I got my mom a thing or two for Mother's Day because she deserves to be honored for all the sacrifices she made. But I don't think I'm going to be celebrating it for me. It's for a few reasons, but the main one is that I'm always working on Mother's Day. It's literally guaranteed I will be working bc it's a Sunday. What's the point? People coming into my job and telling me "happy Mother's Day" when I should honestly be at home with my kids celebrating is just fucking depressing so I'm going to try to forget what today is. It's a day to celebrate mothers, but it's not a day to celebrate me. I guess I have to make peace with that.
