Anima was a little surprised to be approached, though he shouldn’t be, he reckoned. His smile was a tired but hopeful one.
“Just to sell a few things from out by the woods, and maybe buy some extra clothes and fabric, if you have that.” He was considering a proper hunting knife as well, though he’d made no final decision on that. Basics, sure, but necessities.
From up close, she’d easily tell he probably lived by the woodlands, if not directly in them. He had the scent of lake water.
@windriding (Muse: Anima Verse: Zestiria)
It was fairly early in the morning, sometime in the middle of winter. Not a lot of animals were around in the forest at these times, or at least, they weren’t the easiest to track down. He had a few things he could offer in trade at town, though whether the local merchants would take them or not was another story.
He had heard though, from some locals who he’d passed on the edge of the town, that a group of travelling merchants would be coming by and staying for a short while. The Sparrowfeathers, or something to that effect. His memory was usually abnormally good, but he hadn’t heard the speakers too clearly.
Maybe they wouldn’t have heard the ‘rumours’ yet. About him, about what he’d supposedly done…granted, his abilities were true, so he wouldn’t call those rumours. What qualified as a rumour was….anything else. The murders, especially, regardless of who had done it, always led back to him somehow. He been questioned by authorities but they had no evidence he’d done anything, especially since he hadn’t even known about it until they’d brought it up with him. Locals were convinced though. The irony was, if he wanted, he could change their minds about that. He couldn’t really bring himself to, though, otherwise he would become what they were accusing him of. What defence did he have then?
He shook his thoughts away. The worst he’d really done was steal a few things every now and then. Usually small things, like pieces of food during times he couldn’t find things to hunt, but a few times, he’d taken clothes for sale, and one time, a thick blanket, though he tried not to if he could avoid it. Still, it got cold some days, and he’d rather not die of exposure to the elements. Rain was the worst, though he had shelter for that. A bit shabby, since the deserted building had been covered and repaired by him, but it’d do.
He headed to town in silence with some gathered things wrapped in a large cloth. He’d washed off recently and did what he could to not draw attention to himself, so hopefully few would pay much mind.
As he entered, he looked around for unfamiliar faces who could be offering up trade.

Isa gave a tiny, excited bounce at that. He turned his notebook to a specific page and put it aside for now, then moved over to a strange stump of half-twined vines. It was a thick stump, too.
Some days, this was all he had to do, so no mind if it was overkill.
As he did, he made some hand gestures, causing the vines to climb up themselves. It was hard to say exactly what he was doing.
Unless, that is, one looked at the drawing in the notebook. It showed a sketch of a swing set. He was trying to make one out of vines.
elementalistacademyrp:
He finished his scribbling and held it up. ‘Do you want a hammock? =3’ He liked Koun and found him interesting. He was sure the male was busy often, or at least unhappy. He wanted to help.
Perhaps, too, he felt a bit lonely and wanted to feel useful somehow, to someone else. He was perhaps a bit naive in that sense, and though he had been used before, loneliness overpowered fear.
A look of genuine surprise filtered on Koun’s face before he hid it with a usual grin, looking a bit sheepish at the offer.
“Do I really look like I need a nap or something? Geeze I must, huh?” there were hints of sarcasm in his voice, but also of gratitude. “Thanks for the offer, kid…really, but…I don’t sleep that often. Not…recently at least.”
A pause, as he took in Isa’s face, a sigh leaving him. The kid was innocent….naive….and probably lonely. If this place was any indication of that.
“But…I don’t mind sticking around for a bit. Don’t know what kind of company I can offer, but hey, I can try.”

(Anima)"Well. I have a few really obvious ones, including a stabbing situation, but I guess a physical injury I can think of that meant something to me was a very specific scrape to my knee I got when I was racing my brother in my very early teens. Tried to outrun him, fell, grazed my knee. He helped me tend it. I guess it wouldn't mean much normally but it was during the last week I spent with my siblings before they moved out. I haven't heard from them since.

@elementalistacademyrp Continued from here
For a moment, Koun debated on pulling away from Isa. He wasn’t used to touch, wasn’t used to being grabbed. that he had to clamp down extra hard on his concentration in order to even stay solid.
But the key word there was almost. Because the look of pure joy and happiness on the child’s face was enough to subdue Koun. So he let himself be led.
Questions bubbled in his mind as the scent of burnt trees and dinged ground hit his nose. Sure it was his element, but for some reason, a burnt outf forest made him…uneasy. Perhaps it was just backlash from his first memories. Whatever it was, he kept it to himself, for there was no reason to upset Isa.
He hadn’t been expecting the little patch of green. Obviously this was a haven of sorts to Isa.
“Huh…nice little place ya got here….” he muttered, despite knowing that the child wouldn’t verbally answer him. An ear flicked down, taking note that his escort was once again scribbling in his notepad.

@forgottenluck Isa was a little shy, but he seemed pleased by the acceptance and bounced a little, taking his arm and beginning to walk. They walked for a short while, and entered a forest that appeared to have been decimated by a fire some time ago. It was beginning to grow back. However, they reached a clearing that was surrounded by mostly dead and charred trees, and found a scenic patch of grass, flowers and a hammock made of vines, along with tree roots creating stairs that led to said hammock. There wasn't much doubt that Isa had made it himself. Surreal, perhaps, but there was a weird beauty to it. One could argue weird-ass symbolism. As Koun took in the scene, Isa began to scribble something in his notebook once more.
(Elementalistacademyrp - Isa) The young boy pulls on Koun's sleeve and lifts his notebook. It reads: 'follow me?'
To be honest with himself, He hadn’t expected to see the kid around. Didn’t seem like the type ot stray too far from those he knew or trusted. So to be asked to follow him? Koun was a bit more than surprised.
“Hey there, Kiddo….follow ya? Well, I’m not doing anything right now so I guess it wouldn’t hurt.”
He’d been meaning to check on the kid anyways.
