A warrior can’t be saved. You might as well change the colour of a fish with paint.
Fara-Meilyss, our red handed seer, burn our enemies.
Also a side character

WSP-1A Wasp
I took a bit of a hobby break, organized my MTG cards, played some games, but painting is back on the schedule

I love cheap shitty Battlemechs, the kind you're canonically supposed to be tripping over constantly. I do wish CGL would acknowledge availability, maybe give us some common cheap Lances of plastic bug mechs, P hawks, the 5/8 mediums, other staples

Any favorite Wasp variants for those who've piloted them? I like the annoying Liao one with the SRM, crit seeking and jump kicks

Sir Galeas the Chaste, vanquisher of the seductresses of Castle Anthrax.
Another foot knight. This one is the torso of the mounted 5e grail knight hero spliced on to the torso of the 5e knight of the realm hero on foot. The face turned out a bit dodgy, so like the great portrait painters of medieval Europe i've posed him in profile so you can't see it.

I’ve been working away on a fairly large Imperial Fleet for Battlefleet Gothic, the main part of which is formed of various ships from Scourge Scenics.
I picked up three Sword Nord Class Escorts, two Barracuda Class Light Cruisers, four Dauntless Claas Light Cruisers (2x with lances and 2x with torpedoes), a Banisher Class Grand Cruiser, and an Imperial Space Station.
The sculpts are great and the resin prints are so clean and sharp. I’ll definitely be ordering more ships from Scourge Scenics!
I’ve also dug out some of my old original BFG ships from cold storage and have started work on restoring them to add to my fleet.
The fleet itself is going to represent Battlefleet Agripinaa, and I’ve chosen a bone/ivory colour for the hulls with a deep crimson for the prows and details.
The background for the fleet is set in the final stages of the Gothic War, where the Agripinaa Sector was under heavy and sustained attack by the forces of Abaddon the Despoiler. As one of the Battlefleets which bore the brunt of the Despoiler’s attacks, Battlefleet Agripinaa had to call upon all available ships to defend Imperial space from the Chaos incursion. This included standard ships of the line, reserve squadrons, ships which were in the process of being decommissioned, and even the commandeering of a number of ships normally under the control of Rogue Traders.
As such, Battlefleet Agripinaa gathered together a highly eclectic mix of ship classes, designs, and ages to stave off the Chaos invasion.
I figured this would be a cool little narrative to represent the mixture of ships in my fleet, and will allow me to add some more rare and exotic ships going forward.
I’ll keep posting updates as the project progresses!
Happy Hobbying!
Dave

1st Davion Guards RCT Cyclops CP-10-HQ + Collapsible HQ Module (deployed) + HQ staff transport vehicle
by u/Jbressel1
"For relatively obvious reasons, I've never seen anyone do a mini of the Cyclops CP-10-HQ. It is relatively useless outside of scenario play, as it drops the AC20, the one redeeming piece of equipment on the CP-10-Z, for what amounts to an objective. I'm slightly insane, and doing the ENTIRE First Davion Guards RCT, including support assets, so I made one for my regimental command company. Originally, I used the metal body from the IWM MHQ for the command module, but it was huge and heavy, so I redid both the "backpack" and the mini diorama using the body of thd CGL MHQ. I'm keeping the old, larger, mini diorama as an objective piece, but using the new one with the Cyclops. The fluff mentions that the HQ command staff ride in a separate vehicle, and I used a GHQ M577 command vehicle for that. They sell it both with the tent open and stowed. I used the stowed for the vehicle, as a mobile piece, and open integrated with the collapsible command module as the headquarters. The little guys are from Vanguard Miniatures."
Personally, I adore this. All the little details are very well done.

Final part of the Marienburg Look-dev, part of a larger body of work for a GW mock task. The aim for this project was to diversify the look of Marienburg units from their Empire counterparts without making them look entirely dissimilar.
To this end, I tried to infuse fashion and styling inspired by the Dutch Golden Age, among other sources. This period is a little bit too advanced (by about 50-100 years) for The Old World's setting, so I tried to retrofit these elements stylistically to make them sit better in-universe. The idea is that a regiment from Marienburg wouldn't necessarily be any more technologically advanced than the Empire, but they would appear well funded and equipped.
This final part focuses on my interpretations of the Cloveniers (or hat-knights if you prefer) and the River Watch.

For this area in particular, the main idea was to chonkify or otherwise add a grimdark veneer to interesting IRL weaponry from Burgundy, Flanders, Belgium and Holland, with some German and Italian influences in some pieces.

32nd Vraksian - Chaos Renegade Militia
Hey guys,
I dug up an old unfinished project of mine last week, I’m a bit ashamed that I never finished these awesome miniatures.. So I guess it’s about time I started cracking on them again! I started this army back in 2007/2008, somehow I wasn’t motivated enough to finish this army. Luckily GW The Hague has a 40K double tournament coming up in October, the perfect opportunity for me to finish 700pts worth of Chaos Renegade Militia. I still need to make a 10 man Veteran squad for 700pts, this is the list I’ll be using;
HQ
Company Command Platoon (95pts) - Company Commander w/ CCW, Plasma pistol. - Veteran w/ Regimental Standard - Veteran w/ Vox-caster - Veteran w/ Plasmagun
TROOPS
Infantry Platoon - Platoon Command Squad: Commander w/ Powerweapon, Vox-caster, Missile Launcher team, Commissar w/ Powerweapon (105pts) - Infantry Squad: Plasmagun, Missile Launcher team, Vox-caster (85pts) - Infantry Squad: Plasmagun, Heavy Bolter team, Vox-caster (80pts) - Infantry Squad: Grenade Launcher, Heavy Bolter team, Vox-caster (70pts)
Veteran Squad (135pts) - Shotguns, 3x Meltaguns, Vox-caster, Demolitions doctrine
FAST ATTACK
Hellhound (130pts)
Total: 700pts
I’m using Codex: Imperial Guard as the Forge World rules aren’t allowed. My partner will most likely be playing Death Guard, I don’t have a list of his army yet.
I’ll keep you guys updated as much as I can.
Cheers!

Completely by accident the stairs on this ruin are spaced and angled in such a way that a 20mm square base balances on them perfectly. If youre on a bigger base or a round base go fuck yourself though

I’ve been working on this for a while- months kinda, it sat on my to-do pile for months collecting dust. I’m open to suggestions on how to improve, but for now I’m feeling pretty cool about it. I wanted to make something that the other player could maybe project their own story onto- look at it and tell me what is this place, and how did it get this way. Something that invokes mystery and dark fantasy vibes.
The water is Vallejo Still Water with a few citadel shades mixed into it. The helmet, axe and shield are spare GW bits. The stone bricks, cobblestones, ruined pillars, skulls and skeleton are Goonmaster sculpts printed by Mungo’s Marvelous Minis on Etsy. The “shrine” is a Highland Minis unit filler printed by Imperial Miniatures. The duck grass and vines are from Make Market. Army Painter static grass and Brown Battleground sand.
