Livect di Salvo Nostrato from Salvo Nostrato on Vimeo.
Salvo NOSTRATO Livect (Museo Sannitico Version) 2014
VDMX Tutorial 001 - FX on & off quick tip from rybotron on Vimeo.
This tutorial explains how to map FX and turn them off and on with the same knob or slider. It keeps the layer looking crisp and saves precious processing power when a filter is not actually effecting a layer or group of layers.
This is my first tutorial of many for bridging the gap between motion graphics world and the VJ/Visualist world. Message me and let me know what you think or if you have any questions about anything presented in the video.
More about VDMX Buttons: vidvox.net/wiki/index.php/VDMX_Buttons
Edit: This tip can also be used for any mappable data source in VDMX like the waveform or clock.

Good Books - Metamorphosis from Buck on Vimeo.
It is not very often that we have the opportunity to create a graphic equivalent of a drug fueled rant bringing all of our collective skills to bear. And it is almost unfathomable that we could actually do something like this and benefit a good cause.
The Buck team dug deep, channeling our inner gonzo, to direct and produce this homage promoting Good Books, the online bookseller that passes all its profits through to Oxfam. A big thanks to String Theory in NZ for bringing us this script, Antfood for their amazing audio stylings, to Thor for giving his voice and to all the artists who made this something we are proud of.
Visit: usegoodbooks.com
DISCLAIMER: What you will see is an entirely fictional and completely unendorsed representation. [Though we humbly suggest Hunter S Thompson might have liked it.] We are devoted fans paying homage. No disrespect is intended.

Face Substitution from Kyle McDonald on Vimeo.
Working on an idea with Arturo Castro vimeo.com/29279198 I feel like "good" blending looks almost too natural to be surprising. It doesn't leave any interpolation up to your imagination. It's possible to push this style further, so it's less of a blend and more of a replacement, but then you get unnatural colors and shadows.
