I changed my license plate bulbs back to blue....apparently in New York you can’t get away with blue license plate lights...regardless the white lights look better than the warm ones that come stock with the car. #

The relay kit is ESSENTIAL when doing a HID kit install on a 2013 Hyundai Elantra. As you can see in my pervious post, I was having issues with one of my headlights going out after a few minutes without the relay kit. This was definitely no fun to deal with, but I was happy to find his second video on the issue. He explains here how to set up the relay kit, so that the power for the lights is taken directly from the battery itself. The bulbs are much more powerful than the stock bulbs and that is why they need to be linked up to the battery. Just make sure that when you install the relay kit, that you tighten the connection from the relay to the battery. I mistakenly left it a tad loose and it was fine for a little  while, but  from the engine shaking I lost connection to the battery and I was stranded for a little while. Luckily I had my Hyundai roadside assistance!

I installed blue interior lights to match my headlights. I purchased the interior blue bulbs on eBay for around 15 dollars,

New set covers came in! They were very easy to install. It only took a few minutes and I am really happy with the outcome!

This is the final product of my HID light install, with the blue fog lights to match. I was not able to keep the HID bulbs in my fog lights because it was pulling too much power. The fog lights would work for a bit, but then they would cut out. I ordered standard fog light bulbs on eBay to match the color of my headlights.

This was a constant problem after I installed the HID lights. I would turn on the lights and then I would hear a zapping type noise. Only one headlight would function most of the time. A heads up would be that a relay kit is needed for Hid headlights to work on the Elantra. Once the relay kit is installed the power used for the brighter lights is pulled directly from the battery. I have had no problems with the headlights going out since the relay kit has been installed. I also had HID lights running for my fogs, but that was an issue as well because they kept cutting out after running for a few minutes. I fixed that problem by purchasing blue fog lights standard bulbs on eBay for a few bucks. Now the fogs stay on all of the time and the blue theme is still in effect.

These are MSW type 22 rims painted black installed for the summer time. I Installed the spoiler at the same time. This really brought a whole new more aggressive look to my Elantra. I really took my time picking out these rims and I am really happy with the outcome so far.
