Something i love that i don’t see people talk about is how each archeron sister represents a stress response.

Feyre fights. Literally and metaphorically. For so long Feyre was fighting against the odds of her and her family’s survival. While also going against societal norms of basically being a woman. She was the (albeit forced) breadwinner, and doing traditionally “masculine” tasks. Feyre didn’t abide by gender norms, and instead carved her own place in a world that she was never even meant to be in. But she also fights for her family, not just in terms of survival but by forgiving them and wanting relationships with them despite all the hardships she endured alone.

Nesta flees. Nesta and Feyre are said to literally be two sides of the same coin. Anytime something happens Nesta runs, once again literally and metaphorically. Their father gets beat up soon after their mother dies, she immediately grabs Elain and runs and hides in the room. Same with how she kept away from her sisters while in Velaris as she was coping unhealthily. Also, how Nesta refused to accept help when offered it, and was literally forced into rehab basically. The stairs literally stopped Nesta from running away. Nesta also is very emotionally unavailable throughout most of the series, she’s cold and distant because it’s the only way she feels she can protect herself.

Elain fawns. (Lol get it?) whereas both of her sisters had a hard time in society, it can be said that Elain thrived in it. Within less than a year of reentering high society, after her family had been shunned out might I add, she was able to secure a marriage to the future Lord of their region?? Just beauty and kindness isn’t enough for a match like that, that took at least some cunning and wit that was definitely wasted in the human lands. Elain perfectly adapted to human society, just as she later had to adapt to the Night Court. To secure her safety or whatever, Elain knows how to conform and modify herself for whatever world she gets thrown into, despite the constant change of expectations she finds herself in.

I’ve been wanting so badly to write a little fic for Elucien. Here’s a little snippet I came up with:)) please lmk what you think ♡ ♡

He wasn’t supposed to be here.

He wasn’t supposed to be sitting there acting like he wasn’t suffocating her. His presence alone was enough to have her chest seizing, her heart threatening to burst if she so much looked in his direction too long.

The only reasonable answer to her suffering was that she hated him.

It was obvious to anyone who looked at them, awkwardly standing on opposite ends of the room, that Elain Archeron hated the seventh son of Autumn.

And she hated that Lucien believed that.

bonus points if they’re morally gray. like since when is being morally gray only hot when masculine characters do it. so they can m*rder and it’s cool, but when my girl becomes a master manipulator to SURVIVE suddenly she’s the worst character to ever exist. sorry they aren’t a two dimensional cardboard decoration.

I have a headcanon that I must share right now. Lucien has been writing letters to Elain the whole time but has never sent them out. He keeps them in a special box. They're either love letters or letters introducing himself. Poor Lucien doesn't send them because he knows she wants her space and needs to time to adjust to her new life. He has an immense amount of respect for her boundaries because he knows how his mother suffered every time Beron violated them.

One day Elain will find that box and read all those letters.

Also Lucien has a dream journal. Because of the mating bond, Elain is the subject of many of those dreams. Some more innocent than others. For the spicier ones, he feels an immense amount of shame and embarrassment, especially if it required him to relieve himself afterwards.

All the Vanserras write in perfect cursive that's borderline calligraphy. LoA is extremely strict about penmanship. Letters are a major form of communication and their handwriting is a reflection of the Autumn Court.

Headcanon that when Elucien are courting, Elain is the one who gives Lucien flowers, and she chooses specific ones based on their meanings and Lucien buys a book that lists flowers and their meanings so he can figure out what she's trying to tell him.

this whole “cauldron mates” vs “true mates” thing is so… silly.

to say that eluciens bond can’t be considered true because of how fast the bond snapped into place, and it was only made as a power match. lucien tolerated a lot from tamlin during ACOMAF (and ACOTAR if we’re being honest) but the minute he saw elain getting dragged into the cauldron, he stepped in. it’s similar to rhys in ACOTAR, who felt protective of feyre despite her being human and just knew. of course i mean it’s basic decency to step in when you see your friend kidnapped his ex girlfriends sister, but still lucien stepped up to the king of hybern in order to help her and stop it. literally the only thing that stopped him from getting to her was the kings magic. you could argue that in those few moments they interacted before she turned fae he felt the same protectiveness that rhys felt, he just acted a bit more impulsively lol. that bond was always there (same with nessian too even though that one took longer to snap) also rhys & feyres bond snapped into place pretty quickly when re-meeting as fae.

so it’s midnight and im tired but i have to speak my truth: what im trying to say is by saying eluciens bond has no chance of being a “true bond” then you’d also have to cross examine feysands bond too. yk the two main characters in the series.

anyways one day closer to eluciens power couple era.

saw priscilla and like most i was so caught of guard with the resolution. all that buildup of the grooming and all of her pain to be wrapped up with a 30 second montage of how she decides to leave elvis. and then i remembered it’s based off of “elvis & me” even in the title of her book, priscilla doesn’t even acknowledge herself by name. without him, the public doesn’t care about her. in the movie we don’t get to see her without him, because even now to this day many people went to see that movie not for her, but for elvis (jacob elordi). her name will forever be tied to his and she will always be stuck inside of his story, even in her own retelling she is overshadowed by him. and this happens to so many women, it reminds me of how even though most know the individual stories of “the six wives of henry viii” we group them under his name. i still wish we could’ve seen her learning who she was outside of elvis, but i kinda understand the choice. sofia coppola COUNT YOUR DAYS.
