Quick update for everyone, after receiving an ask about making characters of the same role, we’ve talked it over and updated our rules. The rules regarding muses now reads:
At the moment, muses are restricted to one idol and one staff member per mun upon first joining. A third muse may be picked up after 2 weeks of proven, consistent activity on the others. The only stipulation is that this muse not be in the same group as any idol muses. If you join with one muse at a time, you are free to make up to 2 idols maximum, with 2 weeks between each muse created (for example, 1 staff member - 2 weeks - 1 idol - 2 weeks - 2nd idol, or 3 staff in a row, or 2 idols and then 1 staff, etc).
So, to be clear, you may join with two muses only if it is one idol and one staff member. Otherwise, you’re free to join with up to three muses, with a break of 2 weeks of activity on each prior to making the next, and should have a maximum of two idols within that number. We also want to remind you guys if there’s a staff role you’re interested in that you don’t see listed, you can reach out to us to have it approved!

Note
would you rather see icarus' manager, view ent's soloist or the main vocal of puzzle?
*view ent's stylist for last ask sorry ;;
Honestly, we’d love to see any of these positions! Since we allow one idol and one staff to be made initially, our suggestion would be the soloist stylist and Puzzle’s main vocal since they have their Apple release coming up!

SEARCHING FOR MIN RAEL . . .
PUBLIC PROFILE

IMAGE
Rael pursues a detail oriented and opulent style, with intense focus on the most minute details. Rather than strictly focusing on hair, makeup, and clothing, Rael looks at the whole picture of a scene in addition to the client briefs. Since beginning to work with Soloist A, she’s had the opportunity to expand her horizons further to contribute to the overall creative direction of shoots for in-company media, such as teasers and so on. She got her start working for a major salon and styling company based in Cheongdam, catering to many of the top entertainment companies. As a result, she became known for delivering quality adaptations of client briefs in record time, with impressive flair and attention to the little things that really make a look shine. Expanding thereafter, she moved into working for a single company, alongside the boys of Interstellar and, when his solo launched, soloist A. As a result, much of her professional life has been tailored to developing skill sets that augment the soloists work, creating a cohesion and team work that she worried she would lose when he moved companies. Working on a dedicated team provided her the chance to get more involved in parts of the process that would have been delegated out in a larger team, and started growing her interest in the management and marketing of a kpop act, beyond the base level styling but in a big picture sense. Initially afraid her position would be in jeopardy, she was surprised to find herself offered a position at View alongside the star. However, this position was now as a manager, something she found an abrupt transition in her duties. She’s been given the opportunity to work closely with him and his team, taking on more responsibility than the usual manager might, particularly given the rather picky and demanding nature of the soloist. Like her client, she’s hopeful that View will afford her more creative freedom and a path towards, someday, a promotion into the creative management and concept planning department. In the hopes of this, she’s currently taking online classes for a degree in marketing and design.
BACKGROUND
min rael realizes the power of a smile from an early age. grandmothers coo over her and pat her head and give her sweets, and rael learns how very easy it is to wind someone around your finger.
she likes it.
modest power is hers from an early age, purely due to the unfair advantage her features give her, pleasingly arranged in a harmonious array over her features. she isn’t striking, eye catching, captivating. it’s not the kind of beauty that transfixes with interest. it’s subtler than that, and rael grows subtle too.
its her mother who first introduces her to the concept of makeup.
her mother is a ferocious business woman, a marketing executive that knows how to put the best face forward to the world, a woman who knows that society is unfair and has determined she will bend it to her advantage, lest she be crushed under the wheel of it. she works ten times harder than her father, who comes home smiling sheepishly after failed ventures, and her mother picks it all up and puts them all back together, bails him out time and again.
rael watches her mother before conferences, before presentations, before meetings, and she learns.
sitting on the floor in her mother’s bedroom she learns that black is for a base. suitable and serious, it sets the tone - a blank canvas that is more practical and appropriate than the stark white of childish paper. garish crayons are substituted for pops of color in a blouse or a scarf or a bag.
she wonders, in her fluffed up dresses and loud printed leggings, why grown up clothes are so much less whimsical, so much less fun. less beautiful, if she’s being perfectly frank. btu she doesn’t ask. rael never asks questions - she prefers to observe and learn, lest anyone suspect her of not knowing something. even as a child, the idea of ignorance hasn’t sat well with her.
she learns red is for war. her mother slicks it on her lips and over her fingers, like blood, like the setting sun, when she needs the strength. when she wants power. a brick red matte is the first lipstick that rael steals secretly from her mother’s dressing table, tucks into her pockets. it’s the first lipstick she struggles, with clumsy fingers, to layer over her lips. (it’s the first one she’s scolded for, but afterwards, her mother sits her on the bathroom sink and puts it on her properly, since rael is so desperately curious).
she learns more, too. sparkles are for the night, for the glittering dresses she covets so. she learns pinks are for youth, the blush of a rose or the touch of the sun. coral reads playful to her mother’s palette, a sunday afternoon in the park or the smell of peach blossoms in spring. like this, rael learns in pigments and paints.
by the time she is a young woman, the dangerous in-between of teenager and not, rael learns what her mother has already known - that this, all this, is armor.
and it turns out, rael wears armor well.
she’s seventeen when she takes the internship, an after school and weekends deal that takes up an absurd amount of her free time, and her already suffering studies slide further. by the time she breaks the news to her parents, they’re not that surprised. by the time she tells them she won’t be taking the entrance exams, her mother sighs - exasperated but resigned - and asks if she won’t even consider at least art school.
min rael, however, will not be swayed.
so that’s how that goes. one foot in front of the other. it takes a long time, learning a trade like this, and it’s a lot of networking and who you know and rael, a nobody with a tendency to be reserved, knows no one. in time she fares better. in time the world opens to her bit by bit, more and more. until a semi-major entertainment company takes her on. she rises quickly enough in the ranks, mostly because she’s one of few willing to work the grueling hours for the limited pay, willing to claw her way up the ladder at any cost.
finally she’s prompted, to the head stylist of the budding soloist’s creative team. she’s even got input to the concept, on a limited basis. her first day on the job, she slicks on a brick red, thinks of her mother, and goes to war.
in the end, most people don’t take her seriously. she’s young for her position and the artist is a notorious handful, and brand new to boot. there’s a certain cache that comes with working someone successful, or having been in the industry awhile, adn rael has neither on her side. so when, just a few years into this new gig, he decides to walk from the company, rael is horrified. what are the odds she’s anything after this, besides reshuffled and looking for a new job?
when he bargains to bring her with him, she’s nothing short of dumbfounded. relieved, alarmed, ecstatic- she’s not sure which emotion overrides the others. but each new dawn comes and with it, min rael rises, marching ever forward. she’s never been one to compromise on her vision, to let go of her dreams, and this case will be no exception.

SCHEDULE UPDATE: OCTOBER 2
Below the cut you’ll find an update on various artist schedules. This can be considered to be taking place, in character, after the View in the Soop filming! Rather than being strictly outlined activities, we’ll give an idea of what each group is focusing on in the moment and what kind of pitches or requests would be most likely to get off the ground right now, reflecting how we hope to make this a collaborative process with member input on schedules and activities.
In accordance with this post, you’re now able to submit pitches for things related to upcoming comebacks, preparation stages, and more. Information will be more detailed below! We’ll update accepted pitches on this post as they are confirmed.
ICARUS
Having already had a busy 2020 up to this point, Icarus will be focusing on the continued promotional run of Dynamite, as well as an upcoming showcase concert, to be held at the end of October. Members can pitch suggestions for specific stages they might like to perform at this concert. Staff may suggest ideas for content such as vcrs, specific stage styling inspiration, and so on. Set list suggestions are also accepted from those involved in the concert. Now would be a good time to begin thinking of upcoming credits on the next album, as November will likely see them beginning the song selection process, so members with interest in producing should start thinking about that! It’s also a good time for solo photoshoots, variety, or endorsement requests, since they aren’t actively promoting or touring.
SOLOIST A
As a new recruit to the company, it’s time to begin planning for his first comeback under their leadership. This means we’ll need a pitch from the soloist and any associated team members suggesting concepts, songs, styling interests, and so on. It would also be valuable to consider some kind of outreach program regarding fans - anything that might provide a little promotional interest, such as a variety guesting, v live show, or so on. Soloist A would have been working on this comeback for a few months now, and could feasibly “redebut” in late October. View Ent will be earnestly media-playing his actions at View in the Soop to bring more attention to his new company and status, making sure he becomes associated with them in the public eye, so if you have plans for an endorsement or so on this would be a good moment.
PUZZLE
Puzzle is rapidly approaching a comeback with “Apple.” They’re in the stages of finalizing their choreography and filming the video, which will be released in mid-October. This is a moment that is pivotal for the maturing direction of the group, playing into an “upgraded” version of their powerful innocence concept. The media push around the comeback will be significant, so any interest in individual variety guesting, individual cfs, photshoots, etc. would be well timed for release upcoming. You’re also welcome to retroactively claim lyric credits for songs on this album, particularly b-sides or partial credits. The girls will embark on the usual variety tour (radio shows, Weekly Idol, guesting on other varieties in a group or units) so if you have a specific reqeust (viral moment, specific show, etc) now would be the time to request that so it can get onto the news blog.
EVENTIDE
Having already had a comeback in late spring / early summer, the boys can be focusing on individual promotion. Now would be a great time to propose acting gigs or more longterm variety spot requests (such as multiple episode work or fixed cast opportunities). Individual (or unit) v-live shows would also be welcome pitches, given the relatively looser schedule. Muses interested in participating in a subunit are welcome to submit pitches for an idea- we’re especially interested in performance focused subunit work for the group. This would be a promoted opportunity and a good stepping stone for an idol who might want to go solo later down the line. RIght now, with a lull in group promotions, Eventide is in a great place to build individual career aspects, especially for those interested in time consuming stuff like acting.
VIOLET
Being newer to the roster and coming off the modestly successful release of Hocus Pocus prior to their run on Queendom, View is interested in pushing out a song for the “spooky season.” AS a result, they’ll be gearing up for a release at the end of October or early November, likely following closely after Puzzle. The song in question will be Psycho and it is projected to be a big turning point for the group, riding the high of Queendom attention and the budget provided with their move to View. With their schedule being quite packed with preparations and promotions, pitches should focus on things that contribute to that. Ergo, those interested in contributing lyrically to songs should submit those requests now, as well as production credits. Staff are welcome to suggest specific stages, special performances, and so on, and anyone related to the group is welcome to suggest concepts for a comeback variety show, as View Ent will be interested in improving their variety image in the wake of Queendom, capitalizing on new fans from the program. Individual promotion should be on the backburner for the moment, except in the case of small photoshoots and the like, which can be routinely done through OurView without specific request to the main.

would you ever consider allowing members to play two of the same "role" so to speak? as in playing two idols, or two staff members, as opposed to one idol and one staff member? sorry if this question is a pain in the neck. thanks <3
No question is a pain! After thinking it over, we’re open to the idea, provided muses are equally active and aren’t in the same group (i.e. not having two in Puzzle, etc). Of course we’d still like to encourage having some more staff muses around, too!

Note
Im interested in making a muse for eventide, but the fc i want happens to be in the group it is inspired by. Is that okay for me to do?
Yes, that’s absolutely fine! As long as they meet the requirements laid out in the rules (age, no race bending etc.) we’ll happily welcome the fc!

Note
do you have any plans for upcoming comebacks?
You betcha! This is always subject to change based on what gets released and so on but tentatively:
Violet will get Psycho for the next comeback, and probably a Monster subunit after, or else we might do a Violet + Puzzle ‘Wow Thing” subunit. Or both, and maybe even throw in a trainee to the Wow Thing. Like a girl Super-M! After Psycho, depending on what releases come out, we’ve thought about using CLC’s Helicopter, Loona’s So What, or maybe the new Loona song depending on how it turns out. In summer, we might give them Nonstop/Dolphin from OMG since it’s got a very summer bop flavor that suits their Red Velvet discography references and could play into the ping ponging concepts, whereas it doesn’t suit Puzzle like we might have hoped an OMG release would.
Eventide is projected to release Inception next, but we also have our eye on upcoming NCT 2020 releases since it looks like that will be pretty neat. Stray Kids’ God’s Menu is also an upcoming possibility, along with Side Effects because the song is a b o p. We’d like to play with some NCT duets/units (like Baby Don’t Stop) for unit releases too, maybe coinciding with the family concert planned. We’re also considering drawing from Vixx or GOT7 and are welcome to suggestions with them, since there are a broad range of polished performance heavy male presenting idols to choose from.
Puzzle will get Apple next, for some of that change up vibe. After that, there’s a good chance we dip into Apink for Eung Eung or I’m So Sick, since that will likely fall sometime in the winter kind of months, and then give them room to use a brighter track for the next spring/summer, or even Lovelyz Obliviate. With lots of their “style” of group (Apink, OMG, Lovelyz) releasing solos recently, we may look into that as an option too sometime next summer, depending on the interests of muns in the group.
For Icarus, in terms of an upcoming comeback, they’ve canonically come back the most recently so they might have more of a wait. The easiest option is of course to go along with whatever the new BTS single is. However, we’ve been playing around with the idea of a vocal unit (maybe along the lines of JJ Project or EXO CBX) to promote while rappers get a chance to do “nonpromoted” mixtape solos similar to real life. Similar to Wow Thing, we’d love to do a “Super M” concept with the boys, including the trainees (or debuted rookies, depending on timelines) because it’d be a great avenue for people to plot with each other.
So yeah! Those are our general thoughts right now, but of course they’re subject to change. With the start of October we’ll be posting more specific schedules for artists alongside our casting calls / etc. to provide opportunities as well, so keep an eye out for all that over the next week!
0 notes
Note
when will the first progression things be posted?
Stay tuned, we’ll be releasing the first prompts/casting calls/etc. over the rest of the week, including some special filming slots for Chuseok specials!
