How Companies Can Use Digital Marketing to Their Advantage
As a writer I’ve seen the benefits of utilizing digital marketing first hand. Every aspect of a company necessitates some form of writing. Whether it be anything from an advertisement to the fine print writing is always present. There is a creative aspect in all business whether or not the public is even aware of it. Most successful businesses are aware of this and use it to their advantage. In the digital age new businesses can succeed overnight by going viral. Some might see this as a stroke of luck, but those in the digital marketing industry can break it down into a science.
What is Search Engine Optimization?
When most people think of a search engine the first thing that pops up into their mind is either a multicolored and simplistic “Google” logo or a search bar in the midst of a picturesque scene like that of the “Bing” search engine. While we know what search engines are and what they do. Whenever we have a question we put a few keywords into a search bar and hope that someone else had our same problem years ago. The results will often vary from precise to as random as the password on your Wi-Fi router. They search for us, we never really ask how they work. Quite a few people would be perplexed at the question. To put it simply, search engines find key words and return with relevant results. The system seems flawed at times, however, not many people are aware that there is a way to take advantage of this system and make it work for you. Through a little thing called Search Engine Optimization content creators are able to maximize the flow of relevant internet traffic to their sites. Search Engine Optimization just means that whatever is being published is created in such a way that it complements the search engine’s algorithm and ensures that what is created is the first result to pop up on any given website.
How does Search Engine Optimization Work?
By providing the perfect amount of keywords without oversaturating search engine optimization puts content in the digital goldilocks zone so that search engines are more likely to do the work for you. It’s a bit more complex than putting the same keyword in a post three times though. Often including keywords in URLs, hashtags, and headings are essential. As well as having three hyperlinks to other sources for credibility and producing quality content rather than just spam which is filtered out by search engines. Going deeper into this rabbit hole, companies that utilize social media will find that the complexities of different algorithms are never ending. For example, the necessity of posting at certain times, utilizing different filters, engaging with each comment, and producing topical content around the clock. Managing all of this while balancing the right number of words in given paragraphs and sentences is only the beginning. Why, even the slug, snippet, and captions are important. The whole process can be a bit tedious but that's where companies like tastyplacement.com come in. Business owners big and small don’t have to concern themselves with the minutiae of search engine optimization when they can hire on professionals who can guarantee natural traffic of future customers. Allow me to put this as plainly as possible: How many people do you believe genuinely end up going to the second, third, or even fourth pages of Google?
Too Good to be True?
While the process of overnight fame unfortunately takes a little more than a night it is not a fairytale. The fact of the matter is, there are millions of entrepreneurs that offer quality products and innovative services but do not receive the proper prestige that they deserve. In the online world its a lot like having a bad location for your business. No matter how hard you work or how much better your product is than a competitors your customers simply can’t find you. On the internet there’s an infinite number of websites and alternatives that may be search engine optimized to some extent by pure accident. According to this article SEO is so impactful that it takes away revenue from sponsored ad centered business campaigns. In fact, it improves the quality of customer experiences and is so seamless for the user that satisfaction is on average higher. When a consumer organically finds a useful website or product with little to no effort thanks to SEO they are more likely to then share this same website or product with their friends and family. This then creates a chain effect wherein consumers share their positive experience with their audience who in turn do the same. The rate of growth and exposure then becomes exponential leading to what it known today as “going viral.” This phenomenon can seem like winning the lottery but to companies like tastyplacement.com it’s simply another day in the business. With the efficacy of SEO its becoming more and more abundantly clear that sponsored ads are a thing of the past. While my past experience with SEO involved utilizing WordPress to drive more organic views towards a news source I know that SEO is a respected practice in business. In fact, the biggest names in business such as Bloomberg in this article praise SEO and its uses for any business big or small. We are living in the digital age, so why wouldn’t you be digitally marketing?
In conclusion, digital marketing is the future of all business. Physical stores are becoming obsolete. Businesses like Amazon, Wish, and even grocery stores are now heavily leaning toward online market places. As more and more storefronts close we see the rise of warehouses, delivery, and curbside pickup. Customers are looking for convenience in all aspects. Shopping, purchasing, receiving, and even searching. When I-40 replaced route 66 the businesses along it were no longer convenient and accessible leading to their eventual ruin. By making your website, business, product, or service more readily available you are evolving with the digital landscape before you. The customers are out there let SEO bring them to you.
