What terrifies me most about changing
Is that one day I find I've lost myself.
Like when I turn around and realise
I lost my phone, glasses, keys, gum,
Anything I just had a minute ago but now
It's just gone. I scramble to try to remember
Because I know if I don't figure out
Where I was when it was last in hand
I won't find it.
I'll just happen to pass it if I'm lucky.
That's what I'm afraid of. I'll change so much
I won't be me again ever
Unless I'm really lucky,
But maybe it will be the one time
My luck runs out....

Death by a thousand paper cuts
Pain only when you tried to move
So you didn't
Smothering you spirit thick and sweet
Like brown banana mashed for bread
Like an old heavy blanket
Familiar and warm
Air sowarm and still
Made you long to catch a breeze
Every soft still breath
Made you feel like stopping
Your hope bleed out
You were sick of still air
Sick with stifling sweet
Sick of not moving for pain
Sick
So sick
So tired
Your greatest wish was to pause the world
And sleep
And not have to get up
To be anything

I think my favorite weather phenomenon is when it snows big fluffly flakes at night. They fall so gently and look so soft, and dull what sound there is to stillness. It seems so quiet and gentle I am always possessed by the desire to go out and lay on the ground till the snow fall stops or I am covered up never to be found again.
I know of course that at best I would get cold and soaked through, and at worst I'd risk frost bite or freezing through. Still I always want to, and sometimes I will put on a big fluffy coat and go out to lay down for a time.
It just feels so gently and soft to see snow fall like that. Like the sky is tucking the Earth in for the night. I just wanna be tucked in too

I heard that for some adhd is like having an untrained dog.
For me I feel like little red ridding hood,
And the wolf.
I am a girl who needs to catch a will'o the wisp to save her village,
But it stays ever out of sight and reach;
Except the breif moments it flickers into view before darting out of sigh.
Sometime it is just within reach,
Only to be gone the moment she would wrap her fingers round it.
I am that girl after an impossible thing to grap,
And I am the wisp.
I am a fountain unceasing.
I am a well so dry it holds only dust.
...
It is maddening

The soul my be in the eyes,
But my heart is in my mouth.
Not on my shoulder.
No, I hold it clenched gently in my teeth.
I keep it warm wrapped up in my lips.
That's why, I think, mouths captivate me so

Extremely nitpicky but I hate white wedding gowns in fantasy, especially when they make absolutely no sense in the setting. No, that culture in the far north that prioritizes function over form and mostly wears heavy furs would not have the means, ability, or desire to make a sleeveless ivory silk gown with a semi-sweetheart neckline. Please be sensible about this and use your creativity instead of just slapping a Kleinfeld wedding gown into a medieval fantasy setting.

i hate how you get desensitized to the cool stuff in your WIP if you've been writing it for a long time so when you read back over it you're like "this isn't as cool as i thought :(" but it still is! you just read it too many times

Where I live we have just had several weeks of a heat wave.
When it ended if felt like a fever had broken.
Many plants and things seem to have suffered and died too.
Can't help but remeber a fever is a symptom, and a tool, a gamble, to kill intruders.
You know people are absolutely fulled with bacteria.
We need them to live. They help us break down food, and other things.
In return for their help we shelter them in out bodies and share our food.
Sickness, when caused by bacteria, is when there is an over growth.
When one who played so nicely, now wants it all even though taking it all would hurt us.
Or sickness is when a bacteria goes somewhere else from where it was most helpful.
Or it invades from outside and refuses to play nicely.
However sickness happens the body has many defences against the attack.
One of if not *the* last resort is fever.
The gamble,
That the things making you sick will be burned up before your body boils your brain from the heat.
If it is fever our Mother Earth experiences it is because she is sick.
If it is fever than we need to cool her.
Listen to her.
Work with her, and not take too much.
We must play nicely,
And then we will have all the food and protection living in her, on her, we could ever want.
