- after payment is recieved, I will complete the artwork and send updates to make sure colors/characters are what you want

- when you are satisfied, the second half of the payment is due

- when final payment is received, I will send you full resolution file

EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT: CHISS HOLIDAY VIBES 01.12.2022-31.12.2022

For the month of December we will celebrate winter holiday vibes with prompts for writers and artists alike!

There will be twelve word prompts and twelve colour palettes for the entire month. You can pick and choose as you like and also combine them.

Rules:

no nsfw preferred for this event please (will not be reblogged!)

triggers etc. should be tagged appropriately and the work be hidden beneath a read-more line with a warning above the read-more line (otherwise will not be reblogged!)

The creations do not have to be Christmas themed. Chissmas just so happened to rhyme. The focus is on any and all holidays and festivities that focus on bringing light into the dark and people together. Religion is irrelevant.

Gen Ascendancy Week! July 31-August 6, 2022

Greetings Chissblr! We'd like to bring to your attention that we will be organizing a gen Ascendancy event week.

The event will run July 31-August 6, 2022, the week that the Lesser Evil paperback is scheduled to be published in the US!

This will be an event focusing on platonic & familial relationships as well as the characters themselves! We also have a list of optional prompts for each day - you're welcome to use any of these throughout the week, too! Art, fics, headcanons, etc. are all welcome, and yes your OCs can play too!!

Sunday 7/31 - communal sleeping/chiss nest

Monday 8/1 - shopping trip/fashion

Tuesday 8/2 - game night

Wednesday 8/3 - cooking together/mess hall

Thursday 8/4 - Grand Migration/birdwatching

Friday 8/5 - museum trip

Saturday 8/6 - hot springs/self care/spa day

Last book I . . .

bought: Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones. I can't wait to read it during the spring time .^.

borrowed: the Martian by Andi Weir. I feel kinda bad because it's my friends comfort book and I havent returned it yet djsjdjd

was gifted: the Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid. I asked my mom for it lol (thank mom <3)

gave/lent to someone: On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous by Ocean Vuong. Man, so lyrical. . . I wanna read more of his work.

started: the Martian (I LOVE IT)

finished: Room by Emma Donoghue. Wow, I wanna read more of her work as well

gave five stars: Piranesi by Susanna Clarke. One of my favourite books of all time. Her other novel is high on my list

gave two stars: Hm... It was a greek book by George Sari that I didnt found that interesting.. I dont even remember the plot lol

didnt finish: seriously I dont remember XD I usually finish the books I read rn. When I was younger I remember starting some books and never picking them up again because I really wasnt into reading lol

okay as a preface i have not been reading much lately. or even reading, full stop. so most of those books are ones i have most likely spoken about before xD

last book I...

bought: Does a third edition of a German Grammar by Zhana Nikolova-Gulubova count? I only had her second edition and yeah...had to add it to my collection of German student's / grammar books & dictionaries

borrowed: The Life Of Klim Samgin from the local library

was gifted: The Light Was Good by Angelica Labyrinth. My mother got it for me for Christmas and oh my good this book is one of the best things I've ever read

gave/lent to someone: The Brothers Karamazov to a friend of mine

started: Die Vermessung der Welt / Measuring the World

finished: According to goodreads a Sergej Yesenin anthology. All I remember is how much I despised the Bulgarian translation of the poems xD

gave five stars: On goodreads I think it was a book which contained The Fate of a Man as well as the Tales from the Don by Sholokhov

gave two stars: The anthology I mentioned. For the reason I mentioned

didn't finish: I can't remember if it was Less by Andrew Sean Greer or Mercury and Me. The writing style of the first failed to strike a chord with me, and with the second I felt like I was some intruder reading those confessions
