I am exhausted. Literally drained after todays result regarding independence in Scotland. The vote came in, the results are the voice of the majority of people in scotland and as a society that names itself democratic the sheer vile hatred from BOTH sides is terrifying. I moved to Edinburgh a month or so ago for university reasons, a month ago I joked that in September the big cities would be hell to live in due to the referendum. Now its 2 in the morning, Glasgows shows a spewing forthcoming of anarchists looking for a fight and Im sitting in bed dreading this happening across the country. Do these people represent the no majority? NO. Of course not, just like those who were extremist in terms of the yes campaign werent the majority. These people dont represent our country, all they are is a bunch of thugs. This is terrifying, that Scotland is being whipped up into a frenzy, that people are being hurt and terrorised, so fuck the politics, fuck the reasons, please if you are in an area that shows growing tensions get out of there, go home, stay indoors. Don't become a casualty in the shameful acts of those terrorizing the streets if Scotland tonight, in my mind the people doing harm to others, regardless of what side of the campaign, are the shame of Scotland. Stay safe Scotland.
