TS1 inspired UI replacement (WIP TESTING)

Some of you might have seen my TS1 inspired UI floating around twitter, tumblr, discord etc. I've been having people test it in the Lazy Duchess discord but i've decided to upload it here for others to test and so no one else can claim they made it themselves lol. Sorry for the lazy photos but basically it's a recoloured version of the original UI. Pretty much all the elements are done. I'll keep updating until it is done basically. It's made to suit my resolution which is 1920x1080 but I will add the options for wider screens at a later date. Also not sure how well it works with Legacy editon so just be aware that it might display weird

Things to be added:

-Animated loading screens (yes I worked out how to do it ;) )

-Updating some of the existing recolours to make them cleaner

-Fixing any bits I missed lol

Install instructions

Place the TS1 UI folder into your downloads.

These are the main files needed

Then place this file into your base game UI folder which should be in a directory similar to this "Program Files x86\EA Games\Sims 2\TSData\Res\UI"

This file replaces the background on the main loading menu as it looks weird without it. It is a placeholder.

Do not delete any of the files in your UI folder. (Please)

If you are already using Clean UI or any other UI replacement, Please uninstall them first. They cannot be used together

3t2 Wings (new version)

This is for The Sims 2.

A while ago I shared some recolors using textures from the TS3 fairy wings. I had used a mesh that was too big and caused a weird shadow. That annoyed me a little, so I made custom meshes for each type of wing so the shadow they cast would be more accurate.

I also changed, fixed and optimized a bunch of other things, the most visible one being I decreased the glow in the dark effect so it's less intense. These wings are for toddlers to elders, both genders/bodyshapes and enabled for all clothing categories. They show up in the glasses category.

Known issues:

The wings show up fine during gameplay, but will appear incomplete in Bodyshop, Create a Sim and the Change Appearance dialog. I could not find a solution for this. I will update this post if I ever do.

There will be clipping during some animations and interactions with objects and other sims. It's better to think of the wings as magical body parts that can go through matter... I mean, they even do that in The Sims 3.

4t2 Psychoella Emma Tattoos as Overlay Box

The folder has NoFaceOverlay and resources for DeeDee's tattoo box edit; so if you have them already, you can delete them. Otherwise, do not delete.

There is also a recolor of the Civic Idol poster included.

Michelle's Boomboxes Repo'd to Dance-Off Mat Plus Recolors

I previously repo'd the small boombox to the bigger one but I recently learned @hugelunatic had made a CEP for the Dance-Off Break Dancer Mat that made it recolorable with subsets. These versions of the boomboxes are repo'd to the Apartment Life dance-off mat and I also turned Michelle's recolors into recolors for the dance mat boombox. HugeLunatic's CEP is required, the boomboxes have the same guids and filenames as Michelle's originals so you can let these override the original files

Wall Mounted TV (TS2 Conversion)

I like having a wall mounted TV as it frees up floor space and is more flexible. However, the only option is the expensive plasma screen TV. So I converted this cheap wall mounted TV from the Sims 2.

Made it slightly smaller than the base game TV to differentiate it, and slightly cheaper. Fully functional, including Superstar satellite channels and can be repaired. Can be placed on the same tile as other objects, so plants/counters/bookcases etc can be underneath it.

🌟 Finally, the download links are ready, you will be able to test the MagicTown terrains and I did say TEST only. I will be as explicit as possible but I know that I am sending you into battle.

🗡️💥 And even if it’s with great regret, but most of you may encounter bugs, missing content not showing and a portion of you will never come back from the bloodbath of the pink soup ahead. 🩸

🏚️ For those who wanted to explore MagicTown, it’s too early. I want to make sure that the files will install all the necessary content before publishing the neighborhoods links. So I ask for BRAVE VOLUNTEERS to TEST only the terrains first. These brave warriors can send me (in private messages please, I wouldn’t want to overwhelm the blog) their feedback and their bug images, so that I can determine which content should be downloaded separately.

You will ABSOLUTELY NEED Mootilda’s  Sims 2 Pack Clean Installer, available here

Last September, an MTS member agreed to test the terrains after seeing the pictures posted on one of the site's forums. From her experience, I already know that two sets need to be downloaded separately because the necessary meshes aren't installed from the files :

All the files represent 1.4GB but DON'T PANIC, the total weight in your Downloads folder WILL NOT be 1.4GB, since many of these contents are used multiple times and have therefore been packaged multiple times. You will just have to be careful to install all the CCs in the same folder to ignore/replace the files that are repeated and thus avoid duplicates.

📦 Even though most of you are used to this of exercise, I still advise you to do a backup of your files and install all the custom content in a separate folder, the time to test the lots in an empty neighborhood. You will then be able to compensate for the missing or incomplete content before re-dispatching everything manually or with Delphy’s Download Organizer.
