For Dylan it was a good book, a physical hard copy, that helped keep him grounded. Sure, he had a few different e-readers available to him, but when spending so much time on a computer or his phone, he tried to keep the time using those as incredibly limited as well. Typically that was saved for traveling for his projects and not wanting to lug around several heavy books. Though that meant when he ended up in bookstores this kind of thing happened. Reaching down he picked up the book that the man in front of him had dropped, watching it skid across the floor closer to him. "Here you go." Handing back the book that Dylan had been the cause of him dropping.
A laugh left him, "No, not an aggressive ploy, though you might give them ideas. Not sure how apt I'd be to choose a book if they were slamming into me though. Guess maybe it depends on the plot of the book." Giving a shrug he reached for the books he had dropped settling them back into his hands, "Oh, it takes a lot more than a few dropped books to bruise my pride. Now had I been knocked onto my ass, that could be a different story. We'll consider my pride saved for now."
Jin loved a good book as much as the next person, though he usually leaned more toward graphic novels than dense crime thrillers. He liked the idea of reading them more than the execution, purely because he didn’t have it in him to sit still long enough. He usually ended up just watching the movie or TV show instead. Still, one particular paperback had caught his eye as he passed. He was just reaching for it when someone bumped into him, not hard, but enough to knock the book from his hand and send it sliding across the floor. The other two books he was holding under his arm had miraculously stayed put.
He blinked, then looked down at the scattered books, then finally back up at the man who’d collided with him, surprise and mild amusement on his face. “Don’t worry about it,” he said, once he’d gathered himself. “These things happen... Unless this is just a really aggressive ploy to recommend books.” He joked. He crouched down to pick up the paperback and a few of the other man’s books while he was at it, and handed them back to him. “No harm done,” he added with a playful smile. “Unless your pride is particularly fragile.”

One thing Dylan enjoyed was a good book, often times, with his job continually keeping him on the computer for extended periods of time he needed to shut his brain off. Being the lead on the current cyber-security project, meant that lately he was pulling longer than twelve hour shifts. Delegation wasn't something that was Dylan's strong point, his manager pushing him to learn those techniques or he'd be loosing even more time. After making sure projects were given out and tasked properly, and with a click of a button his dual monitors and laptop faded to black. The rest of the day and the following two were all his to enjoy — or attempt to enjoy. Earlier that day he had placed a small order of books on hold but decided to go pick them up and do a little browsing before actually purchasing the books he already had there waiting for him.
Just as he was exiting one aisle, a few other books in his hand he went around too fast and bumped firmly into someone, sending his books spilling to the floor. "Shit — my bad." Turning to look at the person he had just knocked into and see if he had sent anything tumbling to the floor for them.
