you wanna talk about some GENIUS LEVEL messing with the formula??? doof builds a machine that makes your vision blurry. and you think, oh okay, that's the perfect setup for linda to get zapped, and then she won't be able to see what phineas and ferb built that day. but that doesn't happen. what DOES happen is that linda is so tired from baking pies all day that she begins hallucinating. and she DOES actually see the backyard hodge podge. meanwhile, CANDACE is the one who gets zapped with the inator, so SHE can't see what the boys built. so when linda asks candace if she can see it, candace says she can't. and linda believes she is simply hallucinating. this show is so fucking good.

we do need to revisit the wording of "you can't have your cake and eat it too" because i don't think it clearly enough conveys that it's more that you can't simultaneously retain a cake and also get to consume it (which would render you cakeless). for years i was like But why not....it's my cake....?

One of our quirks as a species is that we think our food is bland if it doesn't have enough poison in it.
