To this id like to add that what Germany did during WWII was from the American playbook. When deciding on how to destabilize the country they first looked to Jim Crow laws, added in some of them but decided black people were brought here , and forcibly kept poor. Black Americans were kept out of power, Jewish people were not. so they looked to what America did to native Americans. And decided that would help them with Jewish people.

Medicare cuts don’t just happen because republicans started SD in terms of Russia. They’ve never liked lower class people having things. When Obama introduced the ACA, the votes for no were republican - this was back when republicans hated russia.

Medicare specifically was signed in 1965: Around the civil rights era. And talk talk about republicans without bringing up racism is to outcast the root of all they do. In 1965, 294 of 361 dems voted in favor. 55 voted no, 12 abstained. 85 out of 172 republicans voted nay. 83 voted yes and 4 abstained. (The republican party was smaller back in the day because the parties didn’t look how they look now. )The 85 that voted no? Didn’t want black people having access to that type of stuff, others simply didn’t think it was right.

The bill had been reintroduced a plethora of times since Truman, with the Conservative Party always voting no. As years went on, the public began to favor having healthcare: and In 1952, the first time since ‘32 that conservatives had majority, the bill was reintroduced, only to fail by 4. It wasn’t until July of ‘65 when democrats had filled congress once more that the bill passed both floors and finally made it to the presidents desk.

(P.S this passage also was pushed by the assassination of JFK, with his VP using that as almost leverage, considering it was jfks plan. But not in the threatening way, more a sad story to continue persuasion. )

Can u guess which popular republican who fought hard against it? The later president Reagan. Who warned like poor people having health would make doctors quit. Who btw helped deregulate hospitals and how closely they were watched.

It’s a long trend of republicans loving the privatization of healthcare for max profits; and hating poor people.

Medicaid cuts happen because Republican politicians feel they are protected by Putin.

Republican politicians know they have Russian campaign support, Russian campaign finance, and billions in Russian propaganda/bots.

A lot of times it’s just called [state]health or just health care. In AZ it’s Arizona health care cost. In MA it’s mass health. In Alabama it’s unitedhealthcare.

No one place completely calls it Medicare in the U.S.
