I’ve wanted to do a scene like this for awhile, I’ve always liked the idea of Georgie and Melanie spending an ‘afternoon’ watching the Admiral in his domain.

I probably made it wayy more peaceful than it should be tho lol

I originally tried to do a digital camera look, but ended up going with it as a Polaroid! Here are some other renders I did of it too

i was looking through the transcripts of 123 to 125, and i just think this part is so funny to me

The Web does seem to have a preference for those who prefer not to assert themselves. The investigation is tricky – I don’t want to impose on Basira

LIKE. I know he's not like that, really, but it's just so funny to be so close together

in the same way that heavy goods mirrors daisy and basira and cul-de-sac mirrors jon and martin, I really think web development mirrors jon and georgie. it's not that angie, the statement giver, thinks her friend is a bad person, greg's her best friend of many years and she's very clear that she can tell he's also scared of what's happening, but he's working for Evils Spiders Dot Com and playing an instrumental part in torturing people and at this point she honestly thinks having him assassinated would be the objectively correct thing to do if she were a braver person. she knows his passivity is a long-term problem for him, and she thinks he's coping so hard that he's not letting himself understand the reality of what's going on and that's the reason he hasn't left, though, knowing what we know about the web, I think it likely that maybe he physically Can't make himself stop for reasons he doesn't understand.

also writing this now I just realized that that statement giver's name is angie santos. okay ms Angel Saint.

It's super bittersweet that the girl Georgie was close with in college sounds a lot like Melanie.

I wonder if Georgie ever heard Melanie go on a rant about what a pompous dickhead Jon could be and had flashbacks to when she used to get lunch with Alex and have conversations that sounded much the same. I wonder if that familiarity is part of what drew her to Melanie in the first place.

I always love character parallels and irony, so I think it's neat how the person Georgie ends up falling in love and escaping the horrors with is a mirror to the close friend who unintentionally pulled her into the horrors. I'm a huge fan of that writing choice, though it does kind of make me feel like staring blankly at a wall and just...thinking...for awhile.
