Eddie shrugged her shoulders as Jamie spoke to her, “this case were, working is taking a drag but gusse I could spare a few hours” she said while quickly glacing at Jamie showing how tired and run down she’d actually looked, lately she’s not been getting much sleep or any rest at all. “It’s taking everything out of me, Urgh it’s in the past can’t we just leave it there” she snapped at him, as she went to punch the dashboard but stopped herself knowing she was with Jamie.

Eddie had just finished locking, her place up as Jamie texted her. She sighed as she slid into her partners car, she didn’t know what to say. “I can’t stay for long.” She muttered quitely as she kept her eyes peeled on the dashboard feeling somewhat nervous, “Sorry, I’ve not been in touch, it’s just been hectic with the job”.

Jamie pulled to stop outside Eddie’s apartment building before he sent his former partner a text letting her know he was outside. They didn’t have plans to get together but Jamie had it on good authority that she was home. He missed spending time with her and needed to hopefully clear a few things up with her. Thankfully he didn’t have to wait long for her to appear. He reached across and opened the passenger side door for her. “Hey stranger. Get in. We’re going for a drive.” @eddiejankoxx

“That he is, well thanks for telling me. I’ve been thinking lately I might get in touch my mum” she said taking a mouthful of her beer and nodded, “well you’re still lucky to have him as a brother you know.” She replied with a shrug to the shoulders, “just seems it is you know”.

Forgot to share this, but found this shirt and card in my locker as I cleaned it out, think someone was trying to be funny with the card.

“Don’t worry my lips are sealed. I’d hate to tell his right anyway” she said with chuckle while she shook her head listening to Erin was saying, “I know I got that vibe of him but I just had to tell him you know, with me becoming a detective and him doing undercover work I just felt I was losing him. I’ve lost everyone I ever got close too” she admitted as she took a breath and sighed “I know it’s stuipd buts he the only one who really stayed around long”.

Erin chuckled as a jumbled mess of words tumbled out of Eddie’s mouth. She managed to catch most of it and even understood it but she wanted to be sure. “Wait …repeat that a little slower for me.” Erin placed her wine glass on the table. “I didn’t quite get all of that.”

Eddie sighed as she caught her breath a little, “I told Jamie how I felt about him alright Danny was right I do have feelings for him” she said as she slouched back on the sofa and frowned at the memory of telling Jamie. “I don’t know what to do Erin, I don’t think he likes me that way I’m such an idiot for screwing the friendship up”,

Erin watched Eddie from the kitchen as the younger woman got settled on the couch and looked around the living room area. “Thanks. Ben and the boys have lived here for about six years. I’ll give you a tour after. The upstairs is amazing. There’s a powder room just down the hall behind you if you need it.” She sat down beside Eddie on the couch and pulled her feet up to rest under her. “So ….”

Eddie just nodded as she listened to Erin speak and smiled at her, as she sighed while she took a sip of beer “Itoldjamiehowifeelabouthim” she rushed out as nerves started to kick in while she kept drinking her drink, hoping Erin caught what she said.

Eddie sat on sofa as she grabbed the beer and took a sip, while waiting for Erin to come out, “No worrie, you’ve got a nice place here” she replied taking in the sight before her.

“Alright you know me to well.” She texted as she made her up to Erin’s apartment and walked in seeing th door was opened for her, “Hey Erin, thanks for doing this” she said as she planted her bag on the counter while closing the door behind her.

I wasn’t thinking that, but thank you for clearing it up though. I’ll keep that in mind, I know the feeling, I’m just pulling into you’re place now. I’ll be up in a second.

I’m in the same boat as you, don’t know anyone there. I’ll let you know if she does, but I’m good with handling myself. She doesn’t like it when I hang with Jamie.

You do have a point there. I’m at 24th precinct takes me a while to get there, I have to leave at 6am just to get in for 9am. Alright I’ll try ignore her, thanks Erin.

“I just didn’t relise to be honest. I guess it’s part of the job I can’t escape from. Alright would they be up for pizza? I hope so I might have screwed up our friendship. I know Riley’s happy to have me gone”.
