We were a family, living in peace, love and warmth. But everything changed when conflict and despair swept through our lives. Living in Gaza means confronting ongoing conflict, struggling against poverty and the lack of basic necessities to live. Life is very difficult, and even the simplest tasks seem impossible. Yet, despite all the chaos and pain, we remained grounded by the warmth of our love and the strength of our spirits.

Even six months ago, everything changed. Our once home turned into a mess and everything we cherished. Since then, we have been lost, clinging to a world of uncertainty and despair. We left our badly damaged home with only a few things. Since then, our lives have been threatened

with every passing minute.

But now, there is no longer a reason to stay in this place full of suffering, where we are deprived of even the most basic and important rights, education, security and peace.

oh man that’s a tough question but the most probable answer would definitely be muelsyse (i promise i love kroos very much too tho)

there are so many different aspects to muelsyse that i personally resonate a lot with- among the many other reasons im so attached to this silly green elf. while i definitely have personal nitpicks, she is overall, to me, my absolute number 1 fav arknights blorbo of all time. i could write a whole essay on her, but ill try to keep this short. emphasis on Try

muelsyse rambles under the cut

there is something about how her character is presented- and then further elaborated on- that caught my interest. putting aside that i simply love elves and the color green ahem

muelsyse is an Elf, a race that is pretty much near extinct. the themes of alienation and loneliness are deep within her character. she hides it well with her friendly and playful disposition- she likes to help others as much as she likes to tease them- but she doesn’t really let anyone get too close, despite desperately yearning for connection. she’s kind of always wearing a mask.

having said that, there are two people she does immensely care for- saria and kristen are incredibly important to her. muelsyse is also what helped pull the trio together, and yet she was utterly powerless in stopping them from falling apart. when you’ve craved companionship for so long, losing it is incredibly crushing. i’d go as far to say muelsyse struggles w/ fear of abandonment- especially since her parents are deceased when she's still young. (this is also maybe smthin her and kristen would've been able to relate over?) i think lone trail rlly captures all the different ways loneliness can affect ppl. but this isn't a lone trail ramble, so i'll keep it on muelsyse.

muelsyse is different and she knows this (insert obligatory autism metaphor here). to her, what she can do isn’t anything special- it’s simply part of who she is. she doesn’t think too highly of herself, nor put much weight into her worth. and while her skills are impressive, being on a pedestal can feel incredibly isolating. this is also why saria and kristen are so important to her. with them, she wasn't alone anymore.

and what does she do when she feels that she has completely lost all connections to them? she attempts to end her life.

that scene always stuck w/ me- not only because it's emotionally painful, but because she attempts to end her life out of loneliness. because she believes no one will notice if she disappears into a pool of bubbles, despite how much she hopes to keep her race alive.

but people do care about her! one thing abt lone trail i've always been a little frustrated w/ is how we don't get much of her and saria reconciling after. saria certainly cares for muelsyse, and their relationship is extremely important- to both of them. muelsyse has shown up in a few recent events (which personally makes me rlly happy fghdjf) and i do hope in the future we get a little rhine again. tho at the same time i don't wanna see her character butchered so i'll simply keep enjoying what we do have lol

overall, muelsyse is a very complex character that really showcases how someone can hide behind a smile despite carrying a lot of pain deep down. she’s a very lonely soul hiding under so, so many layers.
