Hello! I'm getting back into fandom after many years and was hoping you could recommend the best (or most popular) drarry fics to come out in the last 5 years?? The longer the better! I'm having such a blast re-reading old favs and would love more to read! Thank you so much!

I was also away from the fandom the past three years, we share the feeling! I'll go for +100k and skip super well known examples (e.g., Grounds for Divorce)

si vis pacem by athenoot - 70k incomplete - john wick reincarnates as deku, it’s so good and also a Very Funny concept to me

the dispatcher by bovie - 18k incomplete - deku’s like a semi omnipent god and also ten years old and also works as a dispathcer for underground heroes! The dedication the author has put into the fic is insane there’s so many maps, the disaster management and just everything is so well thought out and researched it’s honestly really impressive

permanent ink by maxine - 117k complete - it’s a bkdk soulmate fic, you get words on your arm at a certain age, something that your soulmate has said to you that’s important. Bakugou knows it’s deku but doesn’t know how to tell him. It’s bkdk but it also lowkey really made me like bakukami too

vacation by literalpieceoftrash - 10k incomplete - the last update was Awhile ago but I recommend it wholeheartedly anyways. Basically planes trains and automobiles except all for one accidentally kidnaps deku when he steals inko’s rental car and so all might (posing as a civilian) and her are trying to get deku back, and everyone is collectively trying to make their way across the country to get to california for the hero convention (to top it off, it’s also dad for one) 10/10

seeping through by ashenice - 6k complete - I love fics with the one for all holders so much, anything with the quirk haunted tag I will gobble up and this one is super funny. Summary is deku starts developing traits/skills from the past users starting with a shellfish allergy

the fine line (between you and me) by azureflowers - 50k complete - bkdk sharing a body I love bodyswap shenanigans so much and this one was so fun to read ! Little angst, little goofy, deku’s body technically kicks it but,,, it’s fine

cat’s paws on calm water by floating cow - 19k complete - pro hero!deku goes back in time to stop villains from attacking his class, tries to do so wothout being found out but it doesn’t fully go as planned. One of my favourite time travel fics ! I’ve reread it at least once I like it a whole bunch

a bunny and her son by wonhaebunny - 2k complete - this one is topical because of the bunny bakugou stuff I drew, but bakugou’s a big miruko stan and doesn’t know how to act when he meets her it’s just very cute and sweet and deku’s a little shit <3

gingerbread cookies by necroesthe - 14k complete - I originally read this when I was looking for peanut allergy!deku stuff and it’s so sweet I love it a lot. It’s shindeku and summary is deku get too many cavities so his mom (and everyone in 1a) bans him from eating sweets, he finds shinsou making cookies and decides to kick it with him during lunches

i cannot explain i am WORDLESS GOD FUCK yall the meaning behind when he tian said 我什么都给你 it’s not JUST “i’ll give you anything(/everything)” like for the non natives out there i want you to know chinese is extremely contextual to the point we basically do Not have tense or verb form and “good” prose is usually dependent on conveying as much as possible in as little amount of words as possible ok now when he says 什么 by itself it means literally “What” but what is What??? What is not quantifiable yes in context of this sentence it means anything but it’s so much more than that because the word What cannot be reasonably quantified and put into a singular or plural form and that’s our context i’m half brain dead from this chapter idk how else to explain this ok he doesn’t say 你要什么我给什么 (literally means you want what i give what) or 我会/要给你全部 (literally i want to/will give you everything) no he says “my What all give you” there is no tense no intent or will he is simply saying everything he tian is/was/will be & everything he had/has/will have anything everything everywhere is mo’s for the taking ok the word “anything” or “everything” isn’t the same amount as What this is something beyond infinity idk how else to tell you guys that that phrase is so profoundly romantic the english translation literally cannot do it justice no matter how i try to rephrase it MOM I WAITED A DECADE FOR THIS SHIT TAKE ME TO THE FUCKING HOSPITAL

Ok so, I had this fic bookmarked but I seem to have lost it.

it was about HPSC!Izuku had a blood teleportation quirk, he used these special knives with his blood to teleport. He would teleport people to this active volcano to clean up his mess.

Izuku was a type of "fixer" for the HPSC and in exchange the ywould help with Inko's medical treatment.

Izuku was now tasked to infiltrated UA, so he was placed in this other school to build a paper trail, and Himiko was there too.

Also, Hawks is a freeloader at izuku's apartment and Miruko is also there.

And Izuku kind of killed Uraraka's father in one of his jobs to kill a Yakuza group. And he decided to help at the construction company.

I think the name was "A bad Hero" but I can't recall the author name.

yaknow as someone who frequents the fic finding stuff, i've been thinking... au where deku gets hit by a morality swapping quirk, and since hes at the top of good he quickly gets turned to the very bottom of bad, and either has to: hide it and not get caught since his moral compass leapt out of the window or leave. alternatively though you could have him try to fight the quirk and end up with "villain bad i'm a hero, but they deserve death." :) -plant anon

I don’t actually read a lot of villain fics, but this was something that was recommended to me by a friend as something that I should do to distract myself from the thing that I should be doing which is writing. Remember to leave kudos and comments, please! 

Featuring Villains : Aizawa, Midoriya, Shinsou, Yamada 

A Deadman’s Gun - 65K, ten chapters. This might be one that you’ve heard of before, but it’s middle schooler Midoriya who ends up getting trained and taught how to be a villain by the hero killer, Stain 

Bloom in Winter - 132K, twelve chapters. Another popular one, an incomplete but still very good story of how Midoriya was forced into villainy by his own father and how he really, really just wants out 

Flare Signal - 225K, fifty-six chapters. Another forced villain successor with Hisashi Midoriya. Midoriya is a villain, and that’s pretty much the way that it’s just going to be, until he runs into All Might 

Know What I’ve Made By the Marks On My Hands - 45K, five chapters. In this abandoned story, Midoriya isn’t quite a hero, and he isn’t quite a villain. He’s just a guy who can undo the things that Chisaki has been doing, erasing their Quirks. The heroes think that the two of them are working together, and because Midoriya does do a lot of B&E, they set a trap for him 

Last Resort, The - 180K, thirty-three chapters and ongoing. His name isn’t really Hitoshi Shinsou, it’s 27. 27 has been trained to be very proficient in fun things like murder and interrogation. After he’s rescued from this horrible life, he starts working as a spy for his boss 

Midas Touch, The - 10K, one chapter. This fits in with corndog-patrol’s Villain Hizashi Yamada AU, which is actually an amazing and you should check out her art and comics that goes with it. Basically, here, Aizawa accidentally runs into his villain bf while working undercover 

Never Shut - 3.5K, one chapter. Instead of Oboro Shirakumo dying in the aftermath of his high school internships, it is in fact his best friend who dies and reappears fifteen years later at the USJ Incident 

Push - 5K, one chapter. Shinsou isn’t a hero in this world, but just an ordinary guy… An ordinary guy with connections to several suicides. The walls are beginning to close in on him 

Old Bait and Switch, The - 90K, forty-four chapters. Though he is technically one of the hero kids, Midoriya has a darker persona underneath. Over the course of a two week UA event where the class is broken up into heroes and villains, Midoriya’s darker side bleeds through 

Once Forgotten, Twice Removed - 40K, six chapters. Pro hero Midoriya ends up in an alternative universe where his younger self is a villain. He has to help the heroes fight back against this new version of himself and a way to get home 

Silent Shadow - 10K, one chapter but it is a series. Basically, that incident with the sludge monster in episode one does end up killing Midoriya, but don’t worry, the LoV isn’t going to let his body go to waste 

Yakuza City - 57K, eight chapters and ongoing. In this world with a corrupted All Might, Midoriya is really just trying to survive. He didn’t mean to tangle with a yakuza boss, and he didn’t mean to start working undercover for him, it just kinda happened

May I ask you and your 'fic finders' for help in finding a fic where bakugo joins the league to infiltrate it? I remember bakugo mentioning something about the authorities being useless and taking down the league from the inside himself. He breaks into a house with Dabi and later gets shot with trigger that causes a quirk evolution where he could explode the sweat up to his elbows. The guys that shot him were some robbers that mixed up their quirk suppressers with trigger. One of them had quills
