i wish i had some intelligent new speculation in preparation for tonight's update, but alas, i do not. so instead, i will share a thought that's been bouncing around in my head for a while: i say this as someone who is not at all familiar with the wally x y/n scene and not particularly interested in becoming familiar with it, but given the sheer amount of AUs that center around that concept, it boggles my mind that nobody's thought to make a slay the princess AU yet.

listen. listen to me. the general Vibe of welcome home so far is that humans are the higher power here for better or worse but wally is closer to that power than his peers, right. and slay the princess is a love story between two beings of incredible cosmic power. and one of the big storytelling gimmicks of slay the princess is that your actions in the first loop determine the princess' appearance, demeanor, and feelings towards you in the second loop, right. and wally just so happens to have a shitton of aus in which he differs wildly in terms of appearance, demeanor, and feelings towards you.

arguably you can even take this further, like, fuckin. welcome home has a spooky house. slay the princess has a spooky cabin/surrounding area. the other neighbors could be like, uh, fuckin. i dunno, the other voices. barnaby seems like he'd fill the shoes of the contrarian pretty well. do you see what i'm saying. this thing practically writes itself.

Last month, I posted a sketch of Frank crying. The original inspiration was Orville Peck's C'mon Baby, Cry! When I sketched these two again, their bodies began to turn. Eddie held Frank's hand and pulled him closer. I did my best to follow his lead in my sketches.

I've been wanting to describe the process like that from the start. haha

Anyway, Frank isn't the one crying anymore. Now I'm the one crying! It's too bad all these wonderful things can only happen in my dreams.

Well, I do have one secret: Wally was sitting in the chair reading a book in my sketch. He didn't make it past the sketch phase. I tried very hard to add a background to this piece. He was my guide for the eye level. Eye level was literally at Wally's eyes. He was a great help to me!
