Don’t Take it on Faith; Believe the Data!
I am 46 years old. I have lived and learned a lot about how life works. The lessons haven’t been easy. I have had extreme ups and downs. I have made mistakes. I have enjoyed personal and financial success. Through it all, I have learned how to be effective. I have started this blog to share my experiences and promote discussion about effective living.
We spend a lot of time being force-fed misinformation by the media, our parents, our religious institutions and our friends. Although they may be well intended, most of what they share is garbage. What I mean is that the information is based on conjecture, speculation, and/or just plain guessing. The result is we feel frustrated when we follow what we believe to be “the rules” and find ourselves getting nowhere fast.
There is a fundamental shift in a person’s life when he discards the patterns that are based on misinformation and starts living a life based upon practical and effective principles And you won’t have to take my word for it, these principles are supported by empirical data. That’s right, I am not going to suggest that you try anything that isn’t supported by cold, hard facts!
So please join me in the weeks to come as I share a little wisdom I have accumulated along the way. I am not promising you miracles, but I do promise you will learn a lot about how life really works and discover practical ways to start enjoying effective living.
