we used to live two minutes from this wonderful establishment

and it's yet another thing terfs have decided to force people to notice - back in 2010-2014 we began transitioning and just decided not to care if we had visible bulge, it was just our shape (until we got it upcycled) and literally nobody noticed or commented on it - but now a culture has been artificially cultivated of it somehow being a problem

(for sure, we have the privilege of living in a part of a country where this didn't put our life in peril but still)

right - we went on hormones back in 2011 on the nhs in england and the nhs (back when it was allowed to be socialised medicine and less politicised) would never shell out for a treatment it wasn't vastly certain was okay, so 13 years ago they were confident of its short and long term effects but somehow now they're suddenly not allowed to be sure? pff

gay fish quilt!!! made with a single 42-count Kaffe Fassett charm pack and three thrift store bedsheets. the quilt top was zig-zag stitched to the blue sheet, then sandwiched with batting and a black sheet for the backing and the simple rolled hem, which was stitched with one straight stitch and one zig-zag for very stylish corners. the fish are quilted down along the outer seams.

each fish took two patterned squares, one for the body and one for the fins and tail.

it was a fast and fun no-stress quilt that really shows off gorgeous prints to advantage, and i might try this pattern again!
