When you think about it, Kabru helped in the plan to revive Falin even with all his (justified!) discomfort with eating monters. It's a big thing imo. And I don't think he'd do that *just* for Laios/because he asked. In a few instances Kabru talks about his interest not just in Laios but the siblings as a pair, so there's no way he wasn't interested to some extent in figuring out Falin as well, and it's not a reach to conclude he helped in the plan also to be able to meet *her*.

and then he does!

I think there are so many interesting interactions to be born from them, such as him going to Falin to ask her help in understading Laios even better to fulfill his role of advisor, and I do wonder if his overthinking self even finds himself awake thinking of when he tried to literally kill her. stab stab (Falin either doesn't remember or doesn't mind). And from Falin's side I can see her asking him to keep Laios company when she's travelling, because her brother is so used to having Marcille and her by his side, she definitely asks Kabru to fill in for her.

I keep thinking of a sedoretu AU for the hunger games where for Peeta and Katniss to convince Snow they're together they need a 4 people relationship, a prospect sedoretu of kinds (because maybe it's the relationship standard in the capitol or something) and then Gale and Madge get roped into it. Now instead of being cousin-zoned, Gale is assumed to be the same moiety as Katniss ahsjssjdlshjd

I wish I had the will to write this cause I wanna read it so bad. Specially because I can't stop wondering how things would be different because now Madge is a piece in the game. Like, I'd like to imagine she'd become close enough to Gale to go with him before the bombing. What would be her role (and the mayor's) in 13? How would Gale feel having someone close to keep him grounded while Katniss is in the arena?
