Sherlolly Appreciation Week 2024
Get excited Sherlollians because a new appreciation week is on its way! This will be our 10th year in a row of celebrating our favorite science nerds – I can’t believe we have been doing this for 10 years!!! My little nerd heart is so happy you are all still here celebrating with me!
This year we are focusing on your favorite Sherlolly moments, both canon and those headcanons or moments found in fanfics and fanart. Please feel free to use the prompts however you are inspired, meaning the canon prompts do not have to lead to creations that are still canon compliant, nor do you simply have to “answer” the question of the Headcanon prompt…let your creativity fly! I want to see all of the meta, GIF sets, photo edits or manips, fanart, and fanfiction pieces you can create!
Keep an eye out for the tag: ‘sherlollyweek2024’. I will post any updates or news about the appreciation week under that tag! That will also be the tag that you use when you post your response to the daily prompts. Can’t wait to see what you lovelies come up with!

Benedict with writer Abi Morgan were part of the 2024 Netflix UK showcase to talk all things Eric, the mini series directed by Lucy Forbes.
Netflix UK held its initial Next on Netflix UK slate of reveals, which looks ahead at what’s coming to Netflix throughout the remainder of 2024, 2025, and beyond. Members of the press, influencers, and those involved with Netflix in various capacities were welcome to visit London to see some of the upcoming titles...
Eric - We only got a tiny clip from this one with Benedict Cumberbatch displaying his acting chops in an interrogation room with a voice tormenting him. Not much can be garnered thus far, but it appears that Cumberbatch's performance is very much going to be at the center of this title. I'm looking forward to it.

Netflix UK will unveil all the clips shown at this event this week (March 18th to 24th).
Eric is scheduled for next March 22! Possibly we will get a teaser trailer? and hopefully, a date release! 🤞🤞

Benedict Cumberbatch regularly draws rave reviews for his acting work and has appeared opposite many big names. His work in the upcoming Netflix series Eric opposite a big blue monster puppet got him particularly emotional though, the star shared in London on Thursday.
Cumberbatch was touched by the hard work going into the fluffy monster. “I literally cried the day I realized what he was doing, which must have been about four months in. He showed me the headgear, and I put it on,” he shared. “He has this thing across his eyes, which relays four different camera points that are static camera shots to show him the acting space that he’s in. So he’s seeing himself move through space. He’s not seeing where he’s going himself. He’s seeing the image that you’re seeing as a viewer, but from static points, and having to deliver a performance” while not falling over or “bumping into things.
Cumberbatch’s takeaway: “It’s a miraculous skill. So we formed a very close bond.”
