A smirk, an insult, but the gun remained still; yes, interpreting such things seemed easy enough, even placed against eyes so frozen. Indeed, perhaps there was even a genuine edge to the chuckle Xerxes emitted in response, a careless wrist flicking outward as he spoke.
“Careful now, dear Major; I might get the idea that you like my company, however obnoxious.”
“Possibly.“
While cold features melted until a smirk, he still held a rather unsettling aura. Was it dangerous? Playful maybe? A smile may give hints, but what use was that when eyes have long lost the ability to wield expression?
Yet that… Was something the Hatter was used too, no?
