There's some pretty obscure dialogue you can find in Chapter 4 where Ralsei roasts the fuck out of Susie and its awesome
You specifically have to tell Ralsei not to park his butt in the room with the couch, and then backtrack here before the final boss!

Interlude: Droplets
This is scene wasnt really canon, but let’s pretend it takes place between moon 19 and 20. I had a really bad few days and an even worse visit with my mom. I’m a little better now, not normal but back to stable I guess. I don’t really say that for pity but more so no one worries, I just really really really needed to write out my feelings.
I did give this a happy ending bc we deserve it right?
Trigger warning: talks of depression, mental health in general, paranoia and paranoid thoughts, isolation etc
It was just before sunhigh, the camp quiet—most cats were out on patrol or dozing in the early warmth of the day. Dropletpaw sat curled in the cleric den, watching Lynxdawn grind dried lavender against a flat stone, smoke from her sage incense mixing with the soft light.
She’d been quiet a while before finally asking, “Do you think there’s something wrong with me?”
Lynxdawn’s paw froze mid-motion. Her hackles twitched slightly before she turned her head. “No… did someone say something was?”
Her voice was calm, but Dropletpaw could read her like downwind prey scent.
“No. No one has to,” she muttered. “I’m not dumb. I can tell.”
“I never said you were dumb,” Lynxdawn replied gently, setting the stone down and turning to face her fully. “And I doubt anyone in the clan thinks that either.”
Dropletpaw’s eyes stayed on the floor. “Then why am I so different? From my sisters. From everyone.”
“Oh, honey—” Lynxdawn stepped forward, but Dropletpaw flinched back, shrinking like her fur was being tugged tight over her bones.
“I’m sorry!” she blurted. “I just—I don’t know why! I know you’d never, but my brain still thinks you will. It’s like…it’s like my thoughts short-circuit, and I just assume the worst thing possible.”
Lynxdawn felt her heart sink into her paws.
“I think a lot of cats feel like that sometimes,” she said gently. “Maybe not exactly like you do, but you’re not as alone in that as you think. Bigger clans have all kinds of cats who feel every which way. SaltClan’s small, but that doesn’t mean you’re the only one who feels… off.”
Dropletpaw squirmed like her pelt was too tight. Her eyes welled up and she didn’t bother blinking the tears away.
“Do you wanna try some calming teas or honeys?” Lynxdawn asked, voice soft, uncertain. “We can try a few different ones, see if something helps settle you.”
Dropletpaw shook her head. “But what if they don’t work?”
“Then we try something else,” Lynxdawn reassured. “There’s lots of herbs and remedies. You’re not stuck with just one thing.”
“But what if nothing works?” she whispered. “What if this is just…me? And I spend my whole life feeling like I’m crawling out of my skin around my own clanmates?”
Lynxdawn opened her mouth to answer, but Dropletpaw cut her off.
“You don’t get it!” she snapped suddenly, her voice cracking. “I’m scared all the time! It’s like—I don’t know—like everyone else is just living their lives, and I’m stuck watching shadows waiting for something to go wrong. Like something will go wrong, and I’ll mess everything up or get someone hurt. Being around cats makes my skin itch. Like I’ve got flies crawling under my fur!”
She shuddered again, crying fat tears now. “Good cat don’t think like this! Good cats don’t spend their lives distrusting their family.”
She took a shaky breath, her claws flexing into the moss.
“I’m not meant for this. I shouldn’t even be in a clan.”
The silence that followed was thick and aching. Lynxdawn stared, her eyes wide and wet.
“Dropletpaw… what are you saying?” she asked, voice trembling. “Do you want to leave? Become a loner?”
Dropletpaw let out a sob and stumbled into her mother’s chest. “I don’t want to,” she cried, “but I feel like I don’t belong! Like everyone’s going to realize I’m faking it—that I don’t trust them, that I’m broken. And when they find out, they’ll hate me. You’ll hate me.”
Lynxdawn sucked in a breath, barely holding in her sob. She pulled away just enough to meet her daughter’s eyes.
“Okay,” she said hoarsely. “Then tell me.”
Dropletpaw blinked, confused. “W-What?”
“Tell me all the evil things you’ve done,” Lynxdawn said, voice shaking but firm. “Show me all the proof that you’re this ‘bad cat’ you think you are. And I promise—I won’t flinch.”
Dropletpaw stammered, but nothing came out.
“See?” Lynxdawn whispered, her eyes searching. “There’s nothing. Because you’re not bad. You’re just hurting. You’re my kit. You’re a good cat who’s scared and overwhelmed and needs help. And love. And you have both. You have me.”
Dropletpaw whimpered, her face crumpling as she pressed into Lynxdawn again. “I feel like my mind is… is a wound. Like everything’s raw and bleeding and exposed.”
Lynxdawn began grooming her gently, licking away the tears and snot on her daughter’s face with steady, soothing strokes. Her purr was shaky but strong, loud enough to rumble against Dropletpaw’s sobs.
“You’re my kit,” she murmured. “You’re a blessing and a gift. I’m so sorry I didn’t see how much you were hurting sooner. But I’m here now. I’ve got you. And we are making calming tea. And I’m telling Wolfstar you’re off training for the day.”
Dropletpaw sniffled, her voice finally quieting. “I’m still scared.”
“I know, darling. But we don’t give up before we even try.” Lynxdawn kissed the top of her head, already reaching for a jar of chamomile blossoms. “That’s not what warriors do.”
Dropletpaw hesitated, then said again, softer this time, “What if nothing works?”
Lynxdawn met her eyes, warm and steady. “Then we’ll cross that river when we get to it. Together.”
