Sections of current model after researching kinetic architecture and determining how to model my ideas in rhino. Slats leave spaces for light to filter through and can be formed to change shape slightly to create interesting patterns as someone walks through the folly.

Analysis for texture of the folly. Using the previous study of shadows (temporary deformation) to inform this. These members will also be the solution to how the folly will interact with human activity. Adding the kinetic aspect to the structure embraces the theme of deformation.

Void analysis of the Carleton bus stop. Empty voids show areas of density during busy hours. Placement of my structure in these voids could possibly act as a way to disperse these crowded areas. Lines around the voids show movement patterns around the voids.

Very bad render to determine scale. Haven't decided if this is too big for my site or if it should act more as a shelter/rest stop.

Eye level renders of the model. Focussing on the morphology of a solid to reflect deformations. Going to take these into photoshop and try to make them more realistic.

Palimpsest [Human traces] : Studying the impacts of deformation of this site from clusters of people. Using these patterns to model shells in rhino and their corresponding 2D image. Created shadow like forms that fall under the category of temporary deformation.

Exploring the different overlays and what they might create with two images: first captures a time when people are present and the second shows what they have left behind (footprints, seat worn, etc.)

Rhino experimentation: getting to know the basics of rhino. Morphing of solid shapes creates really interesting draping patterns (delete solid object later)
