#any time i sweat so much that my hair is soaked (after a horseback ride after a hike etc)#ill shower regardless of the last time #but usually if i dont sweat at all its probably 2x a week or maybe even just once.#i think in college i used to shower after every ride regardless of how sweaty i was?#in college i often rode 4x a week so i must have been showering an awful lot which is weird to me now #i think showering every day when youre not doing anything physical is dumb as hell #oh i also shower after traveling via plane or train bc i feel germy #or going to a concert or anything w a lot of people

Hey, I have trichotillomania (hair pulling issues) and I’m not an expert on how to stop but I do the same thing with one hand being occupied writing etc and the other will wander off and pull/fiddle with an eyebrow. I’d definitely give some kind of fiddle thing a go to keep the other hand occupied, and for me it tends to correlate with stress so keep an eye on your stress levels (easier said than done I know). You’ve probably come across this but terms you might find useful to look up are BFRB (body-focussed repetitive behaviour, an umbrella term for these things) and dermotillomania (the term for skin picking). Hope you find something that helps, it sucks to be experiencing it <3

yeeee i wouldnt say im stressed but my anxiety is pretty bad. idk if that makes sense but to me theyre different ?? they might not actually be lol but yeah i probably wouldnt be doing this if i wasnt vibrating with anxiety constantly . ok so fidget toy for sure lol i was hoping there was a way i could muscle thru this but all the feedback ive gotten so far says fidget thing. a mutual suggested a kneaded eraser which i have tons of so ill bring one to the office tomorrow !
