It's been a while
If you're wondering about the lack of updates:
No, I haven't given up on the comic. To the contrary, I am more invested in telling this story than ever. It really comes down to two things.
Firstly, I'm back at uni and it's gearing up to be a very busy semester. I want to do well academically first and foremost, so that means I can only draw in my spare time. It's not all bad, in fact it's a good motivator to get my study done instead of procrastinating.
Secondly, I want to improve. If it seems that the first episode meanders, that's because I wanted to see what areas I needed work on. After all, that's one of the reasons I started the comic in the first place. I think that the rushed pace I took in making those last few pages went beyond my capabilities as a beginner artist and writer, which led to, what I consider to be, sub-par results.
With that, I've taken it slow, at least for now. I want to focus on making something of good quality, and also not burn out when there's a story I want to tell. Hopefully that pays off in the long run.
Anyways, progress is still being made, the next update will be whenever. Until then, take care, y'all.

1.5 months in and I still have yet to make a title for this! I'll probably call it "Wittebros" for now I guess.
Back in April, shortly after The Owl House ended, I randomly felt a sudden dissatisfaction (Not the crew's fault!) with how little we got about the Wittebanes' backstories. The emotional depth, the characters, the unanswered questions about the people of Gravesfield, Evelyn, Philips' journey to the Boiling Isles.
I thought "why not?", and wrote down a rough timeline, some characters, and a few short scenes, just to get it out of my system. 6 weeks in, it's still not out of my system, and I've added a visual component to boot.
I was never really a good artist in school, but last year I decided to learn the basics, and now I've started this comic as an exercise in art and storytelling. What is currently driving this forward is a desire to see this story told, and hopefully seeing myself improve.
With that, I would love to hear some feedback. I still consider myself a beginner, and while I do think that I have improved over the course of 9 pages, I can also see that I have a long way to go.
My current goal is releasing roughly 3 pages a fortnight, but that may increase whenever semester holidays come around.
I hope you all enjoy this, and hopefully I'll update this soon.
