"Oh my gosh, please just don't drop it low at all!" Eden laughed as she walked with her sister to the dancefloor. "You're the only O'Connell twin to not traumatize me, so please don't go doing it now!" Finding Arkin after he'd overdosed had affected her more than she ever thought, she still had nightmares about it, but now she tried to just make jokes about it instead, sometimes it made it feel lighter. other times not so much.

"Show me your moves! Just... no dropping it low, remember." Eden teased, laughing again.

Though Addison and Arkin were twins and nearly had all the same mannerisms as one would think, the main difference would easily be their personalities. Arkin was always the first one to be seen between the two of them. She could see him trying to embarrass Eden for the sake of laughing about it, while if Addison tried to pull it off -- it would be more of a disaster instead.

"Oh no, I can't make it to his levels of embarrassing. If anything, I'll probably look like an awkward dad out there. If I drop it low and can't get back up, just roll me out of here." @edenxoconnell

"Trust me, I understand that. I couldn't have made it through this semester without caffeine. I can't imagine how much worse it'll be after getting a job with my degree. I'm working on becoming a journalist. What do you do?"

"Well I appreciate it, but the sooner I finish the coffee the sooner I can get sucked back into my book." Eden tapped her temple with her forefinger. "Eh, I guess. They have good coffee and cute cats, we have good coffee and annoying employees who don't do their jobs." She was including herself in the employees who didn't want to do their jobs.

“ oh I definitely want the coffee. The machine at the station is down and I can only function with it. “ Gabe admitted. It was such a cliche that he was so discredited to coffee. But at least he hated donuts so he avoided that one. “ I just know how it is when there’s a good book demanding attention “ he noted with a shrug. “ I am not about to take advantage of someone’s kindness so the coffee is fine. "You're telling me." Eden huffed as she rolled her eyes. She couldn't tell if it was worse for Nikki since she was referring to multiple men, or for Eden since she was referring to one man. It wasn't even that she hated him, it was quite the opposite actually, but it was that she hated herself for fucking up their whole future just because she was scared and thought she was doing what was better for him. She had no intention of breaking up with Robbie forever, just until she could get her shit together. He didn't take it that way, and hindsight is always 20/20, so she knew all too well how stupid of a decision is was now.

"We've got to eat all the candy and cakes and cookies we can find. And maybe in the spirit of not focusing on love, we could watch a horror movie instead of a romance."

"Yeah...I hate Valentines." Nikki said but pondered over it for a second "..I hate boys." Yeah, that was more accurate; boys had let her down not a once-a-year celebration. Quickly though, she plastered a grin on her face. "Sugar high it is!"

She cooed. "That'll be so adorable! A tiny onesie with hearts on it or a Build-A-Bear kind of teddy" did Nikki love babies?! Oh yes. But she was a menace —to her bank account— when shopping for them. Did she care!? No. They had a new baby in the family! || @edenxoconnell

Even though I literally cried like a baby to her after I broke up with Robbie, she's decided to not totally ditch me and we're still best friends! She also witnessed me crying over Robbie as recently as a few months ago. Not my proudest moment.

Eden Lily is very cutesy and all, 'cause ya know, the garden and flowers and all. I would probably change it to Elaina though. It was apparently the first choice for me by my parents and I like it more. I think it's better than cutesy.

“I’m guessing you’re not planning on making a guest appearance at that, are you? You totally could and get some good press. Unless you’re trying to lay low, which I understand. You’re so hot— hot on the charts.” She quickly tried to save herself. “Right now. In the media, too.” Nice save, Eden.

He reaches forward to take the flyer down, crumpling it in his hands into a spherical shape while hoping it was singular in nature and that whoever this Jas person was wouldn't actually have an onslaught of people who vaguely resembled him show up to their house.

Eden’s whole body was practically vibrating with excitement as she led the way to the front door, trying her best to stay calm and cool even though one of her many loves of her life was right behind her. “Pregna—“ Eden clapped her hand over her mouth to keep herself from finishing her sentence. Of course she knew about the Matthew’s’ baby, as she’d kept up with all the news on Submergence. She was so excited for them, and she didn’t even like kids.

“Oh my gosh, I’m like, so excited for you. Did you get everything you needed? Wait, you don’t have people to go shopping for you? That’s actually really cool. You guys are still so down to earth. Is this a terrible time to ask about potentially interviewing you someday? Wait, yes. Yes, it is a bad time. I’m sorry. I’m an aspiring journalist and Submergence is, like, my favorite thing on this planet. Your music got me through some tough times.”

“Sorry, I know I’m supposed to be rescuing you right now, not bombarding you with questions.”

"Yeah, that's what I'm told," Van answers with a halfway nervous laugh as she sees how taken aback the young woman is by her presence.

The type of fans (of herself, her ex-husbad, her new husband) she ran into from time to time were always a roll of the dice -- Xavier had always been far better at handling them as she was.

This one wasn't immediately whipping out a phone and shoving it in her face, so she was going to take that as a show of good faith.

With a gracious laugh and an utterance of gratitude, Van follows her out of the store keeping herself strategically placed.

"Well, pregnancy cravings hit and this baby isn't exactly craving the type of food we keep on hand at the house and I didn't want to bother our chef and I figured I could use the fresh air. But apparently that comes with a price."

“Still crazy how that happened. Aurora Bay feels too small sometimes.” Eden was glad she was connected with the Evans and even the Levins now. At first she wasn’t all that happy about it but she felt like she’d been around Sterling enough to see that she genuinely cared about Arkin.

“Your aunt has a sick house on Aurora Bay Drive. Can you imagine us living that close to the beach. I mean, I get sunburned really bad, but I do like the idea of the beach practically being in our backyard.”

“We can give it a shot. I will say, now that Kai isn’t as tiny and fragile , he is a lot more fun and less nerve wracking to be around. It would probably do some good for me to be around kids more anyway. Considering he got Sterling pregnant on accident, I wouldn’t be surprised if it wasn’t just a one and done.”

“I guess we should start with Ocean Crest? They have a pool on the roof! Ooh we should have a pool party as a move in party!”

"I'm aware, especially considering who your brother's baby momma is. We're practically related at this point. Maybe we should all just have a commune." It was amusing to think about really, how her and Eden had been friends for so long, and then in a twist of fate their older brothers both ended up with sisters. Even if only in a roundabout way, Eden would now be in her life for forever. Good thing they got along.

"Esme would happily house us if I asked. I am her favorite after all." Sure she had a special bond with Wes, but Esme had taken Amelia in when she was only seventeen. She'd been the only mother figure Amelia had had for years. But with graduation breathing down their necks, Amelia didn't want to have to depend on Esme--or on either of their families. She wanted to be able to do this on their own.

"Okay, okay. Apartment it is. We def need to look into a big one though. Because still, babies. And as much as they cry, I also genuinely like spending time with my niece and nephew and I babysit a lot. So I'd like to have space for even just a playpen or something. Maybe we can see how much a three bedroom would go for? That way we have a bonus room that can double for kid shit."

Eden hadn't brought a date to prom but she figured she would at least entertain herself by watching and judging the couples and their outfits. While he was doing just that, she witnessed someone get rejected and it was quite the sight. "Oh my gosh... Yeah, I totally did." Eden couldn't help but laugh when she said it. "Poor guy."

eleanor wasn't exactly sure if it was a good idea to go to the prom since she just got back in town last month and she's still trying to settle back in aurora bay. but it seemed like such a nostalgic event that she couldn't quite pass up. always the people watcher, her eyes widened a little at the sight before her. "True." Eden chewed on her lip in thought and finally nodded. "Right. Well, I may or may not have been working on a campaign for a hot minute now because I've been wanting to DM for a hot minute. Not that I don't think our current DM is bad or not fun, it's just... kind of like you said. Just for fun and have all kinds of different stories."

Noah listens while scanning their items, running through his mental check-list to make sure they have enough for that night's session. "It doesn't matter if they'd be interested, which I think they would be, but everyone deserves a shot at their ideas." The items are bagged, Noah begins fumbling through his pockets until he can find his card to tap to the reader.

"That's the whole point of it. We build it together, and create stories and just have fun."

Eden would like to say she wasn't a judgmental or bitter person, but she absolutely was. She was still mad at herself for sabotaging her last relationship and she was not only judging the couples at prom for being so happy, she was also judging their outfits while drinking punch in the corner. Maybe this was a sad way to spend her night, but it wasn't like this was all she was doing. She was talking to people.. some.

"Huh?" Eden was pulled out of her thoughts and she turned her head and spotted her older sister. "Hey! There's no way you can embarrass me more than Arkin ever has." Eden laughed. "Sure, I'll dance with you!"

Addison felt almost out of place with prom as she kept seeing couples pop up around her left and right. They were all giddy with love, happiness, and probably alcohol that she couldn't help but feel like a bitter black cat. She eventually made her way to the edges of all the commotion and saw a familiar head of blonde hair.

Would she have loved for Robbie to not be in another country so she could have asked him? Yes, absolutely, but that was the reality so she was going solo. "I've made myself the prom's professional taste tester over here while I judge everyone's outfits." She nodded to the snack table.

“I’ll one up you on that and remind you my brother is a movie star so he has lots of money himself, but uh… at the moment we’re trying to stay out of the media for.. reasons.” It was well known what happened to Arkin due to his addiction so maybe flaunting her brother’s fame wasn’t the best idea st the moment. “But I don’t like to ask my very well off siblings for money or help.” And she didn’t really want to live with Arkin being, selfishly, it reminded her too much of finding him after he’d OD’d. she lived with him over Christmas and she kept having nightmares that she’d walk in on something like that again. It was too much for her. “However, if we end up without a dorm or apartment to live in, I would happily stow away with your rich family. Maybe with your aunt though just because babies cry a lot.”

“I think shooting our shot with an apartment first would be best. I’m not adult enough to have a house, are you kidding me?”

Amelia rolled her eyes at her friend's greeting, "You do know my aunt has a house, right? And my brother is loaded by proxy? So that box will be all yours, you could make a nice little two bedroom out of it." There was a glint in her eye as she said it, a playfulness there even with how deadpanned and sarcastic her words were behind the lip of her cup. She took another sip of her drink then before she sat up straighter, "But okay, okay. We're set on the apartment idea, right? Or do we wanna broaden horizons and look into renting a place over in Seabrook? Or a condo? Lord knows we need space for baby shit since our brothers are out here populating the planet."
