I can think of no better example than a YTP and they deadass are listing that as something you aren't allowed to monetize HELP MEEEEE

fuuuck. hmmm. probably matt. it seems like something he'd do. maaaybe also tord if he was really strapped for cash. but see i could just see this being an episode in and of itself. they're watching some show about spaceships on TV and matt is like "i want to build a rocket" and they're all like "yeah let's build a rocket" but they realize they don't have the funds to build a rocket. so then edd is like "well shoot how are we going to make enough money?" and then there's a montage of them doing various things. tom works retail but he gets mad at a customer and ends up punching them and getting fired. matt mows lawns but he mowed over the owner's flowerbed and broke their giant cement fountain. edd attempts cat sitting and the cats hate his ass and attack him. cut to them sitting in the living room sadly. "there's gotta be an easier way to do this," tom would say and matt says "why don't we just make money online?" and they're like YEEEAAHH cut to them scrolling thru youtube to see what's making the most views these days. find asmr. edd is like "I'm not doing that, that's weird". tom's like "i can do it!" and there's some gag where he tries to do whispering but it comes out as demonic mumbling and they're like yeeeeeah no you're not. then matt's like "what about me?" and they're like sure. so matt starts his asmr career and he actually gets really popular. but the thing is he spends the money he gets on more props for the asmr channel. and edd is like "matt we were going to use that money for the rocket ship!" and matt is like "you don't get it edd this is my passion!" and then he and edd get into a huge physical fight over it and then tom comes in like "what is going on" and matt and edd argue in front of him like "matt is using the money from the channel to buy toys" "they're not toys! they're props! to use in my videos! for my fans!" "the money is for the rocket!" and tom is like "matt show us your bank account" and it turns out he's only been making like 10 dollars a month.
