I don’t so much forget that I’m disabled so much as I…forget that other people aren’t.

Like, I can’t forget how tired I am or how much I’m hurting or how many things I wish I could do that I just can’t right now. Those things are actively happening to me, I’m thinking about them all the time.

It’s more like…what do you MEAN they got their entire to-do list done in one day? What do you mean they had the time and energy left over to do a couple of other things, too? What do you mean, they were sore yesterday from doing something physical, but that they’ve pretty much recovered by today, and tomorrow they won’t even feel it?

i wanna say fuck you to anyone who shame disabled, chronically ill & neurodivergent people, especially homebound folks, for "spending too much time on their phone/on the internet/etc." when it's the only (Somewhat) accessible way for them to experience the world. many people don't get to get out much even if they want to because of their disabilities. shaming someone for trying to connect with the world, make friends and engage with hobbies in ways that are accessible to them is beyond cruel and unnecessary

trying to crochet a tote bag for a semi-crunchy religious couple i know and love that’s getting married next month. i have never made something like this before but i have known the bride for like ten years and she’ll appreciate it no matter what so i just hope it’s passable. it’s in their wedding colors too, and i plan to embroider their names and wedding date onto it!
