🍽🍴 ＬＡＴＩＮ Ｓ/Ｏ － ＴＹＰＩＣＡＬ ＦＯＯＤ 🍴🍽

Night had come and everyone remained at the table enjoying mom's stew. At first you were terrified of the idea of eating human flesh but now it didn't matter who had been the person lying inside the plate of food, you were hungry and in a place, in a family like this, the only thing left to do was survive. . .However, sometimes selfishness invaded the subconscious, missing the dishes from your country, the food was not bad, you ended up accepting its taste, you even liked it, but almost every day it was the same.

"My god, with this meat I would love to eat some tamales"

You thought out loud and quickly caught the attention of the other members. If you had been a newly arrived "guest" they might have thought you were making fun of them which would end your life, however, you stayed in the house for a year as Thomas' partner, so that comment was nothing more than. . .curious. You looked at each one for a few seconds, embarrassed for interrupting dinner, you smiled shyly before speaking.

"Sorry, I didn't mean..."

"What the hell are tamales?!"

Hoyt asked with that tone that seemed to be annoyed, although you already knew that it wasn't always true, so you gave yourself the freedom to laugh a little, now they seemed curious and even Luda began to ask you about that meal and the night was filled with conversation with your memories and knowledge in traditional food.

La noche había llegado y todos permanecian en la mesa degustando el guiso de mamá. Al principio te aterraba la idea de comer carne humana pero ahora no importaba quien había sido la persona que yacía dentro del plato de comida, tenías hambre y en un lugar, en una familia como esta sólo quedaba sobrevivir. . .sin embargo, algunas veces el egoísmo invadía el subconsciente, extrañando los platillos de tu país, la comida no era mala, terminaste aceptando su sabor, incluso le tomaste gusto, pero, casi todos los días era lo mismo.

"Dios mio, con esta carne me encantarían unos tamales"

Pensaste en voz alta y rápidamente captaste la atención de los demás integrantes. Si hubieras sido un "invitado" recién llegado posiblemente habrían pensado que te burlabas de ellos lo que daría fin a tu vida, sin embargo, permaneciste en la casa por un año como pareja de Thomas, así que ese comentario no fue más que. . .curioso. Tú miraste a cada uno por breves segundos, avergonzado por interrumpir la cena, sonreíste tímido antes de hablar.

"Perdón, no quise. . ."

"¡¿Qué carajos son los tamales?!"

Preguntó Hoyt con ese tono que parecía estar molesto, aunque ya sabías que no era siempre verdad por lo cual te diste la libertad de reír un poco, parecían ahora curiosos e incluso Luda comenzó a preguntarte sobre aquella comida y la noche se llenó de una plática con tus recuerdos y saberes en la comida tradicional.
