emily!
“ shouldn’t you be carrying me across the threshold or something ? ” she teased, easing herself into the peculiar situation. if he was attempting to make light of their situation, she would also follow in tow. emily debated on taking off her coat. the idea of it meant she would be staying awhile, but she didn’t want to. her plan was to find a replacement hotel to crash for the night ( as soon as possible ) before giving up on her little trip entirely and heading back home. she looked around the rental as he spoke, feeling herself smile politely in his direction, “ no, don’t worry about it. mistakes happen, right ? besides, you’re not too bad to look at… ” it was a bold statement, but oftentimes in awkward situations she was, in fact, bold. the bottle of wine sticking out of her bag was slightly embarrassing. that is, if she did accept a drink from him. but he was a stranger. maybe it was better to be safe than sorry. “ actually, i have this… ” she pulled the bottle from her bag and held it out towards him. “ i’m assuming there’s glasses here ? ”
not too bad to look at. a bold yet telling statement to how the night may go— all his lights are turning the brightest shade of green. “i could easily say the same with you.” he mirrors back to her with little to no hesitation, truthfully he might add. she was GORGEOUS, to say the least; on the prettier side of his list of victims by far. though, like the others, not any smarter. much to his liking. neil is genuinely surprised at her offer of wine— she skipped a whole STEP for him. saves him the bottle he had so nicely wrapped up in the pantry for his next conquest. “if i didn’t know better, emily, i would’ve thought you were trying to butter me up.” he sends her a smirk before making his way into the kitchen for some glasses. “so, it’s going to come up EVENTUALLY, so i’m better off asking it now— what brings you out here all by yourself?” neil reaches for the bottle, popping it open with a corkscrew and pouring each of them a glass. let the night begin.

emily!
“ this sucks, ” the blonde laughed in disbelief. she’s not stupid. she wasn’t raised by a worrying mother and protective father to act this way. emily knew better, but she would unknowingly regret the decision to take him up on this offer. there were a million reasons why she planned on saying yes. the street was unfamiliar and dark, the lack of lights suddenly noticeable now that he pointed it out. it was freezing, the cool breeze of the fall air brushing her bare arms and making goosebumps appear. not to mention the long day of traveling which hadn’t gone as smoothly as expected. now this ? stranded and homeless on a street in a city she didn’t know or recognize ? this was stupid. this was so stupid. she pulled her suitcase behind her, feeling uneasy about this irrational decision she was making. “ uh… alright, yeah. thank you. i’ll be out of your hair shortly. you know, just until i figure out where i’m staying for the night, ” she inhaled sharply, growing closer to the much larger and taller man. “ i’m emily, by the way, ” she offered him a small friendly smile - a “please don’t kill me in my sleep” smile. if she was going to be stuck there for awhile, she wanted a peace of mind and the only way of getting that for herself is getting to know him.
it took EVERYTHING in him to not show his delight in her acceptance of his offer. the hardest part was over, now he just has to wait for the rest to simply fall into place. neil made enough room for her to come into the house, closing the door behind them. “well, emily, i’m neil, pleasure to meet you. and welcome to... OUR humble abode, i guess.” he laughs, offering her his hand to take in hers to shake. jokes to lighten the mood always tend to help the process. “sorry again for this whole thing. i’m sure you were just looking for some alone time. i’ll try my best to be good company until we get this all squared away.” another smile is sent her way, grabbing his glass he had sitting on the coffee table. “do you need something to drink? eat, maybe? i don’t consider myself much of a chef, but i have some somewhat decent spaghetti and sauce left over if you want any. but.. i’m sure you can help yourself, since this is technically YOUR place too. playing host is kind of a force of habit, you’ll have to excuse me.”

a “ writer’s retreat ” is what she was calling it - albeit cliché and overused by many. and even though emily’s laptop was stowed away in her bag, it was less writing and more retreat than anything. her mind was set on a bottle of red wine and a bubble bath all to herself. she fumbled around with the lockbox, attempting the code more than three times before completely giving up. cursing under her breath, the blonde opened rental app and began to message the owner of the property when the front door suddenly opened. she turned back in horror, wondering if she had gotten the address wrong. was this not the house ? “ i– ” she began, her heart pounding within her chest. god, this couldn’t be happening, she thought to herself. “ i booked a home. this… one, ” she trailed off, glancing down at the photos of the same exact front door that showed in the preview pictures. “ — and they must’ve… i’m sorry, ” she quickly apologized, stepping back from the front steps. “ you got here first, so i’ll just… figure something else out. i’m really sorry to have bothered you. ”
he continues to give her a look just bordering on pity enough to keep her from feeling overly embarrassed, all while feeling bad for the poor, CONFUSED girl. he has to play the part, after all. with a shake of his head, neil chuckles and pulls out his phone to bring up his ‘reservation’ for this address. “it seems we’ve been bamboozled.” but as soon as the words were coming out of his mouth, she was beginning to retreat back down the steps. NO. “but hey, wait! it’s getting late— and this neighborhood doesn’t seem.. the greatest.” he says with a nod down the dark and dimly lit street. “and if i let a beautiful girl like yourself go out there on your own knowing that, i don’t think i could forgive myself. please, come in and maybe we can figure this whole thing out.” the offer is subtle, but not overbearing, he hopes. he can’t rush into it necessarily, but he also can’t afford to waste any time. “really— it’s HARDLY your fault.” a hand gestures for her to come inside, a warm and welcoming smile accompanying it. it’s 2022, emily— strange men in your house isn’t exactly a green flag, and she knows BETTER than to follow the instructions of a complete stranger, right? neil sure as hell hopes not.
#ITS OK THAT ITS BIG BC I GET TO SEE HER IN BIG 4K HD#i also feel like he knows her name from the booking n stuff (i feel like this is his house and he set it all up )#lmk if u have any qs

after checking his watch a few more times than he’d like to, he finally hears a car pull up to the property. neil gets up out of the recliner to subtly check the front windows to see a blonde get out of her car. WONDERFUL. the last few trials of this process of his had mislead him to an unfortunate outcome, whether that be that they were spontaneously accompanied by a partner or some sort of group friend trip where he was easily outnumbered. but she— she’ll work JUST fine. right on cue, he hears a fumbling at the lock box, a handful of confused noises following shortly after. where’s that darn key? as soon as he notices her turn heel to go back to her car, CLICK— he flicks on a light to show someone is in fact inside what she thought was her dark, empty rental. and there, like clockwork, is the knock at the door. opening the door to the beautiful girl before him, he flashes her a smile. “HI, can i help you?”

blake!
“ seriously ? ” blake reached for the box, inspecting the sticker placed on top. it was definitely the wrong address - again. it wasn’t the first time she had sent an order from victoria’s secret to his apartment number and now she was starting to feel guilty for making him hand deliver her lingerie. it was like the start of a really bad p*rn. “ i’m so sorry. i’m literally such an idiot. ”
zeke lets her take the box from him, clapping his hands awkwardly to fill the now empty gap between them. “hey n-no it’s not your fault! we’re pretty close in numbers, i’m surprised i haven’t done it yet— the night’s STILL young, though.” he jokes, rocking on his heels a bit. “i’m just glad i’ve seemed to make it just in time every time it arrives... or else the neighbors might think i’m cross dressing..” zeke blushes at the mere THOUGHT, looking around to make sure none of said neighbors were around to hear.

alycia!
“ i didn’t want… ” she could feel herself getting choked up over her words. the mere sight of him before her was making it even harder. alycia’s eyes fluttered closed in attempt to say how she truly felt without the distraction. “ i didn’t want to hurt anyone. that’s why i ignored you. i didn’t want to hurt you because i love… i love thor. i want to be with thor. ” alycia could feel the tears that had fallen down her cheeks and as she opened her eyes carefully, she made sure not to make eye contact with loki. she didn’t want to witness his reaction. odin had made it perfectly clear that she was to dedicate herself to thor or else loki would be banished indefinitely. it was why she had been avoiding him - turning down different hallways, leaving the room he was occupying. odin knew of her undeniable love for loki and had been taking note from afar. alycia couldn’t see herself living a life without loki around. the thought of him being banished from asgard for an unspoken time made her choice to fully commit to thor an easy one to make. she couldn’t lose him. “ which is why you should let me go. ”
“but you DON’T!” he boomed, the words echoing through the corridor, anger and hurt seeping through his veins. luckily they were still stowed away in the far corner of the asgardian castle, not a soul around to hear their quarrel. “you say you didn’t wish to hurt anyone, so does that mean I’M the one left with the short end of the stick? i’m the one who must live in misery for your benefit?” the typical ending for the mischievous god. he should be used to it by now, but this time, it hurt EXPONENTIALLY more. loki’s head shakes, a dry chuckle passing his lips. “your lips desire mine and i know your heart does too. so if you wish to live UNHAPPILY with my brother, then so be it. but i want to hear you say it.” he took a step closer to her, closing much of the space between them until her scent filled his senses. “tell me that you don’t love me, and i will let you go.” though they were words he so dreaded to hear.

alycia!
“ don’t ! ” she yelled, turning around to face him while ripping her hand away from his grasp. “ don’t you dare. i trusted you ! does that not mean anything ? ” alycia knew she should’ve been smarter. if she had opened her eyes, she probably would have been able to see the signs. right ? “ you betrayed my trust. and you will never get that back, loki. ”
a green glow washes over his female form, revealing the loki she is so used to.he remained silent, taking each of her words as a bullet in the chest. is she aware of just how much she means to him? he wouldn’t even DREAM of betraying her— not intentionally, at least. his thinking before this was that she would either not find out, his natural stealth-ness coming in handy as it usually does, or that she would maybe see it as flattering. loki simply couldn’t live without interaction with her, so he had to go in disguise. this was NOT how he intended it to come off as. “alycia, darling, the very last thing i would ever want is to hurt you. you should know this by now..” the god sighs, dropping his now empty hand to his side, flexing it once. twice. “you completely blocked me from your existence.. you ignore me in the hallways and make any excuse under the stars to avoid being in the same room as me. alycia i’d fallen in love with you and you’d put me in exile.. have you ever thought of how that made ME feel?” he let silence roar over them for a moment before speaking up once more. “and i apologize for deceiving you with my appearance, but t was the only way i could speak to you without conflict.. without argument or excuses.”

alycia!
disappointment sank in alycia’s stomach when she heard the knock. she was left laying on the couch breathless, her cheeks flushed with desire. but the instant shift in a mood while seeing thor open the door felt unreal. he was the last person she would ever expect to show up. and while she half-expected to be reprimanded; instead was met with a man who had no idea the truth behind her visit. “ thor ? ” alycia wondered in confusion. brows furrowed as she sat up a little straighter, the color completely leaving her face. but his booming voice filled the room with the one name she didn’t want to hear. her heart immediately stilled, face falling when she realized who alice truly was. tears filled her eyes as she sat there, unsure of when thor actually left or the reasoning behind why she was in alice’s…. loki’s presence. “ i– ” she began, pressing a hand to her stomach as she attempted to catch her breath. “ i need to go, ” alycia stated, standing up and walking towards the door in a daze.
“alycia..” is all she can mutter, but the tears welling in her eyes said enough to fill the room with silence. a VIOLENT silence, at that. the way she looked at loki was more painful than any dagger he’d taken in battle. it was under the skin— straight through the heart. and for once, he actually felt regret for a trick. actually regret wasn’t even a big enough for how he felt. doesn’t even scratch the surface. “alycia wait! please!” loki reached and grabbed hold of her wrist as an attempt to stop her from leaving. “you HAVE to understand i had no malicious intentions in this whatsoever..”

alycia!
the words sounded eerily familiar to her. and she realized the original person she had heard it from was loki, having said them to her once or twice. rather, she assumed it was because asgardians weren’t used to someone like her, not of this planet, and not the fact that she was actually in loki’s presence. “ so, was that a yes ? ” she grinned, looking down at alice’s lips as she got closer. “ i need to hear the word so i know i’m not being left alone to fend for myself. ” alycia sat up straighter and taller, her dominance taking it’s turn. “ tell me… ” she whispered, her mouth ghosting over the other’s.
hands wrapped around alycia’s middle, holding her at her waist as she began to TOWER over loki. what had she just awakened in this beautiful maiden? the god absolutely loved it. and just as she was to whisper the word into her mouth, footsteps were heard just beyond the door. STARS, some timing. their heads turned to the closed door, then back to each other. “i see we’ll have to continue this conversation another time, darling..” her fingertips traced the fabric of her dress so gently to distract her from catching onto her next move. quickly, loki flipped the two, alycia now laying on the sofa with her hovering over her. “STAY.” she quietly orders, getting up and smoothing over her garments to check the door.
but before she could even make it there, thor busted through the door with a passion. “LOKI!” thor grinned from ear to ear, completely unaware of their previous activities in secret. she froze, the feeling she would normally get when caught in a trick. in a way, that’s exactly what this was. the god of thunder’s eyes turned to alycia to see her laying on the sofa. loki could tell the change in demeanor immediately to concern, quick to keep the questions he had at bay. “she had a mere dizzy spell. i presume she’ll be recovered for dinner.” she lied so easily, turning her head to look at alycia once more, though sure to make it brief as he knew the BETRAYAL in her would be boiling. the reassurance must’ve worked because it sent his brother out with a hint of relief, closing the door behind him. loki remained with his back turned to her, facing the now closed door.

“ i think i’m going to love having you as a friend, ” she admitted breathlessly, the aura of the woman in front of her simply taking her breath away - never mind the way she had been kissing her. “ would you like to come to the ball ? it would be nice to have a friendly face there. ” alycia felt her heart leap at the question, but ignored it. she had to remind herself she was committed to thor - no more distractions. no more loki. having a friend around that could keep her grounded would help aid her in focusing on the things that were good for her. “ but it’s okay if you’re too busy… or something. i would understand. ”
the invitation was sincere— heartfelt even for the brief moment she’d known ALICE. but how was she to attend when loki was of the main court? the god always made his way around obstacles similar to these, so perhaps it could work. party guests hardly notice him anyways. “oh darling, nothing could occupy me enough to keep me from you, i FEAR.” she admits, a finger gliding ever so gently over alycia’s cheek. “if i’m being honest, i find you to be quite ADDICTIVE.” enough to sneak around under her nose in order to still be around her. who knows, maybe she’d find that flattering when— or if— she were to ever find out. “your TASTE in particular..” each word brought her closer and closer to aly, their lips practically ghosting over each other. a wicked grin spread on loki’s lips, one that would never go unrecognized in her usual form, but as alice? just a mere smirk, is all.

alycia!
“ i… i try not to, ” she whispered, every single thought in her mind disappearing as soon as alice’s mouth brushed upon the softest part of her neck. alycia reached up, placing a hand behind her head to hold it there. her breath escaped heavily past her lips, face heated with a rosy flush. “ it’s nice having you around, ” she managed to say, the distraction from the feeling that pooled between her legs more than welcomed. “ …s-someone to talk to, ” she continued, “ …to la-laugh with. ” having left all family and friends back home, alycia was essentially alone. and although she hated to admit it, loki had been the only one to give her the time of day. “ is this what… friends do here ? ” she questioned, still curious about asgardian’s customs. she rarely ventured outside of the castle.
those innocent little hitches in her tone were missed, ringing so sheepishly in loki’s ears. aly’s caught onto her antics as of late, making her more CLEVER and less shy. though he loved the challenge of her remarks nonetheless, it was good to hear the memorable nervous shuddering that hooked him in the first place. a laugh huffs from loki’s nostrils, gently, but enough to be heard by her. her head lifts from her neck to watch her straight on. “it very well COULD be...” the words roll off her tongue in a way that’s almost velvety to the ears. a finger traces over the bit of skin exposed just above the neckline of aly’s dress. “... in good company, of course.” her touch lingers up the side of her neck, grazing over the spots she’d kissed, making sure not to leave a mark. no matter how badly she wanted to. a flick of her digit from the underneath of aly’s chin caused a small chuckle to shake loki’s shoulders. “but only if you want me to.”

alycia!
completely breathless and at a loss for words, alycia pressed her forehead against the other’s in attempt to gather her thoughts. but she found herself smiling instead, entirely unaware that was the effect loki’s kiss usually had on her. rather, she believed it was alice, this incredible woman she had met. a welcomed distraction in the form of an ethereal being. in the end, that left alycia feeling incredibly guilty. why did she always have to ruin everything ? she pulled back, her brows furrowed at the bridge of her nose as the distraction she had wished for suddenly backfired. loki. loki, loki, loki. he was all she could think about, even while sitting in this girl’s lap. “ it was…. very good, ” she replied, biting her lower lip. although it was a hesitated statement and despite how much alycia was truly enjoying her, she did appreciate her for trying. “ you’re beautiful, ” she leaned in and pressed her lips to her cheek, butterflies swarming her stomach. unaware that the reason she couldn’t stop thinking about him was because he was right in front of her in disguise. and because of it, she felt like an idiot as she assumed it was herself that was the issue. however, it was a start. she’d continue avoiding him and keep alice around instead.
oh to bite that bottom lip of hers. loki’s hand rises to thumb over her freshly bitten lip. such an inviting sight it is. “oh, sweet thing.. if i’m beautiful, then i couldn’t POSSIBLY imagine what that makes you. i’m not so sure they even have a word for it yet..” that thumb that was once on her lip was now caressing her cheek. NORMALLY, this kind of trickery wasn’t out of the god’s element, but with the way he’d grown attached to her, there was a tinge of guilt in the air. but what else was he supposed to do when he’d tried everything he could to get her attention? she had to face the facts— that while she was set to be thor’s, but she was MEANT to be with loki. the chemistry was just there. she sighed, looking between the girl’s eyes to try and assess how she’s feeling in this moment. “...you stress far too much— i can sense that.” the hand on her face rises up to brush some hair behind her ear. her lips leaned in for a kiss onto aly’s cheek, mimicking her previous action, but couldn’t help but lay a cheeky one on her neck shortly after. you NEED to hold yourself back, loki had to remind herself in her head.

alycia!
she hadn’t expected this at all. it wasn’t her intention when she requested that they would spend time together. alycia was looking for a friend - nothing more. the amount she had on her plate was more than one could imagine. maybe this… form of distraction was what she needed. alycia realized she thought too much. when she wasn’t saying what was on her mind, she was thinking it. so, rather than allowing her head to get in the way, she leaned into alice more. alycia blindly set the teacup down before moving herself on top of the other. she brushed long, dark locks of hair behind her ear, lips moving in sync with each other.
loki’s hands found themselves around her waist as she sat comfortably on her lap, bringing her closer as the kiss continued. she had to remember to refrain from her usual god of mischief antics, as it might blow her cover. and STARS.. she was in too deep to want to stop kissing her like this. it felt like the first time they’d kissed.. innocent and hesitant, but also this hint of rushed tension. it was addictive— SHE was addictive. loki hummed under her breath, her tongue teasing aly’s lips as a hint to glide inside. it took everything in him at this moment not to change back and absolutely RUIN her on this couch— the placement of these quarters was so far out of the way she could easily scream their name without a peep being brought back to the council. but of course.... she couldn’t. “how’s THAT for a distraction?” loki asks with a breathy laugh as she attempted to catch the little breath she’d lost in their embrace.

alycia!
“ that’s what scares me, ” she whispered, closing her eyes to envision what she truly desired. the first place she pictured was the throne, sitting before a large crowd of asgardians. which wasn’t her goal in life, but it made sense to see that first as that was the one thing she was most concerned of as of late. however, someone stood beside her. she could make out distinct features from her peripheral, but couldn’t bring herself to turn her head fully. she didn’t have to. she knew who that person was. it was loki. alycia opened her eyes, shaking her head at her realization. whether it meant she wanted him, wanted to be with him, or rule alongside him as he lived out his desire - she believed he didn’t return those emotions. “ i can’t talk about this, ” she looked alice in the eyes, a hidden apology written in her gaze. “ distract me. please. ”
distract me PLEASE, the girl practically pleads to the god. loki can’t help but bite her lip at the ideas her mind stirs. no... she shouldn’t.. although she looks and sounds desperate for something— ANYTHING— to free her mind from these decisions. their heads were already so close to one another, the holding of hands and deep stares into each others eyes not helping either. before she could hold herself back any further, her nose brushed aly’s, their lips finally closing onto one another. oh how loki could DROWN in the softness of her lips, the hand that once laid overtop their linked ones now caressing her cheek.

alycia!
alycia smiled in return, finding her giggle to be the prettiest thing she had ever heard. “ well, yeah. he…. infuriates me, ” she shook her head, looking down at alice’s hand. alycia reached for it, holding it between her own. she laced their fingers together, feeling her stomach flip in response. “ but he knows me. it’s so stupid, but he just… reads me and knows what i want. ” alycia knew she’d never be able to say these words to loki - the idea of confessing to him made her want to ask heimdall for a one way ticket to another planet in a different universe. “ i’m supposed to marry thor. i’m supposed to be a queen, but how can i do that when he exists ? ” she wondered, looking over at the woman in hope of a clear answer.
their hands lacing together made her usually cold exterior warm right up. it was her effect on loki. “don’t they all.” she mused, giving her hand a squeeze. she sat in silence to let alycia’s words fill the room. loki loved the HONESTY— sure it was blind, but she craved to know how she felt. she always boarded up how her feelings on the matter in fear of her eventual fate with thor, not allowing herself to really admit it to him. but alice was ALL ears. “you must think about those very words you speak. supposed. what do you think is best for you— what you are SUPPOSED to be, or what you truly DESIRE to be?” she brought her other hand overtop alycia’s as a sign of comfort. “fighting against how you feel in order to fill a mold made by others will only bring you pain, alycia. if you ever live as long as i have, you will learn to live for yourself, not your peers.”
