DVELAS retractable louvered awnings made from recovered maxi yatch sails can be adapted to different types of existing structures such as this magnificent space that is part of the TEMPUS building in the Torre Bellver Urbanization of #Oropesa, Spain. The carbon and aramid sail fabric used, integrates in a natural way with the architectural environment of the CIMED Mediterranean Interpretation Center project, which aims to recreate the Mediterranean habitat to publicize the natural environment in which it is located.

Exploring the perfect integration between design and functionality, the CREW folding chair by DVELAS is presented as a prominent element in the environment of the Coffee and Beach Chiringuito, located on Rizhao Beach, Shandong, China. This space, conceived by Selgascano architects, illustrates a masterful fusion between contemporary architecture and the natural landscape. The choice of materials and design not only responds to aesthetic criteria, but also considers practical and sustainable aspects, optimizing the user experience in a coastal environment.

We are happy with the completion and publication of the SEAWARD HOUSE project developed by the Japanese lifestyle media OCEANS and Dolive in which they have included a GÉNOIS Unique Edition pouf and a KNOT SunRay lamp by DVELAS. The concept is a "home where you can live comfortably" with a relaxed atmosphere and high quality. The design is reminiscent of a Californian beach house and has a very versatile finish that can be used both in the mountains and in urban residential areas. Moving through a phalanx of mid-rise housing blocks, a covered walkway and attached café serve as a colorful antidote to the regimented architecture that surrounds it in the city of Bailuwan in China. This colorful cafeteria has been equipped with our CREW chairs and RIS stools of sail and plywood structure customized in corporate colors yellow and green.
Designed by SelgasCano architectural firm, the uncontrollable explosion of angled steel tubes and corrugated metal roofs is a social magnet for the thousands of residents of the city.
In addition to Junya Ishigami, the developer commissioned Sou Fujimoto, Ryue Nishizawa, and SelgasCano to create these special elements, with each company working independently of the others to add a different flavor to the architectural stew.

We are delighted to see our TACK seats in the boutique hotel Aethos Ericeira located near Calada beach, in Ericeira, a tourist destination on the edge of a cliff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. A rehabilitation project by Pedra Silva Arquitectos in collaboration with Astet Studio, responsible for the interior design and FF&E of the hotel.

🏆 We have recently been awarded the prestigious International Sustainable Awards 2024 by @luxurylifestyleawards
A recognition that we greatly appreciate after a career of almost 15 years in which we have evolved from the design of contemporary furniture to the manufacture of shading systems made with recovered ⛵ ship sails.
🐚 In these times when concepts such as design and sustainability come together to redefine modern life, DVELAS emerges as a lighthouse of environmental inspiration of which we are very proud.

Our sails have been the pillar and the engine of great adventures. They are the living example of objects whose essence maintains a free spirit. They were allies of the breeze and salty-hearted companions for sailors who once dreamed of getting lost and finding themselves watching the horizon. Fabrics that have been conceived to make possible the dreams of those who love sailing and freedom, deserve our admiration, respect and special dedication. This is the purpose for which DVELAS was born. To give a second life to a material whose nature is to continue making history by creating spaces with soul.

Our VAURIEN floating lounger in ¡HOLA! magazine.
Letting go, one of the most complicated and pleasurable things in life, is what inspires this floating lounger, created solely and exclusively to provide pleasure. Its design, designed to protect from the sun and wind, defines the function of objects that were born to pamper.

Our B&S lounger consists of a single structure with a single sail fabric that works its way through the frame. It is inspired by the boldness of sailing, in which different courses can be achieved by modifying the position of the sails. Depending on how the structure is supported on the ground it can be a lounger or an easy chair. +info: https://bit.ly/3i2jiUh

We love these Mediterranean prints of our KNOT lamps in the Aigua Aire restaurant in Formentera (Balearic Islands, Spain). KNOT "one of a kind" is an cool portable lamp to move it from one space to another. Handcrafted from recovered boat sail, its lampshade reflects the different textures of the sail.

The pouf is a versatile piece of furniture that can be used to sit, lean, lie down or rest your feet. In addition, its lightness also allows it to be moved only when it is going to be used. Learn more about the dimensions and types of DVELAS beanbags: https://dvelas.com/products/genois-bean-bag/
