Thoughts and stuff in the readmore

So here’s the original piece I was working with!

I adore a hakama but even more I adore the tonbi cape coat thing from the taisho era so I had to draw it hehe

I ended up using this photo I found on Pinterest for outfit inspiration and rendering reference, especially in the hakama:

Pleats are kind of difficult to render when they’re a bit softer and don’t hold their shape completely, but it was a fun challenge! I ended up embellishing the outfit some with an extra blue haori layer, some more exaggerated lapels, and a hopefully suited-to-the-time-period bowler hat
