The other day when a lady asked me to manage my plastic footprints while I was throwing my coffee cup in a recycle bin, I was dumbfounded. What footprint? I stared at her blankly. I was throwing that in a recycle bin, what more do I have to do? I did a little research. The answer was quite simple and straightforward.
“Plastic footprint is the total amount of plastic you use and discard in your life span. It indicates your personal contribution to the worldwide plastic garbage.” Just think about yours for a second.
When I thought about mine, the contribution amount was quite disturbing. You don’t have to think hard. All those packets of chips, single-use water bottles that you buy every day, your caffeine fix, straws, plastic bags that you ask for every time you go to a grocery store or shopping malls, takeout food containers. The list is very long.
Even though we talk about the havoc, the plastics are creating in our ecosystem, but seldom we try to take the problem personally and do something on our own. You might say, “I throw my wastes in a proper recycle bin.” But unfortunately, recycling is not the solution. It is one of the options yes. But we must try to nip the problem in the bud.

Everyone dreams of being someone or something they’re not? Just be yourself. No child has not heard of these words, “What/Who do you want to be when you grow up?” Many answered: their mom/mom, police, firefighter, actor, and so on. However, have you ever heard any child say, myself?
We live in an age filled with fantasies, imagination, and wild dreams. The same can be said since the arrival of humankind. Hollywood portraits superheroes as saviors of humanity, yet they’re merely drawings and imaginations of creative minds. Why do we obsess about being something or someone that we can’t?
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to be someone else. The real issue is when you forsaken and abandon yourself. Out of the 100+ billions of humans who have lived and perished, there is not a single one as unique as you. Each one of us has our own book to write. Some will have the same beginning and ending; however, no one of us has the same middle.
Ever since learning and studying about myself, I’ve come to learn two vital components. One, be the very best that you can. Two, enjoy and love yourself and your own presence. Society encourages marriage, connecting with others, and mingling with those that give you warmth and love. What about ourselves? Probably not so much. That is why we’re going to stress the significance of being yourself.

Humankind must strive to learn something new everyday. I remembered vividly as if it were yesterday when I was in Home Depot. A random yet kind stranger no older than 40 was intrigued by my family. Four of us was of Asian descent while 1 was the biological child. 
He said something so profound and insightful that most six-year-olds would just brush off their shoulder and continue to think about ice-cream and sweets. He said and I quote, ” Education is the most important thing. ” Being the polite kid as I was, I nodded in empty and clueless agreement. Those words never hit me until recently. 
Why would a man say such things? So I thought, and I thought extensively and greatly. It makes absolute sense. Education is the most important thing. Not just of this world but to life and the Universe itself. Of course, such things never occupied my mind until a year or so ago. 
Fast forward 21 years later, and here I stand, in the same firm position and ideology like that of that great man. Allow me to express the importance of why we humans must keep learning new things everyday (if possible) and never to cease learning, no matter the circumstances.#

If you have to ask what is sedentary or more accurately, the sedentary lifestyle, then good for you. This dangerous lifestyle involves no physical activity whatsoever and contributes to excessive sitting. A double edge sword. Only a swift and unmerciful death awaits you.
If you’ve never heard of sitting is the new smoking, well, now you have. More and more recent studies not only proves but in fact gives evident that sitting is one of the unhealthiest thing we can do for our body. Excessive sitting that is. Anything in moderate is quite beneficial.
To put in perspective. The average American watches almost 7 hours of TV a day, sleeps 7-8 hours, eats 2 hours, and works 7-8 hours a day. Do the math. That’s literally the entire day of non-activity! No wonder doctors and pharmaceutical companies are making a ridiculous amount of profits.
Did you know that, according to research, the effect on your body of sitting for long periods has is similar to that of weightlessness experienced by astronauts? This may sound cool, but from a health point of view, it is anything but cool.
A sedentary lifestyle can be hazardous and has even been associated with premature death. However, breaking out of it can be a big challenge, especially if you are not sedentary through choice. If that is the case, you will need to consider strategies through which to adopt a lifestyle which is more active without changing the way you do things entirely.
