Sel literally appeared in Oathbound like 5 times and gave me CHILLS and GOOSEBUMPS, just because he drank Bree's magical Root juices 😩😫😔🤭

Why is the Legendborn trio a bottle of sunshine who is secretly dark as hell. The dark as hell is secretly a bottle of sunshine. Then there's a mix of them both.
(Sel would disagree and call himself a "monster" and Bree and Nick would just call him emo😭🖤🥀)

Soo I was thinking some more about Nick, Bree, and Sel (obviously 🤭) Nick abandoned the order when he was 12 to be rebellious, Bree left the order and rebelled against the order too. He was bonded (not just by oaths) to them because he was supoosed to protect them, and loved them. Tor (🙄😒) was just being rebellious and wanted to date Selwyn to "rebel" against everyone in her teen era. I genuinely think Sel has a type for chaos, rebellion, and the wanna-be knight in shining armor / medieval pick-me's. Besides Bree, ofcourse.

Obsessed with the idea that Selwyn is this seductive divine deity from another dimension, Bree is this powerful, unstoppable monarch, whose reign will be the edge of the blade of which the world can only watch and hope to fall on the right side of, and Nick is just a guy. Like yeah, he's the scion of Lancelot, he's freakishly powerful, but compared to how much Selwyn And Bree would, can, and do flaunt their power its literally genderless entity x unstoppable monarch x some dude.

I'm seriously trying to think about how Sel would've never found Bree, threatened to kill Zoe and Elijah, died, transformed into idek wth, and had a crazy last chapter IF THAT FREAKING AIR CONDITIONER DIDN'T TURN ON.

straight friend groups be like: *white boy with blonde hair* *Chad* *blonde girl* *Kyle* *brunette girl* *white boy who plays sports*
gay friend groups be like: *daughter of daughters becoming the King* *literal prince of demons* *anarchist in love with them both* *the smartest nerd pulling both punches and women* *sweetheart who can both fuck you up and heal you* *mysterious enemy turned ally who is too gay to function (for aforementioned sweetheart)* *the kindest soul you know who can absolutely take you down* *baby they who's so confused but got the spirit* *newbie femme who is just here for the tea and chaos* *whatever the fuck valechaz has going on*
(this is a legendborn riff of this post by @its-all-love-now about the owl house!)

I feel like Alice, Bree, and Mariah would throw a big party after Camlann and play California girls. Valec and Sel would try to sing along and Nick would sing so loud that everybody stops and it's his solo lol.
(Willam and Lark would be kissing somewhere)

Oathbound Thoughts
(Part 2)
🚨Beware,SPOILERS🚨
Ehem, yea so I'm back here again and I was thinking more about the book (which is the only thing I can do rn) and all the romance and Bree stuff. So I'm just gonna put it into a big clump of thoughts of each character. Some of yall put out some really good thoughts in my comments so thanks for that because I forgot some stuff.
ALICE 😢
My poor baby Alice...in my opinion I'm pretty confident we're gonna get her back by either Bree needs to sacrifice something or she needs to get her Medium powers back and uses them to get Alice back. If not....I'll be crying.
NICK
There is a 50/50 chance Nick might die (I said more about this in the last post) but now I actually have a reason. We all know how Bree is and when she gets her Medium powers back, she'll try to use her connections to get stronger and defeat the Shadow King, and Arthur possesses her and she (possibly) loses control. Nick doesn't want Sel to consume her Root anymore,so he doesn't suffer more into demonia. So, Nick uses the shard from the crown to take Arthur away from her. Then after Camlann and everything, Shadow king is defeated, he'll sacrifice himself to end the Lines, since this is the Camlann of Camlanns and when it's over they'll have peace. I'm NOT saying this is correct, but in my mind it sounds a little legit, bear with me 😭🙏
BREE 😝
She's going to friggin badass the next book I already know THAT. I also think that Bree deserves a happy ending. Ms. Tracy wrote the Legendborn Cycle about black girls/black excellence/black people, and black girls deserve a happy ending and romance. So I don't think she's going to abandon the romance part, because what would be the point after building that all up? I think all her friends (especially daddy Edwin😏) are going to help her through the entire book to grow and stuff. The main trope for Legendborn was getting over grief, like her before and after Bree, but when she pulls Excalibur and fights for her friends, there's only a now Bree. In Bloodmarked after getting over the grief, it was building new relationships with people and finding the love and trust in her friendships, and she realizes she doesn't have to do everything by herself and that there's people there for her. In Oathbound, when she's all alone (despite Zoe and Elijah) she needs to find the strength and confidence in herself. In that one scene where she is fighting the warlock to get the crown, she says this.
"His irises are green with fury, and I imagine what I would look like to him if he could see me. A young brown-skinned girl in a long formal gown, striding toward him with her palms out wide. A girl with deep purple magic flowing from her hands to feed the structure encasing him. A girl raising that sphere into the air, levitating him from the ground. A girl trained by the deepest Shadow himself, her teeth bared in an electric grin."
PHEW! If that ain't confidence I don't know what the hell is! So my thought on the character growth for Bree is that she gets help from her friends and uses her Root and Medium powers to defeat the Shadow King after all of those. Maybe she gets help from the dead? Not sure, but gosh I'm gonna FREAK OUT for the next book.
P.S.
I'll add more about Mariah, Sel, William, and Valec in the next part of Oathbound Thoughts lol. I feel like I'm only going to do Bree's close close people or maybe I'll do more reviews on what'll happen in the fourth book in the LBC. Also, please at least read my part one and there is comments because I forgot to point out stuff that make ALOT of sense so read those on the part one. Mk byeee 😘

Oathbound Thoughts
(Part 1)
🚨MAJOR SPOILER🚨
So, here we are. The third book in the LBC. If there is three words I could give for this book it's, What. THE. FUCK. This is probably my 2nd favorite so far (Bloodmarked being first). If you're wondering about the romance I think I have a prettyyy good assumption on what'll happen in the next book.
Quick Recap~
Sel is the son of Bree's enemy(the person who they've been fighting the whole time since like day one lol). He's also the SHADOW PRINCE LIKE WHAT?!? (My heart DROPPED) and he's even FURTHER into demonia worse to like c'mon I've been rooting for you the whole time dude.🙄 Nick and Bree are having a situationship AGAIN and honestly I can't say I support it. Like because how do I know it's not just Lancelot and Arthur plus they can't even HAVE kids. (I'll get back to that part.) YES, i know Bree and Sel's mom knew eachother, but they built their relationship together, not js some ancient spell. Bree has developed so freaking much it's not even funny anymore. She has gone from people protecting her to being the protector like gurllll get itt!
The Fucking Romance (Excuse my language❤️)
Yeaaa Oathbound was a HANDFUL. The fact that Sel is the Shadow Prince and everything completely BLEW my mind away. He also can control Bree's friggin bloodmark. Considering the romance part,(I'll go into detail w the other stuff on a diff post) will there actually be a chance for breeselnick, breesel, or breenick? The fact that Bree is Arthur's scion and stuff and she is meant to fight Sel bc he's the Shadow Prince totally may stop their relationship.. (WHICH IVE BEEN ROOTING FOR THE WHOLE FREAKINGTIME 😫) Grumpy wizard is also in a SEVERE case of delulu and demonia, unless he lets them nurture him and hell him get his humanity back, there's a 5% chance they'll get in a loving relationship, unless Sel gets his humanity restored bc NO WAY im letting bree fall for Sel like that (maybe).
We also can't forget our golden boy is Lancelot's scion and can't have kids with Bree soo....? But! I also have an assumption. They're gonna try to end the Lines😮‍💨. Yes ,that means Nick or Bree will have to die or after Camlann it will be like the END and they don't have to fight anymore??? My other assumption is that Nick will sacrifice himself bc of what he was talking about the crown-shard-kingy-thingamajig in that one chapter bc there is gonna be something between bree and sel (which is kinda unlikely atp☹️) in the next book and he realizes that they're happy together (like what he said during the communion), and sacrifices himself after Camlann. But there wouldnt be like a major reason why he would sacrifice him self, so tbh this is gonna be one ride of a book. Possibly because my baby Bree gets possessed after and transfers his soul to him and sacrifices himself after Camlann to end the Lines once and for all. He's also CONNECTED to Sel.(other than the Oath IK IK🙄) Remeber, he has the shard in his heart and sel wears the crown soo.....we'll see whats gonna happen then.
This is a reminder that Miss Tracy did say that it doesn't matter who Bree ends up with because the Romance is a subplot, and its integrated so well btw. There is a HIGH possibility they might not get tg at all (which might kill me 2) but we must respect Bree and Miss Tracy. So yea, I'm completely torn apart 💔 😞
P.S.
Don't read the books for the romance and love triangle, there's a deeper meaning I SWEAR and if you are....we need to have a little chat.
