#my school once received a bomb threat just before the final exams#but we never knew because noone in the faculty checked the official school email that morning#they realised after but it was already past the time it was ment to go of#also im pretty sure there wasnt a single legitimate bomb threat in my country in like#forever#students just sometimes send those kinds of emails in order to delay exams cose the police has to check if its fake or not#the real violence happened before that#when during ww2 some scouts executed narcs in the building that was my highschool

So recently the mayor of my city placed a bunch of sharp stones under a bridge commonly used by homeless people to escape the harsh tropical storms we experience during the summer
A priest decided that was an utterly anti humanitarian course of action (rightfully so) and so his solution.. was to destroy those rocks with a hammer.
I'm not Catholic (in fact, I grew up Jewish and am now atheist) but I feel this is what religion is supposed to be about. Using the divine to help humans behave a little more... human.

as a knitter, you start to notice how rare it is for characters in tv shows and movies to knit correctly. from worst to best, it ranges from:
- laughably incorrect, just flinging yarn around
- knitting the most basic scarf incredibly slowly because the actor Learned How To Do It For The Role
- old lady actresses casually knitting an intricate lace pattern while doing a monologue
