I want to preface [again] that i just started playing crk about a week ago, so im not super up to date on the lore so backstory abt my ocs is subject to change as i keep playing the game BUT ONTO THE IMPORTANT STUFF

Twins with Bitter Dream

‘Moon/Nightmare Based’ – paralysis demon inspired

For a ‘Bad Guy™’ they’re very logical

They’re not as impulsive as others [cough cough shadow milk cookie-]

They see things from a very neutral stand point and when it comes to conflicts, they typically side with who they believe was wronged and will assist in ‘equalling the playing field’

Kind of like ‘an eye for an eye’ – if someone does something bad, they deserve to have bad done onto them of equal value.

They have this almost unnerving self-awareness. they acknowledge that they are not a 'good' person, but they believe thats better than being a hypocrite

SN to BD during a confrontation: "UGH. YOU ARE SO FRUSTRATING. I MIGHT WANT YOUR SOUL JAM, BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN I WANT YOU DEAD."

‘Dream/Star Based’ – fluffy like a sheep because ‘counting sheep’

Their typical personality is quite timid, but they actually have quite the aggressive side when they’re not getting their way

They’re very rigid in their views of goodness. Anything outside of what they think id good is simply bad.

They are very kind and gentle, but if someone does one bad thing, even if its something as small as lying, they will never consider that person ‘redeemed’.

Sort of like the saying ‘Forgive, but don’t forget’. They forgive almost instantly, but they never forget what happened.

SWEER NIGHTMARE AND BITTER DREAM LORE

General/Overall:

Just for context, when I say 'twins', I mean it in the most loose way possible. They were just made at the same time.

similarly to how twins are born together, they were baked together in the same oven at the same time.

They weren't even made from the same dough. BD was made with 'starlight' and SN was made with 'whispers'

you know, typical cookie ingredients

I wanted them to be different, but overall, the same

E.g. both have a very strong sense of justice, but they have different views on ‘right’ and ‘wrong’

SN believes that wrong doings cannot go unpunished, while BD believes that forgiveness is the better option.

In the ’in-game’ story, SN sides with Shadow Milk and BD sides with Pure Vanilla.

SN thinks that Shadow Milk [and the other beasts by proxy] was wronged. They believe his goals of trying to get his Soul Jam back are justified [even though they disagree on the sort of intense violence].

BD thinks that Pure Vanilla is right because.. well, Shadow Milk is evil. He is deceiving and hurting people and that is never good in any scenario, especially from someone who believes in kindness and goodness before all.

The only thing that they do agree on in this situation is how Pure Vanilla is being treated. In both of their eyes, its not Pure Vanilla’s fault he got the Soul Jam, therefore, it is not right that he is receiving punishment for the wrong doings of the Witches that took them and sealed the beasts in the first place.

The Witch:

SN and BD are twins. They were made and baked in the same batch and they reflect each other. The witch, instead of eating them, chose to make them their servants.

They weren't treated great. They were frequently yelled at and scolded and would be locked in a steel cage when they misbehaved.

They were locked up when the witch either left or went to sleep.

One day, while the witch was sleeping, the cage door wasn't closed properly and they escaped out of their prisons.

On the way out, they found a Soul Jam the witch had been working on and they decided to take it.

With each end of the Soul Jam between them, they began to argue.

SN wanted to turn back and confront the witch, to scare them into never baking or holding a cookie capture again.

BD wanted to run. In their eyes, it would be unnecessary and cruel to cause so much fear inside the witch. It would make them both just as bad as them.

The argument turned into a game of tug–o–war and the Soul Jam ended up being split in half.

BD immediately ran away with their half, SN yelling after them and calling them a coward. SN vowed to take back their half of the Soul Jam.

Opposites:

Bitter Dream follows a personalised view of what is good and pure and they believe that anything outside of that is simply bad, and to their credit, their views are pretty morally upstanding. They pursue 'goodness' with an [admittedly timid] iron fist. Anything outside what they deem is good must simply be bad. They are unwavering in their views and become upset/aggressive when their ideals are questioned.

Unknowingly, they themselves are the ‘bad’ they are so opposed to. They refuse to acknowledge that someone can change and be better. Once you do something bad, you can be forgiven, but you cannot be redeemed. Once you are bad, you will always be bad.

Their views are very black and white.

Their vision is a 'Bitter Dream' because there is simply no such thing as pure goodness. It's a bitter pill to swallow and it's simply just a dream. A fantasy for a perfect world/cookie that could never exist.

Sweet Nightmare is more logical. They firmly believe in the 'eye–for–an–eye' logic. They believe no single person is exempt from punishment. If you do something bad, you simply must have something bad done unto you. They believe in fairness and balance, regardless of circumstance. They see themselves as a judge, persecuting people based off of their sins.

They view people and circumstances as purely neutral, despite their sour attitude. They only see in shades of gray

Their vision is a 'Sweet Nightmare' because no one ever wants bad things to happen, its a nightmare, but there is a sweetness to the pure acceptance of balance and fairness.

This is seen at the very beginning when SN and BD are finally escaping from the witch and are arguing over what to do.

SN wanted to turn back with the Soul Jam and punish the witch for their treatment. It's not fair that they just get to walk away and the witch gets off scott–free. They must be fairly punished.

BD however, refuses to go back and even gets angry at SN for even suggesting such a thing. If they go back and punish the witch, they would be just as bad as them and they simply cannot be bad. They are pure and good and for SN to even think of causing pain to the witch must mean they are evil as well.

SN wants BD's half of the Soul Jam because they feel BD doesn't deserve it and refuses to use it to its true potential. They believe that that as the stronger, more willing twin, they should have the Soul Jam because they are actually willing to deal out punishment for people's crimes and actually make a difference.

"The witch must be punished, Bitter Dream. If this goes without justice, it will only happen again."

BD wants SN's half of the Soul Jam because they believe SN is simply evil. They believe that they are corrupt and 'dealing justice' is simply an excuse to hurt people. They acknowledge that SN is objectively stronger, but BD is simply objectively 'more good'.

"That is wrong– you–.. you're wrong for even thinking such a thing. You're just as evil as the witch."

the pink one is Divine Star Cookie. I do need to change their staff to more of a spear tho.

funny coincidence, as I was designing them, they kind of turned out like a pink starburst which actually goes perfectly with it bc they're Star themed lol

and the other one is Sweet Nightmare Cookie. I just finished them today actually. They have a twin called Bitter Dream Cookie (the one I haven't done yet). They're kind of based off of those licorice cubes. Their design is supposed to be opposite to Bitter Dream's. They're like dark pink with silver and green accents, so Bitter Dream will be light green with gold and pink accents.

Divine Star and Sweet Nightmare/Bitter Dream are in separate universes, they're not related at all lol

I have a whole notes page in my notes app about the deep meanings and lore between Sweet Nightmare and Bitter Dream so like, if you, perchance, want to see rhat.. *tucks hair behind ear* *wiggles my toes*

Getting Kuya to admit he cares about you is like trying to pull blood from a stone – its impossible

Though some males can be polyamorous, Foxes usually mate for life

once they’ve picked their partner, they’ll stay with them for their whole life; even if their partner dies early – which is especially poignant for Kuya because of his extended lifespan as a yokai

because of this, Kuya is one of the people I can actually see being exclusive with you

In my Yakumo HCs, I said most likely it would be Yakumo dating both you and Eiden

But depending if you start dating Kuya pre-Eiden Era or even early-Eiden era – he’ll be much more devoted to you than the new grand sorcerer (although Kuya will still torment him, lol sorry Eiden)

Kuya’s love languages are (weirdly enough) quality time and receiving/giving gifts

I KNOW it sounds crazy but here he out

For quality time – he is obsessed with you, in every way possible

He wants to be around you by any means, even through some mischief and trickery

Hes the type to pretend to be bored while listening to you rant about something, but he actually commits every word to memory

He also never misses an anniversary or milestone in your guy’s relationship

He’ll make any excuse to see you, from ‘he was just bored’ to ‘he left something here last time and he might as well hang out while hes here,’

For gift giving – 1) he loves receiving gifts and 2) he loves your face when he gives you the perfect gift

Kuya knows that he is not a very ‘honest’ partner – he doesn’t verbalise how he feels and basically has never said the words ‘I love you’

Which is why his gifts are so thoughtful and sincere

Whether its your favourite flowers, or something important to you (art, work, etc) – or even just something you eyed for an extra second in the market, his gifts are so meaningful and you can always tell there is a large amount of thought put behind it

He will never give it to you directly but rather leave it in a spot he knows for a fact you’ll find it and probably write some vague, sarcastic note (which more often than not, clues you into the fact that its from Kuya)

He’ll be watching from behind a corner (or hidden in the room with magic) to see your reaction because – while he is a smug man – he wants to make you happy

Kuya is a smug kisser – he knows hes good

I truly believe that while Kuya is a smug bastard, hes also a huge softie behind all of the snark and smirks

He genuinely cannot resist putting his hands all over you, though he’ll frame it as him simply trying to tease you in classic Kuya fashion

Kuya is the type to rarely use your actual name, only referring to you by nicknames/petnames that are designed to rile you up

‘little one’ and ‘sweet thing’ are for when hes feeling particularly teasing

Though, in his softer moments – he’ll slip up and murmur a soft ‘love’ under his breath

He would actually appreciate his own petnames – something personal to him

In the forest, he has his own garden with magic flowers

something along the lines of ‘lavender’ or ‘wisteria’ when you’re feeling sweet – and ‘foxtail’ when you’re feeling a little mischievous yourself

Whether you already know how to cook or not, Yakumo wants to show you how

It’s a love language for him in a way

He loves cooking and its important to him so he wants to share that with you

I think cooking and almost ‘providing’ for the people he cares about is his way of showing that he cares about you and wants you to be happy and safe

I think I’m just describing acts of service lol

His love languages are acts of service and words of affirmation

Yakumo is a very kind, sensitive soul – and that has caused him to become somewhat of a people pleaser

His worst fear is for you to think he doesn’t love or care you – because he does. He loves you so much that he feels the need to show it both with his words and actions

Realistically – in a relationship between the both of you, Eiden is going to be there as well

I just can’t see a world in which Yakumo isn’t hopelessly yearning for him

But just because he is also involved with Eiden, that doesn’t mean he doesn’t love you any less

In fact, if you and Eiden got along; I think that would make him even more smitten with the both of you

The two loves of his life getting along (or even… ‘getting along’)? Heart eyes, swooning, nose bleed

I swear, he really do be fainting like this is some romantic comedy or something smh

But even though he loves Eiden, he makes it very EXTREMELY clear that he will always love you as well – and he’ll do everything he can to make sure you don’t just know that you’re loved, but you also feel that you’re loved

Yakumo is a very timid, but eager partner

Hes excited and eager, but shy and easily embarrassed

PDA (or any displays of affection really) will never fail to make him blush red like a tomato

And any insinuation of ‘other activities’ will make him stutter and fluster like a victorian peasant witnessing a woman’s ankles for the first time

But despite his timidness, he really is so happy when you cuddle up to him and kiss him

Running your fingers through his hair will make him shiver with delight and fondness and he’ll look at you with the most adoring gaze

Yakumo is a shy kisser – even with years of practice, he kisses like hes about to bolt

But prolong the contact and he’ll melt into a puddle

He never knows where to put his hands so at first they’ll softly tremble at his sides or in the air – but when he really starts to feel it, his shaking hands will move to grip onto your elbows or shoulders

He will never voluntarily go to grab your waist because he is so nervous that hes going to accidently make you uncomfortable (even though hes the sweetest little thing ever)

He only uses nicknames sometimes, when hes feeling particularly loving and doting

His go-to is sweet and simple – a softly mumbled “dear” as he passes you a plate of steaming food

If hes feeling particularly sensitive or emotional, he might bust out the ‘my love’ or ‘love of my life’
