Glad Day Bookshop in Toronto, Canada, is such an important part of queer history and the current queer community. They've done so much work fighting censorship, platforming queer artists, and raising money and support for community members in need.
Tumblr has often said they want queer spaces that aren't just bars, and this place actually exists.
They're a cute queer coffee shop, they run movie nights, they do brunch, they have trivia nights, they sell queer art, they have author's talks.
They also have dance parties, drag shows, music nights, mix great cocktails... What more can you want?
I have basically no followers, so please help boost this. Thanks!
The link to donate is above.
You can also buy books from them below:

Why are there not normal people who don't say antisemitic crap, praise Hamas and co. as the resistance, say things like "long live October 7th"; but also say "fuck Israel," get out of Gaza, get out of the West Bank, boycott, divest and sanction Israel, and that Zionism is racism.
I typed up another big long thing, but it's so tiring, being told that "resistance is violence" when I don't feel like celebrating the slaughter of people? Regardless of who they may have been, I don't know who they are. I can't research the lives of more than a thousand people to deem them as either "guilty Zionists" or "complicit Zionists" or "child who does not yet speak" any more than I can do that for the 30,000+ Gazans murdered by Israel. Do not get me twisted, I have donated multiple times, I have signed a petition to Parliament, I've spread the word, I've done my clicks. I know that Israel is the guilty party in the big picture, and that none of this would have happened if events going all the way back to 1947 (Nakba) did not happen.
What happened to reminding people things aren't black and white, that people can feel complicated feelings?
Why is it that I am not allowed to still feel gross about people celebrating October 7th, like it did anything more than provide Israel a golden opportunity to invade Gaza and start up another round of mass slaughter? On October 7th I did feel bad, yes! I felt bad for the 'evil Israeli colonizing Zionists', because I am a human being. I also felt a sense of dread because I knew Israel was going to attack Gaza, just like it has in the past.
