#LMAO#missed this one by just a hair#.......i have semi personal beef with her (first iteration of her i saw was fate extra and she starts out by groping you and then#calling you an npc. so i dont like her.) but i cant disagree#shed survive all right#actually the thought of magecraft running shit off the rails is really funny. they have spells for damage control#IF she remembers/bothers and im not sure she knows them personally#but point is it would create a workload for sure -_-

I like how Joshua decided that a moody teenager, who's extremely and intentionally similar to himself, is who he decided was the worst person in all of Shibuya. There's no way he came to this conclusion overnight. Do you think Joshua likes people-watching in the UG, and probably spent a while keeping tabs on Neku, and learning about him from afar, before deciding to pop lead into his stomach? Do you think that when he finally got to speak with him, he'd occasionally let slip information on Neku that he shouldn't have? Yes, I'm sure you memorized his favorite kind of ramen so you could psychologically torment him, and definitely not because you are deprived of social stimuli, and have latched onto this random guy.

I like the fanfiction and AUs where Joshua and Neku are somehow friends who interact regularly despite the natural limitations of the UG and RG. However, I also like the estrangement implied by the game's ending. Joshua is always going to be stuck in the afterlife, and unable to be apart of the cast's everyday lives. That's just the reality of his undead status, and the choices he's made. Everybody's going to grow up, and even possibly move away, and it's interesting to examine how everyone involved would cope with this. They'd all be forced to move on, while wishing eachother the best.
