IPL 2017 Opening Ceremony

The much-awaited tenth edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) begins on April 05. The IPL 2017 kicks off with the opening ceremony in Hyderabad, the venue for the first match of the season as well. However, it won’t be the only opening ceremony of IPL 10. This year, there will be eight opening ceremonies of the IPL. The opening ceremonies will take place at respective home venues of eight franchises. Just like the main tournament, IPL opening ceremony is itself an event.

In the past we have seen, Bollywood celebrities enthral the fans with their glamorous performances and this year it will be no different. Bollywood stars like Parineeti Chopra, Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor will perform during the IPL opening ceremonies. Not only these, but celebrities like Monali Thakur, Amy Jackson, Sachin-Jigar and Bhoomi Trivedi will also perform during IPL 2017 opening ceremonies to be held across eight cities.

IPL 2017 begins with last year’s finalists Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) taking on each other at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad. The idea of hosting eight different opening ceremonies is something new in the IPL, and it will be interesting to see how fans accept it.

When is IPL 2017 Opening Ceremony?

The main IPL 2017 opening ceremony takes place on April 05 at 6:30 PM (IST) in Hyderabad. As mentioned earlier, there will be different opening ceremonies for every first match hosted at home venues of all eight teams. The opening ceremony for evening matches will be on 2:30 PM (IST) and for night games on 6:30 PM (IST).

Where will IPL 2017 Opening Ceremony take place?

The IPL 2017 opening ceremony will be spread across eight different cities. Hyderabad, Delhi, Kolkata, Rajkot, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru and Indore will host the IPL 2017 opening ceremonies on particular first match days.
