oh i just thought of a juicy lore bite, given that i pushed eden's birth back to the meiji era

loose and informal headcanon because i think one day i need to go into detail regarding the layout of eden's bite and its different features, buildings, and general attractions and amenities, but!

one of the biggest features of eden's bite is . . . you guessed it, eden's garden.

behind the main building and its extensions from decades of renovations is a large botanical garden. a good portion of it is indoors with a large stained glass edge surrounding its sun roof. the indoor portion's architecture takes heavy inspiration from many sources, mainly that of venice and its canals, but also victorian gothic architecture, with a touch of japanese garden influence. there are koi ponds, zen garden, and flowers from all over the world. it's similar outdoors, and the canals do extend outside. there are japanese-style bridges over the canals, both in- and outdoors. people are able to take gondola rides through the canals, and it possesses a very romantic atmosphere, especially during special holidays, such as valentine's day, christmas, and new year's eve / day.

there's a lot of natural wildlife in the outdoor portion ( though, regretfully nothing exotically dangerous; eden was not allowed to ask for a bear, but the casino being in las vegas, the occasional coyote does wander in from time to time. no mountain lions yet, though ) for people to see, mostly birds, insects, reptiles, and amphibians.

there's portions of the garden area reserved for local agriculture as well that patrons can tour. eden likes to source fresh produce locally, and when she says locally, she means locally. she painstakingly has many fruits and vegetables grown on the grounds, but what she cannot grow on her own, she sources from local farmers ( or as local as she can get it; if it's a few states over, oh well! ). she may be a vampire, for whom food does nothing for, but she can still taste, and she does like to eat just to eat ( it also keeps the scent of rot and decay of digesting blood far, far away ).

there's even a bourbon distillery and wine vineyard on the grounds in the same general vicinity, as both require the produce sourced from the gardens in order to make the various kinds of bourbon and wine, both of which fall into various price ranges, though even the cheaper stock is quite expensive when compared to your average grocery store's selection.

there's much to do and see in eden's garden, and even more in all of eden's bite. the garden has so many romantic things to see, and things to buy as gifts for your beloved on that special holiday. if you're lucky, eden may just gift you something, too!

she smiles at silco now, forcibly drawn into the present, into this moment entangled between threads of impending disaster and the reckoning noxus sought to bring down like rain. perhaps he knows her better than she credits him for. the idea that she unknowingly, unwittingly, revealed a marred shard of her soul unnerves her, but she crosses her legs over one another and turns her full attention to silco all the same. " nothing important, " eden answers, shoving traitorous thoughts back into the pits of her mind, better left for the absence of company. a low hum trills in her throat as her gaze drifts to meet silco's eyes. " life is too short to have any regrets. even for your wrongs, any mistakes you've made, what else is there to do but to own them? it's easy to linger in the past, mull over all the things you could have done differently, but it won't change what has passed. have no regrets. move forward. this time, be ruthless. "

i'll be working on rewriting eden's bio / origin a little bit, so forgive the inconsistencies on the carrd for now! it's a lot to work through lmaoooooooo i'm deconstructing everything.

i don't think i've said this yet but thank you to everyone who's shown so much interest in eden and in wanting to interact with her. i spent so many years trying and trying to come back and write on her, but it never stuck, and it makes me so happy to be able to write a beloved oc with my friends!! i'm so glad you guys like her, because as all my muses are, eden is soooo special to me. i've been having so much fun writing and sharing her lore, and writing with my friends here.

eden has been alive long enough to see the mighty fall, to bear witness as they crumbled beneath the insurmountable pressure of the burdens bearing down upon their chests. warriors of the highest honor, valiant, bloodsworn in duty to their nation, and she's seen the world and the cruel hands of fate steal everything from them, plucking even the fraying strands of what remained of hope bound in their feeble grasps. if even soldiers of such caliber could break, what chance did the average person, without training in their convictions and mental fortitude, stand against the weight of the world?

for the decades she has spent amongst the people of zaun, she's seen the same look in their eyes. the diminishing fires of hope snuffed out, fleeting in the memory of only the smoke left behind. there is only so much a person could take. though she wasn't sent to piltover to reconcile the zaunites to their rightful place as equals to the people of piltover, it's impossible for anyone with a heart to not feel something for their plight, especially when living so intimately within the depths of their city.

" i know, " eden says at last, lifting her head to look vi in the eyes, leveling their gazes together. she presses her full lips together in thought, knowing that she must be careful with her words. no one, not even zaun, could know the truth. despite her true purpose, eden's personal crusade for zaun is genuine. " it won't always be like this. you must have hope. " she flashes a full-toothed grin, fangs and all, as a way to hopefully lighten the mood. " you can always sic me onto the pilties. i'm always happy to bite. "

eden loves playing dress up with people . . . if you catch her in a good mood at the casino, she may dress you up in designer clothes for free. mostly because she won't suffer to be disgraced by bad fashion, or maybe you're pretty and she thinks you should wear pretty things.
