6 months of living and breathing our dream.
Customized and collaborative and design process
Right from the start, the Livspace design team was friendly, open to ideas, and very patient with all my inspiration dumped on my moodboard. They also made a great effort to understand my lifestyle, my needs and requirements- how I cook, how often do I have guests over, how much storage I need- and incorporated everything that into the design layout.
We loved that there were multiple design discussions, both online and at the experience center. The designs were fully customized taking our budget and preferences into account. The 3D visualizations helped me picture the final look. Although the design finalization phase took longer than expected because of back-and-forth approvals, we are okay because it got us the designs that we exactly wanted.
Fairly smooth execution and installation process
This is the part I was most anxious and worried about. But surprisingly, the execution by the Livspace team was mostly smooth. The project manager stayed in touch and the installation team was skilled. They left a clean house after the entire process was done. and respectful of the property.
High quality materials and finishes
Six months in, I can confidently say that the promises made during the signing of the contact are holding high. The modular kitchen looks as good as new, and the finishes are shiny. The countertop is stain free and so easy to maintain. The laminates of the wardrobes, soft-close drawers, and the bathroom fittings are as good as new, and also very easy to maintain. The overall look and feel of the home interior feels premium, especially considering the price.
I also loved how the Livspace designer took smaller things into consideration, like they created storage above the washing machine, which made it easier to store cleaning essentials in one place. Also, for the guest room, they put a pull out mirror, which ensured that the space got utilized properly.

Great post-sale support
This is where many services drop the ball. But Livspace has been responsive to all our calls and messages. I did raise a couple of service requests after moving in, and while they were resolved, it did require some follow-up from my end.
Value for money
Livspace may not be the cheapest option out there, but for someone like me who didn’t have the time (or courage) to coordinate with multiple vendors, it offered a one-stop solution. Everything was taken care of, and that peace of mind is hard to price. With transparent pricing and all-inclusive packages, Livspace’s end-to-end service gave us a hassle-free experience from design to delivery.
What could have been better?
There were a few delays caused because of the supply; one kitchen module arrived later than what we expected. After installation, there were some minor snags with alignment, however, they were resolved quickly. Also, a few custom elements felt slightly expensive compared to local alternatives. Although the overall experience was great, I would give feedback to Livspace that a faster resolution time and more proactive check-ins after handover would make the experience even better.
Final Livspace review- Is it worth it?
Would I recommend it? Yes, especially if you're looking for convenience, a professional team, and a design you can actually live in. Quality of materials matched what was promised. After living in my home for six months, I’m genuinely happy with my decision to go with Livspace. It wasn’t perfect, but it was way less stressful than trying to manage it all myself. The design fits my lifestyle, the space feels like me, and every time someone visits, I get to say, “Yes, I did it with Livspace.”

Pros and Cons of Modular Kitchens by Livspace Interior Design

Source- Livspace website
Modular kitchens have gained popularity in urban homes in recent years. They are becoming increasingly popular among homeowners today, with Livspace emerging as a leading interior designer.
In new-age kitchens, the cabinets are manufactured in factories and can be adjusted to meet the homeowner's specific needs, with an option to create straight, L-shaped, or U-shaped layouts. Modules or semi-modules are installed in these systems. The design, selection of materials, and the final finish of a conventional kitchen depend mostly on the skill of the carpenter (although you can purchase some modular accessories and attach them to the cabinets).
A modular kitchen can easily have a lot of space even in the smallest of kitchen areas if it is well planned and executed. A beautiful and fully functional kitchen can be created using prefabricated cabinets and accessories. However, despite having many advantages, modular kitchen designs can also pose some challenges.

Here's a list of pros and cons that will help you understand if a modular kitchen is the best option for you.
Advantages of Modular Kitchen
Indian homes demand smart and stylish kitchens that suit their lifestyle. Livspace modular kitchens are designed to cater to these needs. Storage of the most commonly used items in comfortable locations ensures these will be used more often.
There are generally two parts to the kitchen: the cleaning area and the cooking area. We will examine the benefits of the division after finding out its remarkable feature: unlike other parts of the organization, it will be difficult to distinguish, but it will be practical and functional.
> Ease of installation: Kitchen modules are ready to install and can be transported and assembled on-site in a prefabricated form. During the fabrication of a conventional kitchen, one is required to do tedious carpentry work, leading to loud noises and dust. However, the best thing about a modular kitchen, as mentioned in many Livspace reviews, is that the entire kitchen can be dismantled and reassembled at a different location.
> Ease of cleaning: A neatly organized area is always easy to maintain and looks good. Livspace kitchen cabinets and countertops can be easily cleaned with non-toxic liquid detergent. Likewise, it is easy to maintain the functionality of the hinges and channels by regularly cleaning them to prevent dirt and grime from accumulating.
> Modular kitchens last a long time: The cabinets in most modern kitchens are made of wood, a material that is highly susceptible to termites and other borers. Livspace modular units water, moisture, and termite proof. are hassle-free. They are made of high-quality plywood that is thermally resistant. They are further treated to make it better able to handle moisture. In comparison to some cabinets manufactured with cheap MDF or particleboard, Livspace takes extra steps to ensure that the modular kitchen is durable and easy to maintain. In addition to lining cabinet doors with aluminum , they also take other measures to extend the life of the kitchen, such as installing drainboards over sink cabinets to prevent rust. It has additional protection for increased durability.
> Space Savers: Professional kitchen designers plan these kitchens so that they provide more storage and a smoother workflow based on efficient and proper planning. Cabinets that come with modular kitchens will come with special shelves that can accommodate bottles, plates, cutlery compartments, garbage holders, and wire trays. Also, some cabinets are equipped with special systems, such as carousels and Susan connectors, which make corner cabinets more accessible. When you have a modular kitchen, you can utilize their shelves to save space. Kitchen shelves can be found in tiny corners or on doors, and some are designed to be hung from corners or tiny spaces. Modular kitchen appliances can easily be mounted to the wall or shelves with this type. Livspace modular kitchens offer such features that are perfect for small apartments.

Disadvantages of Modular Kitchen
They can be expensive. Modular kitchens have a higher price tag than a normal kitchen made by local carpenters. Nevertheless, be aware that along with the extra bill comes quality, which means long lasting and overall lower maintenance costs.
Conclusion
A modular kitchen is likely to cost more than a local one, so budgeting for them is of the utmost importance. Livspace reviews by clients state that modular kitchens are more suitable for those who are moving into a new apartment quickly and do not have time to wait for months. IF you are keen on getting a modular kitchen, remember to keep the kitchen's style consistent with the rest of the house! For the best advice on which kitchen design is best for your home, you should consult a Livspace interior designer.
